Elounda, Main Street, Elounda, 72053 Ayos-Nikolaos, Gretsiya (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
My review is based on what we paid for a family of 4, all inclusive, it was definitely worth the special offer price, however it is not a 4* hotel (though we didn’t pay 4* prices). Accommodation: The views in the hotel are breathtaking, it’s truly beautiful. We opted for a one bed family room which was massive, beds are comfortable and bathroom is adequate. One issue was a lack of storage; as a family...
This is a lovely hotel in a peaceful location, our room was perfect, overlooking pool and sea view. Spacious room with comfortable beds. We went at the start of the season and it was peaceful, the entertainment was outstanding for the kids and our little one loved it. The food was great, the drinks and staff were wonderful. A couple of k’s walk down to the village but you could always grab a taxi...
Lovely hotel in a great location. Walking distance to Elounda, plenty of entertainment from reps that clearly love their jobs, and beautiful views. We had a shared private pool which was lovely. I have allergies and am always nervous trusting others to cater for me particularly with cross contamination. I was very worried about having a buffet style restaurant. When I arrived I was told to introduce...
We were a group of 8 and we were all very impressed with this hotel. Absolutely stunning views from our room and the main pool area and restaurant. The best views we have had from a hotel by far. The food was really good. Good choice everyday. Asian night was a highlight. The 2 a la carte restaurants for us were very impressive. Kids club was a big hit with our 5 and 8 year old. They always came...
Nice hotel , situated around 1 hours drive from the airport by private transfer , The room was clean and big enough for a family of 4, we had a issue with ants which was resolved when we reported it a second time , the food was ok typical European-all inclusive ,the drinks were poor but that didn’t matter to us , the pools were good and we spent most days at the activity one as it was better suited...
We have not long returned home from our 2 week stay at Elounda Breeze which was also our honey moon. I must say we do miss it so much already. We came last year a bit earlier on in may and it definitely was cooler, this time around was just perfect in June and I cannot express how much of an excellent time we had as a family. Where do I start? I need to mention the hotel itself, it’s beautiful and...

A Truly Amazing Stay – Like Paradise! We’ve just returned from an incredible stay at this hotel as a family of four from Scotland, and we’re already missing it! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the staff, who couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. Their kindness made a wonderful first impression and set the tone for the rest of our stay. The hotel...
absolutely phenomenal. if i could live in this hotel I would. the beach is stunning, staff is kind and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. the only downside is the beds are not very comfortable, but besides that everything is lovely.
This was our favorite place to stay on our two week trip around Greece. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. The room was amazing also and the bathroom was very nice.
We enjoyed sitting at the beach and enjoyed the restaurants at night and the breakfast was really good too!
We recently had our wedding at Elounda Porto/ Peninsula, and from start to finish, the whole experience was incredible. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable — nothing was ever too much to ask, and the staff were always so accommodating not only to us but also to our wedding guests. Working in the catering industry myself, I had high expectations, but what we received here was truly...
We had a relaxing stay at Port Elounda Resort, a luxuary hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A special thanks to Anthi at reception, who was incredibly kind, always ready to help with any issue, and did so with a genuine smile. Her assistance made our experience even more enjoyable.
The first day we arrived, we went to the restaurant for lunch. The service was terrible. We waited for over an hour to get our food.
Also, I booked two of the same rooms. One room and balcony were much bigger than the other. When I said something to the front desk about it, they just said both rooms were of the same "quality/rank", but that is totally not true.
The breakfast could have been...

