Hüttenpalast in Berlin

We had a perfect couple of days in the Hüttenpalast. The garden is just beautiful, a peaceful place to rest in the vibrant city. Just perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Friendly people and a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!

Lovely people, spacious caravans and a great cafe, too. After one of the friendliest welcomes ever, my son and I put our stuff in the caravan. At 1.9m I'm the short one but there was enough space for both of us. We took a drink from the cafe to the courtyard and then explored the neighbourhood, which had a tiny independent cinema/restaurant, fantastic junk shop and an Ethiopian restaurant. Plenty more but I don't want to spoil the surprises for you. Everything was perfect.

Overall, very clean, spacious, and quiet in Berlin. Very convenient and good value if you want to be in Kreuzberg/Neukölln. I stayed in one of the private hotel rooms, which was nice and well-appointed, but much less charming than the cabins and caravans (which don't have private baths). It was a little tricky for me to figure out the heat, but once I did, the room was toasty. The bed was firm - a bit hard for me, but that's better than too soft. Good coffee (senseo system) in the room. No TV but I couldn't care less. I found it a little odd that the small shower stall had neither door nor curtain - the area of the bathroom just outside the stall got very wet. But the water pressure was strong and hot water was very hot - the bathroom was excellent other than that one issue of not having a door or curtain on the stall. There is a very nice-looking little garden, but the weather was cold and largely rainy while I was there. The main reason I give it less than five stars is the limited check-in and reception hours. No on-site service beyond 9am-6pm, and late check-in is only possible until 10pm. (Early check-out is fine.) That did require me to choose an earlier and more expensive flight than I would have liked. This is clear on their website but it wasn't on the booking site that I used. (They did mention it immediately when I made the booking. If it had been a big problem for me, I could have canceled with no charge.) The staff I did have contact with were friendly and helpful, and late check-in was very easy with advance notice.

We stayed here for four days visiting from New York. Very easy and friendly check in. Our caravans were just as cute as the website photos!!

The bathroom was very clean and we appreciated the teapot to boil water to have tea in the afternoons. The wifi was very fast (actually better than a luxury hotel we stayed in!)

Our favorite part of this hostel though was the neighborhood! It has a very cool vibe. We loved the places to eat and have coffee.

The customer care, ambiance, cleanliness, location and creativity of this stay was unmatched.

Everyone involved in the upkeep of this place made us feel welcomed and every step of our stay was thought out even when other hotel rooms we looked at were overpriced and paled in comparison to how we were treated and cared for here. Kreuzberg, the neighbourhood Huttenpalast is located in was also walkable, vibrant, yet relaxed. The whole place was also so spotless, flowers were up-kept and it was a pleasure to explore the cafe and the different corners of creativity at this stay.

If the caravan stay peeked your interest, just wait till you experience the rest of what this oasis has to offer its guests.

I've been in love with this hotel from a far for years. I absolutely love vintage caravans so couldn't wait to plan trip to Berlin to visit.
It's super cute and really cool. The space is well thought out, with your own 'camping' space, and good beds in the caravans, shared bathroom and complementary tea and coffee. It's also in a great location with an interesting neighborhood and good local bars and restaurants.
only downside is it's noisy at night from other guests in the hall, it was also very hot in the hall so not ideal for sleeping.
The owners are helpful and friendly and cafe is great for breakfast. I'd love to see it in the summer with the outdoor seating area, I'd love to know more about the caravans.

What a brilliant location. Were there on a wedding party.
We had already heard a lot, but the first impression was really great. Really comfortable no gym atmosphere. And this attention to Detail what these different homes and huts to sleep in. Great Compliment!
The courtyard invited as cozy, lots of Seating, partially covered. A Hollywood swing, and a lot of Green plants make it cuddly.
The staff are really relaxed and super friendly.
