The food is first class and truly a great buffet - lots of homemade and homegrown food. The drinks are below average in price with a cocktail being around €11. A good bottle of wine around €20

This is one of the best places to locally - if not the best. A great welcome with local iced tea, homemade biscuits and a cool flannel

Also a free A La Carte dinner at Tomatini the on-site restaurant. Also a voucher is handed to you for a free lunch - this is any salad and two main courses for two people - anything you want

The views from the reception and bar are extraordinary, so beautiful to look over Galini harbour. Generously you are given a nice bottle of wine and snacks in the room

We were welcomed and shown to the restaurant where food had been prepared for us despite the fact that it was 11. The holiday just got better and better after that

Whilst here we were the ONLY English - which made for quiet socialising in the eve as everyone was German. Quiet a few kids , but they were generally well behaved

The accomodation was clean and comfortable the staff friendly and the food excellent

The lady owner said she would "knock something up for us" for our evening meal and produced an absolute feast! The breakfast was excellent too

The rooms are well equipped and are cleaned from top to bottom every day (even the dishes!). Thanks to the very helpful owners we had an exquisite diner on arrival after a very long travel day full of delays

Lenikos is a great place to stay! Everything you need for a quiet break away. Close to Agia Gallia village, 45 minute walk (downhill so very steep on your way back!) or 5 minutes by car

There are 3 fantastic pools which were quiet when I visited so I had the pool to myself. The views from the apartment was breathtaking and the breakfast each morning is fantastic

As a cat lover, I appreciated the colony of cats lurking about who were incredibly friendly and completely gorgeous! The views from the resort were amazing - azure blue sea and stunning mountains

Irene is so lovely and helpful plus an excellent cook. Breakfasts really good. Rooms cleaned thoroughly daily and linen changed regularly.

This is a very good family-run 2-star hotel. Cleaning is done every day, and once in three days, the towels and bed sheets are changed. The hotel is close to everything - tavernas, supermarkets, beaches and sos on

A wonderfull breakfast in the morning with a tabel full with anything you need. And as a gast you get also 10% discount in the shop at the basefloor. We thank Mihalis, Yannis, Gianna and Marina for there hospatallity

It's a 5-minute walk away from the town one way, and the beach the other way. Far enough to be completely quiet at night, and close enough to get there within walking distance. I can highly recommend this hotel

We booked a sea-view room and the view over the Libyan Sea was amazing. Clients who stay at the hotel have a 10% discount at the supermarket placed at the first level. AC and breakfast are paid separately

Very nice sea view during a really tasty breakfast. The little villas with little pools spotted in the hills near Hagia Gallini are really nice and the people are super friendly. I really loved to stay there.

Breakfast is simple but enjoyable, with tables outside in the garden area. We did not tested dinner; the buffet was small. Matala beach is close, well equipped, not too crowed at beginning of the season (end May)

The current situation of hungry, unsterilized cats leads to overpopulation and suffering. This is causing distress both to the animals and to guests

As already identified multiple time in previous evaluation, there are many stray cats in/ around the hotel, most clearly in need for food and care

The hotel management should organise sterilization and sufficient feeding stations. They are quiet and nice cats; many are/could be domestic ones

Stray cats are everywhere in Creta; I did only see worst in Cyprus with mistreatment and dying cats. Greece is worse than Africa on this topic

I really liked it, we had a front sea view room and it was good. Has a pool but I didn't go in as the beach is right next to it. Location is superb, watch sunset on beach come back get changed so easy

The overall experience is very good! The facilities are nice ( 4 swimming pools, a gym and common areas), the location is perfect, our room is literally 1minjte away from Matala beach

We were initially booked in at another hotel, but when we got there we were extremely disappointed. So we went looking for another hotel and came upon Fragiskos Hotel. The staff were friendly and understanding

First time I've stayed here, but I've been to Plakias many times. Stella has it's regulars and it's easy to see why. Basic accommodation but lovingly cared for. Would certainly think of using Stella again

For us Studio Stella is the place to stay in Plakias. Nice rooms including a kitchen and balcony. But mostly we feel there the welcoming warmth of the owners. This makes us keep coming back.