We booked again for the Elounda Bay Palace, staying for 7 nights in June and looking forward to our 7th visit. We were given a lovely reception upon arrival as always, quick check in progress and were shown to our room. We had a side sea view which was different, but a good view towards the sea. Very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Very close to the restaurant, which was convenient...
Excellent! The hotel is fabulous; staff amazing especially Anna Maria, she is the best , tries so hard to make your holiday the best, we love coming here. Breakfast lovely, fantastic view looking over the sea, so relaxing ! Beach lovely, loads of Fish swimming around your feet! Always lots of sunbeds . Town loads of fabulous restaurants looking over the sea, only 10 mins walk from hotel . Will...
We are very happy here. We have been coming already 40 times. People are very friendly and it is just as coming home. We already booked our holidays for 2026
Friendly, helpful staff, very clean, good breakfast and dinner buffet and comfortable beds. Concierge very helpful. Lovely welcome.
On the plus side having booked a classic sea view room we were upgraded to a deluxe room which was sea facing but not with a good view. Lovely room and balcony with table chairs, and sofas. The service staff were amazing - all credit to our housekeeper Joanna, restaurant staff Evangeline and Maria. And the brilliant pianist Christina. However … the Jet2 description of the amenities are misleading...
Elounda Bay Palace & Hotel Review When you choose a five-star hotel, particularly one that promotes itself as luxurious, expectations are naturally very high. Small details you might happily overlook in a four-star property become far more noticeable when you are paying and expecting a five-star experience. Great little place, hills and steps to contend with,so bear this in mind if booking, but they do have a golf buggy and are more than happy to assist you up and down driveway as long as you communicate with them, nice breeze around pool which is much needed with the heat, food was amazing,no complaints.
The best hotel we have stayed at.
The staff were friendly and courteous, especially Albert, who seemed to be doing a range of roles from helping with baggage on arrival to waiting on food ect, a really helpful member of the team.
He also had some great card tricks and helped us out with knowledge of the local area and recommended some places to visit.
Gregory the bartender was another notable member...
The hotel was lovely, with an incredible view. However, we paid for a double, and we got a twin. The rooms could do with a bit of an update. The material was broken on the chairs, and the mesh blind. The bedding is old and had dirty patches.
Also, I wouldn't advise staying here if you struggle with walking as it's on a very steep hill, that you have to walk up with your luggage. You can get taxis to...
Had a great time here, all the staff (especially the manager who works really hard yet was always upbeat, friendly and helpful) were fantastic and the food was enjoyable. The food was lovely, I found it all to be very tasty and got to try lots of new dishes.
I haven't felt that relaxed in a long time. Thank you for a great two week stay!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Greek food in buffet was rather good, the pasta and pizza a bit less impressive. House wines not really great, but good choice of other drinks, both with and without alcohol. A bit too few sun loungers. A bit out of town, something like 30 minutes walk. Absolutely amazing views from pool and dining areas.
Absolutely loved everything about this beautiful hotel. Our room had the most amazing view and was clean and a good size. The bed was a little hard but as soon as we mentioned this to reception, a mattress topper was added to.the bed which made a huge difference.
The staff were all wonderful - all reception staff couldn't do enough to help you, Albert was great collecting and taking our luggage, restaurant...

Possibly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The facilities and the grounds are exquisite and the staff are above and beyond. The restaurant serves some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten.
The understated elegance that fully takes at advantage of the natural views that come with this location is truly stunning. We truly appreciated the food and the service I this amazing spot. Each experience met every expectation Our room may have been the nicest room we had stayed in as the combination of view and quality of room
This was our first time to this part of Crete and therefore Phaea Blue and we were not disappointed. We were greeted at the door and led into the lobby area where we were checked in and given a complimentary drink before being taken to our room by buggy. We absolutely loved our room (723) from which we could see the island of Spinalonga. The room included a huge bathroom, walk in closet and a good...
It was our second visit this year, and once again we enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful holiday. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel staff recognized us and made us feel as if we were returning to our second home. The restaurants were excellent, very good quality, offering delicious breakfasts with a small buffet and à la carte options , you must try the poached eggs with avocado and...
Misleading Marketing
Negatives
Marketing and website over sells. It is misleading.
It is not a boutique hotel. It has the feel of a large hotel, which after a bit of research was the case. It rebranded and remarketed in 2024.
Some parts of the complex feel a bit dated. The rooms have all the amenities but the decor is very early 2000’s and needs a refresh to justify the prices. The pool and surroundings...
Although we had a lovely holiday, Phaea blue was not what we expected when we booked a ‘boutique hotel’. It has the feel of a 200 room hotel and upon further research this was the case up until about 12 months ago when it went through a rebrand. The style of the website and awards for small hotel etc in our opinion are very misleading. In general there are many things on site that feel a bit dated...

