My review is based on what we paid for a family of 4, all inclusive, it was definitely worth the special offer price, however it is not a 4* hotel (though we didn’t pay 4* prices)

This is a lovely hotel in a peaceful location, our room was perfect, overlooking pool and sea view. Spacious room with comfortable beds

We went at the start of the season and it was peaceful, the entertainment was outstanding for the kids and our little one loved it. The food was great, the drinks and staff were wonderful

The outdoor seating is good if you can get a seat but again lacks atmosphere. I’m not a fan of loud music but it would really benefit from some kind of holiday music, a live band and some lighting

It is very hilly so be prepared to walk but there are the gentlemen staff that can give you a lift in one of the carts (which my little girl enjoyed very much- especially sitting backwards)! A Truly Amazing Stay – Like Paradise! We’ve just returned from an incredible stay at this hotel as a family of four from Scotland, and we’re already missing it! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the staff, who couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming

Their kindness made a wonderful first impression and set the tone for the rest of our stay. The hotel itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, with stunning views that made it feel like a slice of paradise

We booked again for the Elounda Bay Palace, staying for 7 nights in June and looking forward to our 7th visit. We were given a lovely reception upon arrival as always, quick check in progress and were shown to our room

On the plus side having booked a classic sea view room we were upgraded to a deluxe room which was sea facing but not with a good view. Lovely room and balcony with table chairs, and sofas

Breakfast and dinner was excellent with a variety every night, and always hot and well prepared. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and it makes our stay so much more enjoyable

We have always found the Elounda Bay Palace to be one of the best hotels in Elounda, and even though we have been to another in the early days of visiting Crete, we always came back to the Elounda Bay Palace, as we found everything as we wanted, such an nice atmosphere, relaxing place to unwind and forget about your stressful work life

Breakfast lovely, fantastic view looking over the sea, so relaxing ! Beach lovely, loads of Fish swimming around your feet! Always lots of sunbeds

Also in the bathroom there is no curtain, after showering the whole floor wet. From hotel to sea beach is a narrow lane where a mess

Great little place,hills and steps to contend with,so bear this in mind if booking,but they do have a golf buggy and are more than happy to assist you up and down driveway as long as you communicate with them,nice breeze around pool which is much needed with the heat,food was amazing,no complaints

Gregory the bartender was another notable member of staff, as well as the manager, who was always on hand to help. Overall the staff really make this place feel special. The views from this place were incredible

A great sunrise in the morning and beautiful views of the mountains across Mirabello Bay. The food tasted amazing, handmade and fresh. The chef at this hotel makes a wide range of delicious meals

The staff were friendly and courteous, especially Albert, who seemed to be doing a range of roles from helping with baggage on arrival to waiting on food ect, a really helpful member of the team

It operates 3 times weekly, and it is not only delicious but also a good opportunity to meet and mingle with one's fellow guests, as the seating is at a long wooden table, and with the chefs

Possibly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The facilities and the grounds are exquisite and the staff are above and beyond. The restaurant serves some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten.

Misleading Marketing Negatives Marketing and website over sells. It has the feel of a large hotel, which after a bit of research was the case. It rebranded and remarketed in 2024

The understated elegance that fully takes at advantage of the natural views that come with this location is truly stunning. We truly appreciated the food and the service I this amazing spot

) and Elounda about a 40 minute walk - fine during the day, but probably not to be recommended in the dark as pavement missing in places. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Phaea Blue again if we returned to the area

My friends and I stayed here for a week at the very end of the season and had the most fantastic time. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff were super friendly and great fun too

We had a jet 2 week holiday at this lovely hotel. We had a superior grove room, which was well equipped and spacious but lacking in a view. I think the main building has the better views, but much smaller rooms

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at this beautiful hotel we booked here as attending a family wedding nearby , staff couldn’t do enough for you. Couldn’t fault anything about this hotel

The breakfasts are served in the ground floor restaurant and overlooking the bay. Everyone was very welcoming, we feel that we had found a little gem of a hotel and will be back

The new sky deck bar and pool is a great addition, the views are incredible. We had B&B which suited us, as there are many restaurants within a 5 min walk

We had an amazing time at the beach bar, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was Lambis. His name in Greek means “full of light,” and honestly, it couldn’t be more fitting—he absolutely shines

Well, what can I say about this beautiful hotel. It's my 2nd time to visit this year, first time with my husband and kids and second time with my mum and we were welcomed back like family

The staff are wonderful nothing to much trouble, we stayed half board this is buffet style but top quality food, no completes at all

There is a free shuttle service to a private section of the beach which is pebble but it us decked and really comfy bed and full bar service

Firstly it is very windy on this part of the coast, and sadly as a shade lover, this made it difficult as the shades by the pool are very heavy and not able to move, and by your own private pool, there’s no moveable shade - and the shade screens they have beautifully built do not give full shade

