B&B Hotel Aachen-Nord, Aachen1 / 30
7.1
Aachen, Strangenhäuschen 15 (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Somewhere between a Travelodge and an Immigration Centre. It is conveniently located and cheap, and perhaps my expectations were off having stayed at a swish new B&B Hotel in Switzerland, but this place is very old and tired. The bedroom was clean, and I had a reasonable night's sleep. But the rest of it is very tired and worn, with ingrained stains. On the plus side it's pretty close (15 min walk...
Covenient, clean, economic and quiet. Close to a friendly sports facility with beer and basic meals. No issues but no luxuries. Breakfast basic. Easy parking. My fourth stay here and never any problems. Easy access to motorway. I will continue using this hotel whe4n crossing Europe.
I normally look for a cheaper F1, but the best value locally appeared to be the IBIS. At twice the rate of an F1, I was pleased to see the extra €25 really does make a difference. The warm welcome was genuine. The room was extremely clean and did not smell of smoke. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. And the ensuite toilet and shower all definitely made the extra cost worthwhile. Sometimes...
Not a wonderful Hotel but served our needs for a Hotel adjacent to the autobahn exactly.
Change of Etap hotel to Ibis budget is great. Rooms are more comfortable. For example no plastic shower-toilet cabin with anymore. Now the toilet is separated from the rest. Furnishings are also nicer. Quiet room and breakfast was also ok. Kind person at the reception desk. Acces to highway very easy. I can really advise this hotel.
My wife compared this hotel to her dorm room in college. But it had a shower in the room and a toilet in the closet. Internet worked well and it was good for a stop on our way to a 4x4 event. We would have had issues if we would have been towing the jeep only one pull thru area that was already taken when we got there. Right across from an ADAC center.

The staff is very nice and helpfull. We had a very warm welcome. After checking in we brought our luggage to the room and went to the restaurant for diner. The food was amazing, I loved the Aachener Sauerbraten. The meat was so tender and the sauce was really complimenting the meat instead of overpowering. And the creme brulee for dessert was so nice and sweet. One of the best I have tasted in a while...
2 Major issues: 1-It was claimed to have a swimming pool durin booking. The lady told it's closed and that's it. (If so, why am I fooled?) 2-Too much dust on the table and you can see fingerprints, maybe not wiped in 2 weeks. Could be cleaner.
I recently stayed here before hiking the Eifelsteig and I was very happy with my stay. It's not a super luxurious place, but it provided all I needed and the staff was especially friendly and helpful. The lady at the reception seemed as excited about my hike as I was :-) The lunch package was also great. It gave me plenty of fuel for my day on the trail.
After reading the reviews here I expected the worst. But I was pleasantly surprised: Super comfy bed (slept like a rock), good smelling room, quiet surroundings, friendly staff, even a bathtub. Of course you can't expect a 5 star hotel and I wouldn't spend an entire vacation here, but for the price we paid (63€ one night for 2 people) it was absolutely great.
Older hotel with all the amenities, but could use some room upgrades. Mattress was soft, bathroom was small and should have a shower curtain to be able to take a normal shower without making the whole bathroom wet. Parking can be a challenge since there is only street parking and the roads are pretty busy around the hotel. But apart from one evening I had parking in front of the entrance. Friendly...
Had a lovely stay at this place. Staff were excellent. Our son who has autism and LD didn’t like the evening meal, but that wasn’t a problem Eileen who was very friendly and helpful cooked him something he did like. Thank you Eileen from Mark.. Bedrooms were basic but clean, tidy and warm, and the shower was clean and water hot. Bedding was also clean and fresh. Pillows were the best I have ever...

the bathrooms are very clean and the single rooms are quite neat, there is a safe for valuables also in the closet
Very nice hotel. Very good breakfast. Only about 5 minutes to walk to the dom, town hall and treasury. And about 10 minutes to the shopping centre. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars is: the Wi-Fi wasn't working in our room. If you are reliant on it, it can be very frustrating. But the gentleman said he would look into it.
Very nice rooms, central position and friendly staff!
The Hotel has a perfect location. It is just next to the downtown (altstadt). The breakfast is very good as well. The internet connection could be better. If u depends on internet, I recommend to choose another hotel.
The rooms may look a bit outdated, but everything is in order. The service is very good and so is the breakfast. Would recommend.
If you accept the shoddy 80s interior and thin walls, the stay is pleasant. Very polite staff. Close to the center an train station. Not worth 81 EUR including breakfast, though.

