It is always difficult to make negative comments when you are greeted by the most wonderful reception staff who were extremely helpful during our stay, but please listen to the most recent reviews by other guests who’s comments we totally agree with, our room was possibly the worst we have stayed in since we started our travels in the 1980’s. The hotel is soulless, is in need of an urgent makeover and please do something for your guests in the evening, there’s nothing worse than going out for a meal and returning to what can be best described as a desolate place. Krini Hotel: 2* if you're feeling generous. This hotel is a masterclass in disappointment, with Elounda's beauty starkly contrasting its own mediocrity. Let's dive into the details: - *Cleaning Catastrophe*: Rooms were disgustingly dirty, with dirt marks on walls and curtains, broken fixtures, and a kettle caked in greasy dust. The bathroom was a biohazard, with a sink precariously attached to the wall and a showerhead that turned into Niagara Falls on our first night. Daily towel swaps were the only semblance of cleaning, but don't expect fresh bedding or a tidy room. Even after bringing it to the manager's attention, the cleaning standards didn't improve. - *Pool Area Nightmare*: Torn sunbeds, algae-covered tiles, rusty handles, and a welcoming committee of bugs and hornets (one of which stung my partner). Oh, and the blue paint stains from the pool? Good luck getting those off in the shower. The manager's struggling to find a solution, assuring us it's a "quick fix" that's apparently taking an eternity. We even spotted a potential hornet's nest near the pool, and the manager seemed unfazed. - *Food for Thought (Not Much)*: Consistently cold or lukewarm meals, with basic breakfast options that never changed. It's like they're trying to make you lose your appetite. When we complained, staff would "top up" the trays, exposing the food to flies for 10 whole minutes. Bon appétit! - *Music to My Ears (Not)*: Ear-piercing dance music 24/7, despite our requests for traditional Greek music. It's like they're hosting a never-ending rave. Even after asking them to change the music, it only lasted a few hours before the boom box came back out. - *Staff*: The only somewhat redeeming quality was the friendliness and helpfulness of some staff members. They tried their best to assist us despite the hotel's many shortcomings. EasyJet's response? Unimpressive. Despite the hotel's false advertising, they told us to give the hotel a chance to fix things. When we asked to transfer, they offered two overpriced options (£3000+), essentially blaming us for choosing the hotel. Not exactly the support you'd expect from a booking agent. They even had the nerve to state it was the guests' responsibility for choosing such a hotel, ignoring the fact that the hotel was falsely advertised as "fresh," "clean," and a "3-minute walk to sandy beaches" – all lies. In short, Krini Hotel is a soulless, dirty, and poorly maintained disaster. Save your money and spend it elsewhere. And if you're smart, you'll avoid EasyJet altogether. Tip: Don't believe the hype, and don't book this hotel without doing your research. One guest even called it "soulless," and we'd agree.

We had booked a classic Sea view room on B & B basis On arrival we were taken to a room on the ground floor that was no more than a broom cupboard with no sea view. The cleaning regime was poor. I asked for a room transfer that was eventually agreed. The room we were given was on a higher level with a beautiful sea view but again poor cleaning regime. When we opened the shower curtain the whole lot collapsed, the shower tap required cleaning, the shower head didn’t stay in position so you had to hold it all the time, this was reported to reception who fixed it. The shower tray would not empty as the plug hole cover was disgusting, I asked the cleaner to sort it and clean our room which she did. I had to ask reception if the beds were meant to be made daily as ours wasn’t. This was rectified to a level. I asked the cleaner how we got clean cups and she pointed to the bathroom and duly went and put some washing liquid in a used water bottle and gave us a used scouring pad!. The air conditioning is quite noisy and the discharge pipe goes out onto the balcony providing a nice puddle. I spoke to two other couples who had all the same problems so we were not unique. They had spoken to their holiday reps and EasyJet happily told one couple it would cost them thousands to move hotels! Positive notes are the reception staff were sympathetic and apologetic. A shout out to Tina on reception specifically who made it more bearable. Elounda is a beautiful place, and the Thea restaurant and bar 3 minutes from the hotel is very welcoming with great food and atmosphere.

I didn’t stay at this hotel , I just visited for the day , I was staying at another hotel in the village , and went here for a change . All very pleasant, good lunch , friendly staff, apart from the swimming pool,it looked as though it had recently been painted , after getting out the pool I noticed the bottom of my feet were stained with blue paint & also my knees where they had touched the sides of the pool ! !
