Excellent hotel in a quiet location but very close to the bars and restaurants in almyrida. The view is fantastic as it's at the top of a small hill. From around the main pool and the private pools , it's a very serene and chilled atmosphere. Worth mentioning also that in July the pools were perfect temperature

Reception very helpful and the bar/ waiting staff are brilliant and friendly.

Breakfast top notch , lunch also brilliant and drink choice and quality great!

Only slight improvement to suggest would be some more storage (drawers would be ideal) in the rooms as they are huge rooms with limited space for clothes storage.

This was an amazing experience! Our wedding party mostly stayed in Chania, but we really wanted a pool so we rented a car and stayed here. Best choice ever. You can walk down to the beach from the hotel and the minute you walk into the room the sliders show you your own pool shared by the sweet next door and underneath that the main Infinity pool and lounges if you so choose to go down there. The pools are not heated very much because it is hot outside. This was September and we had the perfect weather!The restaurant is right next to the pool. You can eat indoors or outdoors. The service is incredible with free cappuccinos and gourmet breakfast every day! The free breakfast alone would be a $20 meal somewhere else and so worth it to me! And they're not stingy with the food and they serve it until 10:30. If you want a specialty drink they have them for a small extra charge just like Starbucks. The service is amazing from the cleaning crew to my barista. Someone is always around who speaks English so there were a lot of Germans there and Americans. People from all over come to swim in the Agean sea. If you go a little south you come to some small harbor towns, shopping and nightlife and if you go toward Chania they have incredible nightlife. Our friends also chartered a boat from Chania to a remote beach that you can only get there by a boat. We came for a wedding that was incredible and this will be a lasting, wonderful memory. I would come again in a heartbeat. PS. They serve donuts and chocolate donuts that taste like beignets on the beach and smoothies and cappuccinos everywhere on the local beaches.

After a disappointing experience at a nearby hotel, we were so relieved to find this wonderful place. It completely turned our trip around and gave us the peaceful break we were looking for.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. A big thank you to Penny and Marina, who made a real difference to our stay with their warm and thoughtful hospitality. They were kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout.

We stayed in Room 16, which we believe is the best room in the hotel. It had a private pool with a view over the infinity pool, which itself overlooked the sea — a truly beautiful and relaxing setting.

The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and designed with comfort in mind. We had some of the most relaxing days by the pool and enjoyed a few incredible massages that left us feeling completely recharged.

Overall, this is a peaceful and serene place that we would absolutely return to. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful setting with kind staff and a focus on guest comfort.

Fantastic hotel in the most amazing location! The private pool room was spacious and relaxing, service was outstanding (all ladies at the reception really but Penny was a gem! Gents at the restaurant very attentive, Housekeeping was discreet). The village strip is just around the corner and I did not expect such an excellent choice in dining. It was one of the best holiday stays I’ve ever had and would love to be back! Thanks to all staff for making our stay unforgettable!

We visited the Blue Elephant in Crete last month with our family, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The hotel exceeded all our expectations in every possible way.

The amenities were top-notch—everything from the pool area to the spa facilities was impeccably maintained and beautifully designed. The views were absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning panoramas of the Cretan coastline that made every sunrise and sunset feel magical.

What truly set this place apart, though, was the sense of luxury and comfort throughout. The rooms were elegant, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed with every detail taken care of. We felt pampered every step of the way.

Finally, the quality of service deserves special mention. Every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and eager to help. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome and well cared for.

This is an amazing hotel. Our hotel room was very spacious with a private pool overlooking the beautiful Creatian sea. The hotel is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very neatly located at a hill very close to restaurants and bars. The sea and the beach are literally just a stone throw away. The food in the hotel restaurant is great. The hotel is definitely not crowded as it has a certain capacity to host guests. It’s adults only, so no kids. Simply put: great choice. 5 stars.

I visit my cousin who is working there and we had dinner with my friend at the restaurant. The view of Almyrida beach and the village from the restaurant was very beautiful and peaceful. Also the menu and the plates were very tasteful and in another level. The service very professional.

Just returned from our stay in Blue Elephant and would like to give kudos to all of the staff who helped to make it so memorable. Our room was perfect and we had the most amazing views! The hotel is clean, room was always cleaned daily and the food in the restaurant was so tasty. There is plenty of parking if you choose to hire a car. The hotel is not too busy, with plenty of sun beds available. The bottles of water are replenished daily for the room, and the staff at the pool bar always made sure we could have water by the pool. The walk to Almyrida where there are restaurants by the sea front and shops is only a couple of minutes but is a very steep hill up and down. We loved our stay overall and hopefully will see you again

Simply amazing! We stayed there for 2 weeks last September and we enjoyed it very very much. They gave us a room upgrade so we had a private pool to ourselves and a beautiful view over the ocean. Also, our room was so nice, modern and huge.
It’s a beautiful hotel, so well maintained, super clean, great service, great food.
The breakfast is plentiful and full of choices, the breakfast room has such a nice view.
Dinner is also amazing, colorful and almost artsy. You can always also order lunch, drinks throughout the day.
The staff is always helpful and so nice! They always have a smile on their faces. We went to the gym every day: super clean and they have got all the necessary equipment for a nice gym session.
Pools are always clean, you can enjoy your cocktails by the pool or the private pool.
We loved the size of the hotel: not too many rooms, I guess around 28. Also, the area of the hotel itself is so big, that it never ever feels crowded or full.
The village is close (5 minute walk) and you have got everything there: Many nice restaurants right by the beach with all kind of food. The village is small and even though it is a touristy place it never feels too full.
One does need a car to get around. We simply booked online in advance (check24) and picked and dropped it off at Chania airport. We had the car for the entire 2 weeks and we went on many trips across the island every day: lots of hiking, sightseeing, biking, etc.
We simply loved everything about the hotel and the vacation. We will be back some day 😍