Am Marschiertor Hotel opened in 1971 but the building is older. The family managed hotel is located at 200m from Aachen railway station, and offers 55 rooms over 4 floors. It is not a 3-star accommodation, more a 1.5-star ‘Monteurzimmer’ hotel. Complimentary breakfast. Furnishings and decoration provide a clean, yet outdated atmosphere. Tea and coffee in thermos-cans all day at reception. Reception...
This is an affordable nice hotel in the center of Aachen. The breakfast was nice. The bed was bad. It was too small and the mattress was very bad. I couldn’t get a good night sleep. It was also very noisy.
The location for us travelling by train was excellent. It was just several minutes walk. For the price it was a good hotel. We enjoyed the breakfasts. I liked that they had coffee and tea out 24/7, you could buy other drinks and that glasses were provided. The reception staff members were very helpful. The only downside was that we got put on the top floor where there was no elevator so we had to take...
Older but well run clean hotel, easy access from the train station with a short walk into the old part of the city. Very good breakfast. Would recommend.
Lovely overnight stay before catching Eurostar to Paris. Great all in breakfast!
The property was in a nice spot and was well maintained and clean. For a short trip it was a lovely location.

The room was very clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. Extremely good value for money. Would definitely stay there again. They also have a comprehensive menu for dinner which they serve until 9pm. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet is great, with lots of choice and delicious bread rolls.
Nice size room. Clean and well placed
Big clean rooms, quiet locality, swimming pool, and reasonable prices. Some of the rooms are located on the lower floors of an apartment complex. No complaints.
I've visited the hotel over many years and being part of a retirement house doesn't detract from the quality service. The room are always in good condition and always clean. The staff are also very accommodating with various requests. Breakfast is always great here and I simply cannot fault the quality. One thing may be irritating and that is the noise the crowd make in the trees after sunset in the...

Beautiful setting, admirable menu, super sevice from the waiters who are very friendly and attentive! My favorite is their French Onion Soup, and there is great salad bar.
Situated just outside City with Park & Ride a few minutes walk with very frequent bus service into the City centre. Made very welcome on arrival and directed to pleasant, spacious room. The restaurant was good for our evening meal and a good breakfast provided.
Decent hotel that has seen better days. A bit pricy for the location in my opinion, but as breakfast was included I guess it was fair.
This hotel is exceptionally clean. Room is nice and big. The only con is the smell. There’s a very strong smell of soap on the hallway and in the room. But after two days your nose kind of get used to it. Breakfast is included, offering a good and healthy selection of food. The restaurant is always busy but waiters are plenty. Worth noting: no one wears mask now. A few minutes walk away, there is a...
Great food and service! Salad buffet offered. Varous deserts and cakes. Relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!

We stayed for a night in this hotel. As a turist I didnt feel foreign. Everything was clean and decorations were good. I met with Eli and Neli, the girls work in the hotel. Enjoyed their company and energy. I recommend this place, thanks.
I stayed here for one night last week and everything was fine. I felt the room, service and breakfast was more than adequate for what I paid. It is a simple but decent hotel. Indeed the room was very warm when I entered, but it seemed to be the heat from the days before lingering inside the building. I put the fan in front of the open window and let it blow cool air from outside inside for several...
For the price (at my visit 61€/night) hotel was excellent! Rooms are clean and in good condition. Breakfast was small, but everything tasted good. Staff is not always around, but that was not an issue. I checked in fastly from the automated system outside. That's where you get your room key as well. Location is not so bad - 1,3km from old town. On the other hand you have very nice spa close and from...
We stayed for three nights, found getting our room key card and access easy. Our room was clean, tidy and cosy. Breakfast gave a nice selection Parking is a bit of a problem, we parked at Blücherplatz just a 5 /10 minute walk away €5 a night, it looks a bit dodgy but in fact safe enough and the ticket machine has a English button but note it doesn't accept card only cash ( or down load a app) The...

