Tasmania Village in Elounda

Booked a 2 week self catering holiday at the end of the season with TUI on a late deal. We really enjoyed our time there and everything about the place is superb. Great size apartment and cooking facilities if required. Superb views across the bay. Yes they are up a slight hill but surely anybody can walk this and it is this aspect that gives the views. Anna and husband are lovely and really helpful when the power went off, not their fault. Much preferred to all the 5 star resorts surrounding this place........with their 5 star prices!!

Just got back from a lovely weeks holiday in Elounda. Tasmania village was the perfect place to stay with amazing views and a great location. Absolutely loved walking into Plaka and Elounda and exploring the surrounding area. A family run business who go out of their way to make you feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble for Anna. Great room with everything you need for a relaxing break. Great value for money. Will definitely be coming back to stay.

Great stay at Tasmania, room was fantastic with fab views, staff very helpful and it was a lovely 20 minutes walk into Elounda, Would highly recommend.

Had a great room with amazing views, great atmosphere room very clean and comfortable, very quiet service amazing always friendly and kind, the amenities were basic but enough for us, the pool was big enough for a swim and the eating area and bar was good. WE loved the whole holiday, the cost for food was cheaper than the rest rest of Greece the town was so friendly and with great restaurant's and bars, we had two boat trips one with Poppys Boat which was fabulous, the hotel gave us a great time and we met some amazing people our experience was great everyday. This resort is a hidden gem and staying in such a nice hotel gave it 100%

We have been going to Tasmania village for the last 28/30 years and love Maria Anna and there families who always make customers very welcome this year we had a nasty lady who complained about everything and was very loud with her complaints which I’m sorry to say were unfounded and if she was unhappy with her 4 day stay Anna would have been more than accommodating to resolve anything I met the lady the first morning she arrived and she was rude to me so a lady I think who will complain any where not matter how good it is Tasmania Village is a lovely relaxing self catering holiday resort with the most amazing view and owners

We recently stayed at Tazmania Village in Crete and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by the lovely family who run it. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavours and freshly prepared with care and a great bar full of cocktails, beers and soft drinks. The rooms were large, spacious, and had all the basics we needed. The views from the balcony were simply amazing, making it the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Elounda. What made this stay so special was the atmosphere – we arrived as strangers but left as friends. The kindness, friendliness, and care shown by Anna and Yannis made us feel part of something much more than just a holiday. Plus to be able to play backgammon was also a great experience, although I'm sure the dice were weighted as I lost. If you’re looking for a place with great food, stunning views, and the kind of hospitality that stays with you long after you’ve left, Tazmania Village is the perfect choice. Highly recommended! 5 stars!

Beautiful scenery & views. Lovely studio rooms & apartments. Anna is a fantastic host who cannot do enough to make guests feel welcome. Good poolside food & bar. Only downside is closeness to amenities and of course the slope leading to the apartments which does get easier towards the end of the stay! There is no immediate beach and taxis are always available

As this was our 5th time coming here, i think that says it all! If you want a quiet totally relaxing holiday with beautiful views with a great family that looks after you and does anything to make your holiday better, then book here. If you want 5 star hotels with 5 star HOTEL service, then go elsewhere. This is family run and does not have 24 hour reception. It doesn't need that and would ruin the experience. Reading other reviews, yes the hill is very steep but this is why you have the fantastic view. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We arrived at 1am, went straight to our balcony with a bottle of wine Maria had left in the fridge as we requested. Absolute heaven. Many thanks to Maria, George, Yannis and Bo for making our holiday perect again. See you next year.

On arrival at 1am which was only slightly later than expected, there was nobody to meet us. We had to wonder around looking for our room. We had no access to air conditioning so therefore had a sleepless night. This was a poor start to the holiday. The hotel is usual Greek standard, nice towels and a spectacular view. The owner has an entourage of returning guests who she holds counsel with all day in the bar. It felt like a them and us situation, her son is extremely nice and made up for the odd situation there. Elounda is fabulous and I will return but not to this establishment.