My friends and I stayed here for a week at the very end of the season and had the most fantastic time. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff were super friendly and great fun too. This hotel is right in the heart of it all, a wonderful...
We have just returned from a 5 night stay at this beautiful hotel we booked here as attending a family wedding nearby , staff couldn’t do enough for you . Couldn’t fault anything about this hotel . Thank you for making our stay a memorable one .
We had a jet 2 week holiday at this lovely hotel. It really is a great find. We had a superior grove room, which was well equipped and spacious but lacking in a view. I think the main building has the better views, but much smaller rooms. As ever it’s a balance. The new sky deck bar and pool is a great addition, the views are incredible. We had B&B which suited us, as there are many restaurants within...
My wife and I enjoyed a lovely week here. Our room was more than adequate for us. Small balcony with a glimpse of Elounda and the sea. The staff are really nice people and can’t do enough for you. Breakfast was ok with all the usual suspects but lacked fresh fruit other than melon. They were mainly canned. Freshly squeezed orange juice was very good. It is well placed to walk along the promenade into...
The hotel was in a great location, right on the (shingle) beach. Our room was a decent size, however the bathroom was tiny with no fan or window therefore there was always a damp and musty smell in it. Also there was no shower curtain so the water went over the sink area every time it was used. As others have mentioned, there weren't enough beds around the pool or on the beach, however this wasn't...
I have visiting this hotel for many years and have been very happy, the staff are very nice and friendly ( especially Poppy in the Sky Bar) . The main problem over the last few years has been the pool area and the sun bed reservations. This year was particularly bad, there are signs regarding this issue saying if beds had towels on them they would be removed if no one appeared after 30 minutes. There...

I recently stayed at the sister property, Domes Aulus Zante, and I have to say that the staff, location, and service exceeded all expectations here too. Definately you should visit.
We had an amazing time at the beach bar, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was Lambis. His name in Greek means “full of light,” and honestly, it couldn’t be more fitting—he absolutely shines. Without a shadow of a doubt, Lambis deserves the award for the happiest person you’ll ever meet. His smile is constant, genuine, and comes straight from the heart. His positive attitude is contagious...
I do not generally leave reviews but feel that I have to for this hotel. It is an amazing place, and the main reason for this are the staff. They are truly outstanding. Firstly Maria, the very pretty concierge, who was friendly, informative and was happy to have a chat about anything. Very helpful and good fun who obviously cared about her guests stay. Secondly, Elena, receptionist, who again was happy...
The Kids Club at Domes of Elounda was absolutely wonderful during our stay! Eleni and her team did a fantastic job with our 2.5-year-old toddler. Every day he came back from the club excited to show us all the activities and crafts they had made. One day they even went out to pick herbs and flowers, which he absolutely loved and talked about for hours afterwards. The activities were thoughtful, creative...
I had the pleasure of celebrating my sixtieth birthday with my multigenerational family, ranging from ages 2 to 74, at Domes of Elounda. We were a little bit nervous about our first holiday with a ten month old, but Domes of Elounda was absolutely perfect for it. There were a couple of factors that really drove this: - What set it apart was the staff - they were so consistently good with us and our little one and this really made our trip. I’d like to specifically called out Demetria in the Tholos Buffet and Kelly at Guest Services...

This is a beautiful resort run by a fanatic, friendly team of people. It really is stunning. The locations also brilliant. A gentle 5 minute walk down the hill to Plaka Beach. Full of lovely little places to eat and drink. Would really love to return but there were a couple of things that put us off, and I don’t think there’s much that can be done to resolve sadly. Firstly it is very windy on this...
Location in is amazing set in the hills so the views are incredible, we booked a room with pool, but point to note £60euros per day to heat it, which was a bit disappointing, however the room was large and very comfortable, the bedroom is separated by a partition so there is a lot of lights at night from security lights. The staff are wonderful nothing to much trouble, we stayed half board this...
Cayo was just perfect. The staff so friendly and welcoming and not intrusive. Our room was amazing and watching sunrise was incredible. I had the BEST head, neck, shoulder and back massage with Eleni, she has magical fingers!!! Thank you ☺️
Well, what can I say about this beautiful hotel. It's my 2nd time to visit this year, first time with my husband and kids and second time with my mum and we were welcomed back like family. This is a stunning destination with incredible views. The overall design of the hotel is beautifully done – classy, modern furnishings and attention to detail throughout, from bedrooms to poolside bars, restaurants, gym and yoga suite. I have just returned from a 7 day stay in the Krini hotel. This is a small family run hotel. The rooms are modestly appointed yet well-maintained, featuring a pleasant outdoor area suitable for enjoying refreshments or light snacks. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I booked half-board , which I would not recommend. The food is basic, but as I later discovered...
3 stars for the friendly staff and the breakfast which is the only meal we had at the hotel. Got to agree with most people. The room/ hotel is tired and dated. It really is in need of a refurbishment. You managed with our week, Always ask yourself would you go back and the answer would be a NO.
The hotel staff were great the room really clean. Unfortunately we were in rooms near the reception area next to the cleaning supply cupboard. The cleaning ladies woke us every morning at 7am getting supplies out. The bed in one room was really good the other room they were rather hard and you could feel the springs. The Air conditioning was very noisy but works well. Had our rooms been located somewhere...
Perfect getaway. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and there were plenty of loungers for all. A few minutes walk into Elounda the location was great Rooms had a mini fridge and the beds were comfortable. Would / will be back.
Superb views, great standards of cleanliness, rooms absolutely everything you'd expect or more for a hotel in this range. Ideally located both for Elounda itself and the peninsula where you have some wonderful wilder beaches. Didn't eat in the hotel much but had breakfast once and dinner once, both of which were excellent value. No hidden charges. This is our second time in Elounda and our first stay...
A very tired hotel. We were in a family room which was bigger than a double room, which was good. Room could have done with being decorated. The hotel is in a great location to the town and the staff were very friendly.
I would not recommend the standard room as it was extremely small and felt claustrophobic, we did try to upgrade the day we got there but they were unfortunately fully booked, as a couple with two suitcases there was no room whatsoever and very limited hanging space so had to leave the suitcases open on the floor and climb...

