Paralos The Maxine - Adults Only in Agia Galini

We had the most wonderful stay at Paralos The Maxine in Agia Galini — a true hidden gem on the southern coast of Crete.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before. The staff were absolutely amazing — always smiling, genuinely kind, and ready to help with anything we needed. You could truly feel they care about their guests.

The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and located in a peaceful, scenic area surrounded by nature, just a short walk from the beach. The atmosphere is so relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. The pool is stunning — a dreamy spot to spend lazy afternoons soaking up the sun. The food was delicious, with fresh and varied options that we looked forward to every day. Having a car is definitely useful if you’d like to explore the area a bit more, but if you’re looking to relax and enjoy beautiful views in a tranquil setting, this is the place.

We can’t recommend this hotel enough. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we’re already dreaming of coming back. ✨

Cozy peacful atmosphere, friendly and easy going personal, very clean and renovated rooms. Pool, garden and workout space give the best ambiance for enjoying vacation! We can fully recommend this hotel!

Very quiet and very clean hotel. Pleasant and well located. Our superior room was very spacious with a lovely terrace and beautiful view. Downside: mattress a little too soft for me. Very strange sink in the entrance. Shower room with toilet without sink. Good breakfast. Courteous staff.

Very good hotel in Agia galini, definitely worth recommending for a stay in Crete. Hotel is located on a hill with beautiful view from main building where breakfast is served and can order food for lunch and dinner or order some drinks. Rooms are clean and spacious. There is plenty of parking around to leave your vehicle. Pool with a pool bar is clean and well maintained. Beach is close - couple minutes walk from the hotel - where you can find many restaurants. Dog mentioned in earlier reviews is not bothering and it is kept on a leash most of the time. Only thing - you should add another coffeemaker for breakfast - one is definitely not enough and there is always a big queue for it.

We had a beautiful renovated room with a sea view. Excellent box spring, large walk-in shower and sufficient closet space. The entire hotel has a beautiful design in terms of interior, everything is coordinated. In the morning a good breakfast buffet is served with a large choice of fresh products. The hotel has a beautiful location, 1.5 km outside the village between the olive trees. Does mean that you have to be able to walk well, because the hotel is also a bit higher. Friendly and hard-working staff. Perhaps some tips: I think the coffee machine in the breakfast room needs to be replaced, after a few cups the machine went into a malfunction, this happened several times in an hour. We also missed coffee and tea facilities in our room, a cup of coffee is nice when you wake up. Also clean towels 4x per week would be desirable, we had clean towels on Friday and the next time was not until Monday. For the rest a great hotel that we would book again

Lovely hotel for a relaxing week. The staff is very friendly and happy to help. The room was very neat, cleaned every day and the beds were wonderful. The location is perfect, you can walk to the beach of Agia Galini where a promenade runs from the beach to the old town. Along the way you will find shops, supermarkets, restaurants and ATMs. Absolute recommendation for a relaxing week.

Very nice hotel with exceptional views of the sea and mountains from the rooms and restaurant. The entire hotel has just been renovated, so everything is modern and very clean. Spacious rooms, especially the "maisonette" suites, which have a large living room area with a large balcony terrace and a bedroom on a mezzanine opening onto the living room. Very large bed with very comfortable bedding, everything is new and of high quality. The paint is white, and the rooms are beautifully decorated, modern and understated. Very large glass shower overlooking the living room!! It's unusual, but you get used to it!!! Just like the sink area, which is actually in the hallway!!! Adults only, thankfully!!!
Very nice pool area with pool bar. It's very windy, but I would almost say thankfully, otherwise we wouldn't last given the heat.
Very good breakfast and dinner. A buffet of raw vegetables and soup, then the main course (which you choose in the morning, 3 choices) is served at your table.
Smiling and very friendly staff.
A car is essential because it's far from everything.

Lovely property with great sea views - quiet and comfortable. Easy to walk into town, to the beach or for a hike in the mountains.