Definitely recommended and will come back if we ever go to Aken again. The rooms were very clean, the staff was kind, the price was great and there were people saying that there was mold but there was no mold. I stayed for two nights in August 2025. I'm quite satisfied with my stay. But I'm a type of person who needs a clean place to sleep and that's it. I spend my days outside exploring the city so in this regard this place was perfect for me. It's only a 25 minutes walk away from the city hall. Although if you are bringing heavy suitcase like I did I wouldn't recommend walking from the train station,...
The people at this hotel are very friendly and the quality of the bed is good. Upon arrival it took some time for someone to welcome us and the room we had wasn't entirely clean (hair in bed) and fixed (some broken lamps), but the manager offered us another room or clean sheets so we could at least sleep feeling like the room was clean. I did expect somewhat better overall value for what we had to...
Everything was as expected. The family room that we booked (3 adults, 1 child) was very clean but on the main road so we had to sleep with the window shut. The beds were very creeky every time someone moved in bed. The coffee and tea making facilities in the bedroom lacked substance. The breakfast was great.
First of all, the location is fairly close to the motorway. The rooms were very nice; heating was good, beds were comfortable. The staff were kind. But most importantly: the breakfast was AMAZING. There was food, ranging from a selection of ham to a selection of cheese, to fresh, warm scrambled egg, to mozzarella balls, to yogurt, to cereal and much more. Cheap but OK Contrary to previous reviews, the hotel is OK, especially for the price. The room is small and the bathroom is compact as well, yes, but they are definately enough. Three stars for value for money. Rooms are neat and clean but also Spartan in presentation. If you are not seeking five star accommodation and simply need a clean bed and a reasonable location then this place suits. Mattress is fine but not 4 or 5 star. I have a share bathroom and its in the same vein - simple, uncomplicated, clean but practical. Location is good with very close bus services. In fact...
All the basics, none of the extras. For the price, quite alright.
It's a moderate hotel. You've got all you need. A bed, a shower and breakfast for a little extra money and for 48€ a night I think it's all right. The rooms are clean but very simple in terms of furniture. The house and hallways are rather old and less hotel like. But as I said before. For that prize you can't really expect a lot more. The location is pretty good. You can walk or take the bus from the train station very quickly. Opposite is the opera house, cinema, post office, near DM, and a little further up is the supermarket and Media Markt, which sells electronic products. I loved the location. Not a bad walk from the train station and heheh you are just at the edge of the good stuff- an old German restaurant next door, the Cathedral a block or 2 around the corner. The bar wasn’t as appealing as some as the other Motel Ones I’ve been too- a little more business feeling. But I’ve come to love the color and decor scheme of this chain. A clean hotel, a good hotel, recently refurbished They put me in a room at the end of the corridor, just as I’d asked. I had a good night’s sleep All the keys worked perfectly. Thank you for the stay.
The location is great, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the hotel offers a parking subsidy. The parking lot is just across the street, which is very convenient for those driving. There are also many restaurants and shops nearby.

I stayed at this place with my friend during our visit to Aachen. In the morning, my friend went downstairs to get coffee from the machine but was having trouble with it. Since there was no one at the reception, he called me to help. I quickly went down barefoot (without shoes) just to assist him — not realizing this would become an issue. The coffee machine wasn’t accepting notes, and at that moment...
Amazing polyglot service at reception, comfortable and spacious rooms and cozy beds with individual sized blankets and your own washroom! The room was spacious enough for a solo stay (there were two single beds pushed together) and very clean. I was a bit worried because I had heard that the bathroom was small, but it was perfectly fine for me, possibly because I’m petite. good location, near train station, clean environment and friendly staff
We had a lovely stay. Thank you.
The B&B Hotel Aachen-Hbf is a budget-friendly hotel conveniently located near Aachen's main train station. It offers modern, clean rooms with free WiFi and is praised for its helpful staff. The hotel provides good value for money, although some amenities like breakfast and parking may not be available. It's a solid choice for travelers seeking affordable and central accommodation in Aachen.
There is a chinese / asian receptionist that attended to us around 8pm on 18 Dec when we were checking in. We thought he was particularly rude in his expressions and sentences and has a condescending tone. In addition there is no complimentary water being provided which is usually provided by other hotels.

Dear Dömens family, thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. I'm already looking forward to being your guest again. I will definitely recommend this guesthouse. Thank you very much and best regards, Dirk Masson and Gerd Lünemann.
Very friendly and helpful hosts Fair prices A beautifully furnished living room, fully equipped kitchen, and a beautiful bathroom create a cozy, pleasant atmosphere For family reasons, I frequently stay in the Eschweiler, Stolberg, and Aachen area. Pension Doemens is now—by far—my personal number one accommodation.
The guesthouse is in a very quiet location. The shower, kitchen, and living room are shared by all the guests. The only possible criticism is that conversations from the room can easily be heard from outside, even when spoken quietly.
Prima.
I have really enjoyed staying here. Had a small and cosy private room on the 2nd floor. It was clean and very warm. On the 1st floor there is a spatious kitchen with all one need to roast, boil or bake. Nice living room nearby. The Ms. Doemens was really nice and polite.

Cheap for a stay. But rooms are old and cleanness is questionable.
Reasonable hotel. Close to station. Clean and minimalistic rooms Decent for a couple of nights stay.
The hostel was near the station, which is good especially when you have luggage. There was no kettle in the room, but if you go to the reception hall there is a machine where you can get hot water for tea/instant noodles. The kids love bunk bed so that was good. The center isnt too far, like elisebrunen or the dom.

Because of the automated check-in, you do have to wait until the allotted time. However, this is the only real drawback.