10/10 experience! I’m hesitant to leave this review because I don’t want to ruin it with too many people but hands down best hotel in Elounda. Everything from food, drinks, staff, stay, VIEWS, pool and finally distance to everything. This is one of the very first 5-star hotels built in the area, and the clear foresight of its creator must be acknowledged. What a beautiful hotel in a perfect location! We had a Junior Suite which was really well equipped. We loved making breakfast there that we could eat on the large balcony. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the service is 5 star. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stay here.
The very kind and helpful owner came late to check in our family after a day trip resulted in us looking for a room after most hotels had closed for the evening. The room was amazing and our 3 kids slept very comfortably. The real gem was the breathtakingly stunning view when we awoke the next morning.
A lovely hotel with all the amenities needed for comfort whilst on holidays. Completely tastefully renovated throughout. Large rooms, comfortable bed, bathroom/ kitchen superb. A fabulous view across the bay this hotel did not disappoint. Great accommodation and we upgraded to the room with a private pool, well worth it. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Food had plenty of choice and worked well for both adults and children. October was a perfect time...
I booked this place for the view. When I got there my room had no view. They apologised and upgraded me to a duplex with 2 balconies and 2 amazing views.

Our family holiday at Elounda Peninsula Luxury Resort was honestly a dream from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, my husband, our two girls, and I felt completely looked after. The staff are amazing—so warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to help with anything. They really made us feel at home. The food was fantastic every single day. Lots of variety, always fresh, and so delicious. We...
Excellent suite (a beachfront junior suite with private pool). It was spacious and well-furnished, with a sitting are inside and table and chairs and loungers outside. Roomy walk-in wardrobe with plenty of drawers and coathangers (proper hangers with hooks) too. Nice bathroom. The hotel in general is quite nice though a bit bland. Lovely sandy beach with a grassy shore and plenty of well-maintained...
We had an amazing stay at the Elounda Peninsula. From the moment you arrive and are handed a glass of champagne while you sit on a sofa to check in, thank you Natalie, it is clear this is a luxury resort. The reception and cleaning staff were exceptional. The suites are very impressive with stunning views, beautiful closets, comfortable beds, luxurious bathrooms and products and huge rainfall showers...
We stayed at Elounda Peninsula in October as a family of three in room 3159, which had a private pool and split level. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised because the room was much better in person than in the photos on the hotel’s website. The photos were quite limited, so we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but the space and layout were far beyond what we imagined.
We arrived late,...
We can't begin to say how nice of stay we had at Elounda Peninsula. Everything from the welcoming when we first arrived, to our great room, the service, cleanliness, and just overall friendliness of the staff. Maria our housekeeping service was excellent, and provided everything we needed from special pillows, to extra blanket, and bath accessories. The front desk staff (and I did not catch everyone...

