Not very comfortable Reception was closed when we arrived, but self check in worked fine. Beds were hard and not very comfortable. Woke up several times from people coming and leaving and noise from the cleaning staff early in the morning. Not the best night’s sleep.

A very pleasant stay! Located on a quiet street in the Mitte district, it's within walking distance of many restaurants and not far from the metro and tram stations. The rooms were new, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was plentiful.

I lived with two other people, so the space was very large, and my roommates were all very nice. The view outside was also absolutely gorgeous, probably because of the bright sunshine.

Although the location isn't near the train station, the city isn't large. It's just three stops on tram number 11 from the new city train station, then a five or six-minute walk. While the bathrooms are shared, they are clean and well-designed, making them easy to use. There's free coffee at the reception on the first floor, and free tea bags in the kitchen. The location is very good. As a youth hostel, the room is just so-so. But the locks and towels are charged. On the day of check-in, I was with the youth football team, and the black kids were noisy in the corridor until midnight.

Have to explain why I’m giving 3/5 for cleanliness: I think there was a trash juice leakage in the stairway which left a trail and stank while I was staying. Other than that it’s a perfect place for solo travelling - good price to value, friendly staff, ease of checking in and out, adequate facilities and amenities... Overall it was a great experience

The hostel is very nice and clean. The localisation is great. The only issue are very thin walls, during nights it is extremely noisy. Hard to get some sleep.

Excellent hostel in a good neighboorhood with plenty of places to get breakfast, eat and drink. We had a small 3 bed appt but it was all we needed. It was quiet, clean and the facilities were just down the hall. Might come again when revisiting Berlin.

Not good for light sleepers, you can hear the train running and people talking outside even when windows closed; moreover, the floor makes noise when anyone walks. But overall a great place to stay, great location, clean bed supplies, functional bathroom and basically everything a person needs for staying a few days. Will visit again if I ever come back to Berlin.

Happy with how cosy the private rooms are, I think the bathrooms were also excellent. Beds comfy, everything really clean. Location is wonderful. Only thing I will say is that the floors are really creaky meaning that I got woken up a few times by people walking around outside, and there's a lot of noise from the street outside. There were separete bathrooms(single shared baths outside the room), that we very appriciated. In the bathrooms there was a hair dryer and we were also given an additional towel under your legs and for yourself The room was nice and very comfortable. The check-in was really fine and easy. Very kind lady told us everthing neccessary and important for our stay. 9/10

The hostel is easy to get to. There are some unsavoury characters hanging around the neighbourhood but not directly outside the hostel. Facilities were ok, but the dorms really need privacy curtains. There were also dishes regularly left in the kitchen sink. Staff were great. However, some sorta social events should be organised as there was no atmosphere.

The location of the hostel is very good, easy to walk in all directions. There is a private toilet and shower per room. The kitchen is open, meaning everyone can use it. It's a very good price. I found the place clean. There is internet and a socket near the bed.

I stayed here for a week in a one bed room with a private bath. The place is clean, has a kitchen and is situated in a great location, close to the river and the main train station. The staff is friendly (big thanks to the handsome guy who helped us with our laundry). The only disadvantage was the cooktop which didn’t really work. But I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends.

Just adding onto my review from November 2021 after staying for a duration of times a couple times in May 2022. Townside has pretty much everything a traveller needs, and the location is great. The staff are friendly and accommodating (big shoutout to Darleen). Gets a little hot on the top floor.

Took a twins room, let's just say that we enjoyed our stay very well, but the nearest building was under constructions that started at 6am... not the best morning.

It is basically a self-checkin hostel with individual rooms. Everything was always clean and location is great. Rooms have big windows and the sharing bathroom is not bad. Totally recommend! :)

Everything was perfect! Only one minor point: we booked for two nights, but we only received towels once. It would have been nice to get clean towels for the second day as well.

Fantastic place to stay in a great location. Obviously a shared bathroom but that’s why it’s super cheap. Could ask for much more. Bed are comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. It wasn't clear to me this was a hostel when i booked. There was nobody to take a call when I couldn't get in, I was directed to WhatsApp AI. One of the showers didn't work. The bed side lamps where horrible. Location was great and rooms were clean. Luckily no it crowded. I don't think there was enough bathrooms to handle all the bedrooms on that floor

This hostel is an Oasis in the middle of Frankfurt's downtown heart. Pity I could take only one night, as I was meant to spend the next 3 with other 3 colleagues, and this place was PERFECT for our stay... I realised when it was too late. I now know for next year! Will be coming back.

I really enjoyed my time in the clean, positive-spirited, well maintained hostel with lovely soft bed and even other luxuries like water kettler and a free WiFi! While cheap, the place was pretty mediocre. The beds were kind of bad too. The location is great though.

Elevator's not working even though it is present, so I had to carry my luggage to the 5th floor myself. The pillows and the mattresses are hillarious, WiFi is only downstairs, and it smells like cigarettes in the common room because of bad ventilation in the smoking area. But it is cheap and very centrally located. Also the ladies room is very nice.

The hostel is nice, the location is decent, suitable for backpackers. If you stay alone, you can meet some foreign friends, eat and chat together. There's a supermarket downstairs and a subway station nearby. Besides, for this price in Berlin, don't be picky, it's really a good deal.

My brother’s first ever hostel stay and he was fine. Checkin was via a box outside, we never saw a person working there the whole time! Room was good, twin room, really comfy beds. The rooms have interesting names, creative decorations and are well maintained (plus you get your own locker with a key). The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hostel is easily accessible from public transportation.

You would get somehing worse for the same price in many other cities in the world. So i dont complain about quality. They could improve the cleanliness especially in the toilets, and check in at 3 pm is definitely too late.

Slamba hostel is located in a busy street with tram (rail publictransport) stopping infront. That makes the rooms (located at front) noisy till late at nigth. Rooms have no airco so windows are used for ventilation and cooling. Tv has no international channels. First impression of the house, the hostel is situated in, was not the best, but after entering the actual hostel it was great. Everything is pretty newly built, the room is small but enough if you don't want to stay there all day and even has a balcony. The location is clean and the staff is nice. Allround good experience, would book it again.

This hostel is conveniently located right next to a supermarket and a subway station. The all-female rooms offer excellent value for money. And, most importantly, the owner is Chinese and very nice!

The hotel is located in the courtyard on the 4th and 5th floors of an office building. The rooms are basic but clean, the internet is fast, and the shower doesn't get hot. Well located. Good for a short stay in the city. Right in the city center, everything within walking distance. However, it's also quite noisy and poorly soundproofed. The bed is very comfortable.

Although quite shabby on the outside, the minute we walked through the door, we were so comfortable. We were greeted by the lovely Sophie and given the tour of the hostel. It’s super quirky and unlike anything we ever stayed in. To top it all off, the garden was amazingly lush and quiet and the coffee was awesome.