Location in is amazing set in the hills so the views are incredible, we booked a room with pool, but point to note £60euros per day to heat it, which was a bit disappointing, however the room was large and very comfortable, the bedroom is separated by a partition so there is a lot of lights at night from security lights

However, my room seemed to be on a kind of service corridor: there was certainly a lot of activity up and down the corridor from quite

I have just returned from a 7 day stay in the Krini hotel. This is a small family run hotel

The rooms are modestly appointed yet well-maintained, featuring a pleasant outdoor area suitable for enjoying refreshments or light snacks. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your needs

I think it's unfair to compare the Krini with some of the big resort hotels further out. The Krini is not in the luxury bracket, but it’s in a great location, very safe and only a short walk into Elounda

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful base from which to explore, the surrounding area, that is simple friendly and will not break the budget, I can recommend the Krini to you

The food is basic, but as I later discovered at 10 Euros for breakfast and 12 euros for a three course evening meal, with an alcoholic drink included, it is pretty good value

We have had a lovely 10 days at the Elounda Orama - all the staff are so helpful and welcoming - our room was lovely and spacious and the bed and pillows were excellent which is always a bonus - we had a large balcony with added sunloungers which were a real treat and a lovely view of the sea and Spinalonga in the distance - the dining area had stunning views of Elounda Bay which were a delight when...

I would not recommend the standard room as it was extremely small and felt claustrophobic, we did try to upgrade the day we got there but they were unfortunately fully booked, as a couple with two suitcases there was no room whatsoever and very limited hanging space so had to leave the suitcases open on the floor and climb over them to get around

I think the hotel would benefit from an overall refresh, painting etc and the pool to be cleaned more often, although the water was clear there was green mould build up around the sides as well as the white pool loungers

We were also only given two towels which are only changed once every three days, it would have been nice to get a hand towel so you aren't using the one towel for everything

This is also the case for pool towels they are only changed once every three days

The air con had mould growing out of it and left the room smelling awful

awesome marvelous hotel! amazing views from early morning to sunset, beautiful seaside sitting area. excellent maintenance of the room, if you can, choose the rooms with the private pool (villa)

My sister and I traveled to Crete for an annual birthday trip. Neither of us had been to Greece before and Elounda Mare and Crete did not disappoint. I cannot say enough positive things about the resort

Our rooms were cleaned multiple times daily, including an evening turn down service. Our pool was spotless and the water was pleasantly refreshing. The pictures of this resort and the rooms truly do not do it justice

Everything was a gorgeous marble, floors and walls alike. The closets were so elaborate and beautifully appointed my sister took pictures of how they were laid out as she was getting ready to do a remodel of hers

The beach is quite small and the shade of the umbrellas may be insufficient at times, but there is an area under the olive trees that I particularly loved. A few spots on the cliffs are simply spectacular

The location was amazing! It was an easy walk to the main pool (which we only used once since we had our own pool), the bar, breakfast restaurant and lobby area. My bathroom was 200+ square feet

I have reviewed Elounda Heights before but felt it worthy of another. It is a very special place with a unique atmosphere run by a small but tight team of 10 people who are all super friendly

The location is really good because it is on a quite mountain with an amazing view but also very close to the village if you want to find a good taverna. But you can also enjoy fresh dinner at the hotel

From the incredibly warm welcome on arrival to the pristine accommodation, excellent food and stunning views, Elounda Heights always delivers an amazing, relaxing holiday

Natalia, Kostas and all the staff go out of their way to ensure that every guest has a wonderful experience. For us, it is always a perfect holiday and we will be returning yet again in 2026

There is an on-site restaurant and bar where meals are served every evening (except Sundays), and a daily special is created by the legend that is Vangelis. There is an ala carte menu too

I love my hiking and Elounda Heights is perfectly positioned to offer a number of excellent and varied hikes. We are always sad to leave at the end of our stay. but all good things must come to an end (so they say)

Can't believe this place is only 2 stars. The hosts and service were exceptional. The room was modern and spacious. It's a perfect location with stunning views across the harbour and to Kalydon island opposite

I can only imagine it's 2 star as there is no restaurant but it's so central you are spoilt for options for breakfast/ brunch, lunch and dinner. Theres also an incredible cake shop opposite

This is a very large complex which is set very close to the sea and within a 30 minute walk of Elounda town & Square. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept and the staff are friendly

The buffet breakfast and evening buffet meal in the main restaurant were very good as were the other restaurants. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to make out stay enjoyable

You can choose whatever you like , a lot of salads, hot buffet, sweets…. Every evening you can choose to eat at the main restaurant, taverna or to water park. Everything what we need it you can find and eat

The water park keeps the kids happy and happy kids means happy parents! It was a well kept hotel with all the amenities that we needed, we also felt welcomed and looked after throughout our stay

I had to write a review for this amazing hotel! I had 5 days here with my grown up daughter. Everything was amazing! If you can, book the pool rooms…what a treat! The gym was well kitted out and not too busy
