Hotel Sylter Hof Berlin in Berlin

The room was quite small but reasonably clean.

Unfortunately, my room was on the 2nd floor facing the main street, and the noise from traffic was noticeable even with the window closed, which made it difficult to sleep.

Breakfast was simple and basic, nothing special, but acceptable for a short stay.

Overall, the stay was okay, but the noise level could be a problem for light sleepers.

They don't know how to deal with reservations made by travel agency. I arrived at 11PM, at that time there is no reception, the security guy is in charge of security, bar and reception. He is very nice but after 1 hour of trying (past mid-night then) he was still unable to see that the travel agency had paid for the reservation (it was a business travel and I was with the travel agency on the phone, confirming everything was paid). After 1 hours I gave up and paid myself. It took another 30 minutes the following morning for them to understand that the travel agency was indeed paying and to refund me (hopefully it is still not on my bank account)... and with all that they didn't even offer the breakfast or a coffee the following morning.
Nice people, very tiny rooms but ok, clean.... but from what I understood it was not the first time they were facing this issue and they just don't know how to deal with reservation made by travel agency... too bad for a hotel... go away if you are on business trip.
By the way zoological garten bahnhauf is really not a place where you want to be alone in at night.

The locations is fine. However, everything is due renovation. Just 1no lift was working and I had absolutely no hot water in my bedroom. Best I could get was mucky water at dawn. The reception always with the same excuse that the whole hotel shares the same boiler and people are taking shower. For just a little more you can stay in a more pleasant hotel

Have booked an apartment. Pictures on the booking sites show kitchen. Totally empty kitchen cupboards. Reception informs you are paying extra for access to the fridge!!! which double rooms don't have. You can for 30 💶 get box with kitchen utensils, and it's NOT a refundable deposit. Not mentioned anywhere. Balcony mentioned on booking sites, but no pictures. I've uploaded pictures of both, please also notice the dirty kitchen table. It quite understandable why they show pics of kitchen and not balcony. But it is misleading customers. Oh, I have to warn you about the WiFi. 6mbps at the desk and 2.3 in the bedroom, cannot imagine how it will be when they start having guest and it will be shared. Not for business purposes!
