Elounda Sunrise Apart-Hotel in Elounda

This year was our 8th time here. Once again we had the best of holidays. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. The food was all made freshly and very good. The bar was always accommodating and the views spectacular. The sunset cruise is always a highlight of the holiday and yes we are going again next year.

Although it started with a longer journey than we would have liked from the airport, we were met by Yannis at the bar. He welcomed us and took our cases up to the room. The next morning we were treated to a fabulous view of the sea, from Room 35. Overall , the room was clean and comfortable, well looked after and exceeded our expectations. I would have no problem in recommending these apartments, with sufficient sunbeds , very accomodating staff and a very enjoyable holiday. Our grateful thanks to all for their efforts.

We had a lovely stay at Elounda Sunrise. Location: Perfect Room 17: Views were amazing from our apartment. The interior is simple but apartment is spacious and clean (which was maintained frequently during our 10 day stay). Toilet bins were emptied daily. A hook to hold the shower head would be good for ease but really wasn’t a problem l. The apartments patio faces directly onto the bar area, so if you are expecting exclusive privacy, I’d suggest you choose a different room. For us it really wasn’t an issue at all. Jungle Bar: provided exceptional service. Big shout out to Giannis and his brother for running a tight ship and to all the staff but particularly Soula who works incredibly hard all day every day serving her guests. I wish I had her stamina! Elounda Boat Trips: A shout out to Peter, who manages the boat trips (which is a must). He is full of local knowledge and suggested some lovely authentic Greek restaurants. He also hosts the quiz night, which was fun. Thank you to all at Sunrise for a great holiday.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean, with a pleasant and spacious terrace. You are warmly welcomed by the two brothers, and the father keeps an eye on everything, as well as the staff, who are all very friendly. The food is delicious with a wide variety, and the location is excellent — everything is close by.

I wanted to share my positive experience during a recent stay with my granddaughter Ada.  Yannis was incredibly helpful and friendly upon our arrival. Ada had hurt her thumb, and Yannis was very kind in assisting with that. In fact, we found all the hotel staff to be lovely and always ready to help. We also really appreciated the nice hotel and the good choice of food available at the jungle bar, which was nicely presented. Our room was spotlessly clean and the hotel overall felt very child-friendly. We had a very happy and enjoyable time and would highly recommend your hotel as a great place to stay. The hotel is in a good position on the sea front it is very well maintained and clean. The room was very spacious and clean.the beds were very comfortable so we had a great night sleep and the air con was quiet and worked perfectly. The staff were very friendly. The hotel has a child play area and a small section in the pool for children. It is only a very short walk into the town square where there is plenty of restaurants.

A lovely hotel on the sea front! Comfiest beds i have slept in whilst in Greece! I will warn you though the coach drops you on the main street next to the supermarket and points down a little alley keep walking til you get to the sea, turn right and walk for a few minutes, a bit of a chore if your suitcase wheels aren't working as they should!! We stayed here in May 2023. On arrival, we were greeted with a welcoming smile from Yani who showed us to our room. We were originally put upstairs in the older building above the kitchen, but mum couldn't manage the stairs, we asked for a different room the next morning and was moved straight away, no messing! It was nearly eleven when we arrived and was hungry, (the hotel stops making food at 5pm) so we ordered a drink and Yani ordered us a takeaway gyros from the local takeaway which was lovely of him. Safe deposit box and aircon were charged extra. The cleaners were great and worked so hard, towels and beds changed regularly, rooms swept and mopped every few days. Sula who works behind the bar, does not stop! She was amazing and so was Yani, both are lovely, so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return this May, I just hope the staff are all there especially Pete who organises the boat trips and entertainment, his strawberry raki is awesome!!