Absolutely incredible hotel Friendly, helpful staff Comfortable and clean rooms with excellent showers Amazing view over the sea, especially at sunrise Great food and drink Good location near to Elounda Would highly recommend
Spent two glorious weeks here in October 2025. The hotel is spread across the hillside with inter-connecting walkways. There’s golf buggies that can be summoned via the phone to pick you up and take you to other areas. The staff are all super friendly, and do all they can to make your stay memorable. We stayed half board in a room with a private pool and terrace. I loved the interaction with staff...
I had to write a review for this amazing hotel! I had 5 days here with my grown up daughter. Everything was amazing! If you can, book the pool rooms…what a treat! The gym was well kitted out and not too busy. Breakfast was what you’d expect in an amazing hotel. The staff were all very attentive and looked after our every need and more. We loved walking to plaka and elounda. There are some amazing...
We recently stayed at this hotel as part of a family holiday, in which we shared many of the same observations as others, but our main call out is that our overall impression was hindered, and this very much came down to the moment we checked out. Positives: The views are truly exceptional — among the best we’ve experienced anywhere. Every angle offers a photo-worthy moment, and the hotel’s design...
As soon as we stepped into the hotel, we were swept away by its sophisticated charm. The place feels like a perfect blend of classic luxury and personal touches that make you feel instantly at home. The Versace-inspired interiors are jaw-dropping—every corner is a work of art, from the intricate details to the elegant finishes. And the location? Absolutely unreal. It’s right on Mirabello Bay, first...
Spent a lovely week at the hotel for my birthday. We had a great room with a private pool which was wonderful - the only downside was it was just above the main hotel restaurant which meant there was often cooking smells wafting sound when you were in the pool (mornings). Room was super clean. The staff we so helpful nothing was too much trouble, pretty much every answer started with yes, of course...

Great room with lots of amenities
The room was great, lots of space for our luggage and our toddler to run around. The private pool is the perfect size and the water was very clean. They cleaned our room daily. Staff are friendly and happy to help. I would definitely go back.
Very lovely property and a relaxing stay. The hotel was bright, clean, comfortable and extremely stylish. We particularly loved lounging by the salt water pool. The hotel had lovely dining options on property.
Such a beautiful hotel. Newly refurbished rooms with a peaceful pool/ bar area. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. You are treated like a friend. Shops and waterfront restaurants are within an easy 15 minute walk of the hotel, which is perfect.

Booked a 2 week self catering holiday at the end of the season with TUI on a late deal. We really enjoyed our time there and everything about the place is superb. Great size apartment and cooking facilities if required. Superb views across the bay. Yes they are up a slight hill but surely anybody can walk this and it is this aspect that gives the views. Anna and husband are lovely and really helpful...
Just got back from a lovely weeks holiday in Elounda. Tasmania village was the perfect place to stay with amazing views and a great location. Great room with everything you need for a relaxing break. Great...

Had a great room with amazing views, great atmosphere room very clean and comfortable, very quiet service amazing always friendly and kind, the amenities were basic but enough for us, the pool was big enough for a swim and the eating area and bar was good. WE loved the whole holiday, the cost for food was cheaper than the rest rest of Greece the town was so friendly and with great restaurant's and...
We have been going to Tasmania village for the last 28/30 years and love Maria Anna and there families who always make customers very welcome this year we had a nasty lady who complained about everything and was very loud with her complaints which I’m sorry to say were unfounded and if she was unhappy with her 4 day stay Anna would have been more than accommodating to resolve anything I met...
We recently stayed at Tazmania Village in Crete and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by the lovely family who run it. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavours and freshly prepared with care and a great bar full of cocktails, beers and soft drinks. The rooms were large, spacious, and had all the...

Good accommodation with all the facilities for self-catering. Our apartment was clean and towels were changed every day. Good aircon, which was easy to operate. The staff are great, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with freshly cooked options available to order. The only negative was the pool. They advertise a heated swimming pool, which was the reason we booked the resort. ...
The hotel is wonderful. The atmosphere is intimate. The staff is professional and very helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. I recommend it to everyone.
We loved everything about the property. It was personal, friendly and welcoming. The staff were wonderful and always up for a chat. The atmosphere just felt relaxed and friendly from start to finish. We highly recommend it.
Perfectly located – peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk to the center of Elounda. The hotel is small and charming, with a great pool, excellent food, and a very relaxing atmosphere. A real gem and absolutely worth staying at.
