🖌️The location is perfect for visiting Berlin's sights.
Great accomodation in Berlin that was in a good location for transport and walking. The area was quiet which was good seeing as we were there for NYE. We could stay away from the thick of the fireworks but also close enough from the action to view some from our hotel or a short walk away. Also, the breakfast was great and still the best chocolate Pain au chocolat I’ve had in my life.
The rooms are small, somewhat dirty in places, with extremely uncomfortable pillows and mattresses — everything is terribly hard, and the pillows feel like stones. The place hasn’t been renovated in a long time; there’s rust and mold in the shower. Breakfast is not bad, which is definitely a plus, especially if you’re on vacation with your family and need to grab a quick meal before a long day of sightseeing. The location is good.
There are issues with parking — you can’t reserve a spot in advance, only on arrival. What difference does it make if you reserve it for me now for the given dates or on the spot?! On top of that, you can’t open the parking gate with your card; you have to go to the receptionist so they can walk with you and open it manually.
Mixed impressions overall. It’s okay, but for this price next time I’ll choose the Radisson.
More seriously, on the morning of July 10th at around 9:00 AM, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly displayed on my door, a member of cleaning staff entered my room without knocking. At that time, I was in the middle of an important online meeting and giving a presentation, and this intrusion was extremely disruptive and unprofessional.
I visit Berlin often and have stayed at many hotels, but I have never encountered such issues elsewhere in the city.
