Good infrastructure and breakfast but VERY disappointed as we were told the parking was FREE and when my wife checked out, the guy charged 20 euros and was rude to her. Not even a "I'm sorry about it" which is the minimum of what a decent hotel would do. We later returned at night to complain and ask for a refund, we were even offered a champagne in return (which is the same as money) and didn't accept because we were going to fly in the next few hours.
We would never stay there again, next time you should charge parking at check-in to avoid this big misunderstanding!

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Ludwig. The room was very clean and the service is excellent!

No thrills, frills or nonsense excellent small hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great choice for breakfast. Very clean rooms. 5 minute walk from the station on a relatively quit square.
Only downside was the lack of an airco while it was extremely hot and humid.

Close to the old town of Cologne, you can reach everything well to foot. The staff are all very nice and offer you good Service?

Very easy access from the Cologne rail station, rooms have a very modern feel although the breakfast could have been better for the 12 euros it costs per day.

I have to regularly do at the Hotel Ludwig. In addition to the Central location, the friendly staff, almost family atmosphere and the well thought-out and appropriate equipment is worth mentioning. Also "behind the Scenes", everything is clean and well maintained. Absolutely recommended.

We were at Christmas time. There is a wonderful Christmas decoration with a proper railway under the Christmas tree in the hall and in the afternoon delicious Gluehwein. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The nice lady at the reception gave us great tips for our city tour. The rooms are clean and the Hotel is in a neat condition. The Breakfast is very tasty. We have booked the room directly with the Hotel, which was the most favorable. When we come back to Cologne we will certainly look to staying again in the Ludwig.

The stay Hotel was fine. Rooms are spacious and clean. The decor is not modern but has everything what is needed. It is located just a 3-minute walk to the city centre and only a stone's throw from the Hbf.
