The hotel itself is quiet and cozy, and the breakfasts were really good too. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back if I visit Cologne again

We were greeted by receptionist Marina when we arrived and asked her lots of questions and she was so helpful and also recommended a fantastic local restaurant for dinner, we ate there twice it was so good! We would definitely stay here again

The hotel was clean and tidy, our room was on the 6th floor so nice and quiet, it have everything you needed and was very clean, the bathroom and shower a little small but a good shower

We have just returned from a very nice 3 night stay at the Hotel Esplanade. The hotel was in a good location around a 20 minute walk from the Cathedral and other interesting sites

The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food and drink

I will certainly stay in Hotel Esplanade next times i visit the city. I was given a nice clean and quiet room, moreover i especially enjoyed the breakfast and the convenient location.

Best hotel to stay in Roddenkirchen bf area. Easy and quick accessibility to the bus and tram. Located near the Rhine river. Major shopping locations are nearby.

This was the second time I got an experience staying in this hotel during the hot summer days in cologne and I missed air-conditioning room, which they don’t have, they provide fan. Rest all the Room is very nice

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was abundant and tasty and the service was excellent. The room has hairdryer and air-conditioning. The bathroom is much larger than the common hotel bathroom

There is also a tramline right outside the hotel for convienice! The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom was modern, clean and the shower was of good quality. I would highly recommend this place

Peacefully located close to public transport , this by far is a very convenient hotel one can find in Cologne. 1/2 stops away from the busy shopping centers and walking distance the most famous cathedral

Easy walk into the City, truly wonderful experience - recommend bike hire from Radstation at the main station - excellent bike routes and such fun

Our room was not ready on time, so they gave us chocolate and wine as an apology thats very kind of them. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I hate doing that because if it doesn't work, you're screwed. Anyway, parking was good though seeing that it was dark when we arrived, it was a little difficult to actually find the parking

We stayed here one night with my friend, his wife, and 5 year old. The rooms were very nice and clean and it was quiet. We arrived on their quiet day and thus had to use the lock-box to get our keys

The location is very close to the train line, which is perfect unless traveling with children and a buggy, as the city centre train stations have so many addicts

Excellent, very convenient to go anywhere. I would consider it again when traveling for business. I was a little disappointed that there was no breakfast

Good value as many hotels were sold out or high prices during the Christmas Markt season. My daughter and I walked and visited 5 Christmas Markts from the Hotel Boulevard and would have made e 6 if not for rain

The room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. A balcony is available upon request for smokers. Parking is available for €16 per day. It's close to the center (15-minute walk). The staff were very welcoming.

The owners are very friendly and accommodating; we felt very comfortable. The room wasn't quite ready upon arrival, but they took care of it quickly and easily. We would definitely come back.

Great place I haven't stayed at Hotel Boulevard for some years (just because I haven't been in Cologne much), but being back was like returning home. I like the place.

The location of the Sion Hotel is great, right near the Heumarkt and the cathedral. Nice staff, good breakfast buffet. The double rooms and bathrooms are a bit small, but you don't spend too long in the hotel

I visited this hotel with my girlfriend for a 2-day trip to Cologne. We were welcomed positively at the reception and led to our hotel room fairly quickly. The room looked good and tidy

The only real defect was that the shower gel holder had fallen off the wall. Bending down is good morning exercise 😃

The best part was that they gave us a coupon for a free beer at the bar, and they were delicious

The airline lost our luggage for 5/7 days of our trip and the hotel staff went above and beyond, even going so far as to check what rights we had, finding out about how to go about reimbursement, and checking in to see if we had gotten it yet! Our train doesn’t leave until 1:00 so the front desk allowed us to stay in our room till 12! We have felt so at home here and can’t wait to come back!

A very very good choice! Very clean, very safe, very quiet! I slept directly, though i can't usually when i am alone in an hotel. The workers are also very nice.. i would highly recommend.

On the flipside, if you plan to check in late at night, be sure to call ahead to figure out parking access and how to get your room keys as the lobby is literally locked and shut down

The hotel also has a strange practice of powering off the elevator at night, so be ready to lug your luggage up the stairs if you check in at night

And yes, the breakfast is different. its more of a coffee shop breakfast in which you choose from a menu with a variety of choices. you want a Bouffe? go someplace else. I stayed there and it was excellent

Room is modern and nice and perfect for a single use. The location is awesome, just an alley in the heart of the city. went out directly to the christmas fare. Breakfast was good to start the morning with a good note

Stop bitching, will ya!? This hotel is excellent. you do your homework and you won't have problems. Yes, the hotel doesn't have an elevator. you should have checked in advanced. They won't build one just for you

Location was perfect! We were steps away from a Christmas market, food, shopping, and a two minute walk to the Rhine

The street where the hotel is located doesn’t have much activity, but within just a 10-minute walk, you can reach the Ehrenfeld area, which is very lively, with multicultural restaurants and bars

This hotel is located in a nice place and run by an amazing landlady herself. You won’t feel like living in a hotel but at home. Foods are fresh and the owner lady makes the breakfast herself and it’s worth it.

The proprietor running the place is a lovely woman. The place was clean well stocked with what you need when traveling and comfortable. I would certainly reccomend to anybody I know coming through Cologne.

The host is very friendly and welcoming, there's a free parking right at the entrance, the breakfast was generous and there's a bus station for transportation towards the Old Town right across the street.

The owner was very accomodating and has a great philosophy, let me check into my room as soon as it was ready around 10am, gave a great overview of the area and then cooked me a personalized breakfast

I booked a room on a business trip. Overall it was good, clean and hygienic. The King's Road was not far away and there was free parking nearby.