Small hotel in the center of Plakias with a nice pool and excellent breakfast! The staff is friendly, rooms are small but always clean. I would recommend this hotel for pairs, friends or single travellers.

Very good breakfast, quality beds, very friendly staff, nice little town - but windy. So rent a car is almost a must to have a pleasant holiday. From Plakias there is also a boat to some southern beaches.

One of the best places to stay in Plakias!a truly wonderful boutique hotel with maisonette rooms arranged around a beautifully designed central pool with a pool bar! The rooms are truly splendid, very clean and well designed! Comfortable stay at Cyano very nice and quiet stay in Plakias, not far from restaurants and the beach. Excellent breakfast en very gentile staff. We stayed here for the second time and would surely stay here again.

Insects are quite noisy, throughout day and night so take your ear plugs if you're sensive ;) As a couple we would have loved one big mattress instead of 2 single beds put together but that's bearable

We could hear the waves at night, which was very relaxing, and we could stare at the stars (half balcony was roofless, I guess for this reason)

We stayed at the Louise apartment. Everything was perfect and the unobstructed sea view from the large balcony was spectacular

Bed is very hard. Pool very good,but some put towels out in the morning and don't use the sun loungers until later in the day. This shouldn't be allowed. Good pool bar.rooms are good n big. Aircon is 6 Euro a day.

The hotel is nice and clean in general, a big pool with shallow water for kids and a pool bar. The rooms are ok with one noteble exception. Our room was sticking of cigarette smoke when we checked in

Just returned from a 10 day stay with my daughter at this lovely hotel. This was my daughter’s second visit. We had a lovely ground floor room that overlooked the pool. The room had everything we needed for our stay

The only thing I would slightly improve is the hair dryer in the bathroom – it heats up quickly and doesn’t work that well, but it’s just a small detail compared to how great everything else was

Supermarket across the street but do not picture real supermarket, it is just a small store. Good coffee is served from the vending machine during the whole day. Cold food in the fridge when we arrived at night

This is a hotel owned and run by a lovely family. Nothing is too much trouble to them. Perfect location right on the beach. It has a very nice swimming pool with sumbeds and parasols

Review for Hotel Kathrin Beach We stayed in the renovated part of the hotel and were very satisfied with our stay

We spent a few wonderful days at Kathrin Beach Hotel with my wife in May, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave! The service from the staff was beyond excellent – always polite, friendly, and eager to help with a genuine smile

Breakfast and dinner were generous and varied, with plenty of options each day. There’s also the possibility of early breakfast or a lunch package if you're heading out early in the morning

As for suggestions for improvement: – The towel change policy could really be improved — every three days feels too infrequent, especially in hot weather when guests are likely to shower more than once a day

Our room was slightly old-fashioned, but the furniture was comfortable and good quality and the room was kept spotlessly clean by Housekeeping

The hotel is lovely, yes it does get busy with families in school holidays but that can be said of many places, the staff are all fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for their guests

We love them all and in all of our travels we have never found anywhere quite so comfortable and that makes us feel like we are at home while we are away. We will see you all next year

We stayed 4th to 14th September 2025 and as always our stay was fantastic

I was a bit dissapointed to not find any Beach Bags and Slippers in the room, as these are pretty much standard in a 5* Hotel, so when I was asked for feedback on their App, I told them, and the next day Beach Bag and Slippers were delivered along with some extra toiletries

Another slight gripe was the mini-bar in the room was not always topped up and there was a charge for crisps and Nuts! Comfy bed and a great shower in the bathroom made for a comfortable stay, but do take a multi pot adapter, as there are not many sockets

But the best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are very kind, caring, attentive, and happy to solve any problem so you can enjoy your stay. So, we would definitely recommend this hotel, and will be back

The Adele Beach Hotel is ideally located with a 25 minutes bus (number 20) journey/ride away from the nearest historic town of Rethimno which literally has something to offer everyone but just remember to purchase bus tickets in advance from all local stores and shops at 2 euro per trip

The Adele Beach Hotel is centrally located near to the main high road with numerous bars, ATM's, supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and activity venues along with a pharmacy, hire car centres and a medical centre
