Ostria Resort & Spa in Ierapetra

The rooms were extremely comfortable with everything needed for our stay. The hotel was very well thought out with quiet areas away from the nosier entertainment area along with an adult bar and pool where you could enjoy the surroundings and relax. The beach and sea were very pleasant with beautiful clear sea. When we first stepped inside the hotel it felt calm and relaxing. The location was on the whole good although quite a drive from the airport and Heraklion. However for this holiday that was fine as it was more about relaxing and releasing stress. The spa facilities were excellent.

Me and my partner stayed at the hotel the first week of September. We arrived at the hotel around 2:30am, the staff at reception were very helpful and had food set up in the buffet for our arrival. We got taken by a kart to our room and showed around the resort and given lots of information by the driver. The room itself was beautiful and spacious and there was plenty of storage. It got cleaned every day and fresh bottles of water was put in the fridge every day. There was plenty of loungers by the pool and the sea and everywhere got the sun did not matter where you sat. The beach was stony but there was wooden walk ways. At the beach there was a section for water sports and swimming. Me and my partner did an inflatable which cost us €25 each. There was multiple activities provided by the entertainment team daily for example aqua bikes, aqua gym and lots of ball games. The entertainment team spoke multiple languages such as French, Spanish and English. Each night had a dress code for example white night, flowers, elegant. We enjoyed the themed nights since there was always entertainment on. However the gala night was confusing since we was not aware the buffet was not open and we had to go to another area of the resort to have a set menu which we was not a fan off and the food did not come at once. We felt it was unorganised. The resort is mainly French speaking however everyone makes an effort to speak English and start conversations in English. The day before we left we asked for late checkout since we had a late flight. This cost us €80 which we thought was good. The food was amazing and there was plenty of choice and different food every night. The drinks were delicious as well and the bar staff were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back :)

I stayed at Ostria Resort & Spa in Crete with just my daughter, and it was truly a holiday we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. The resort itself is stunning – beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and set against the most breathtaking backdrop of the Cretan sea. The atmosphere felt both luxurious and relaxed, making it perfect for a mother-daughter getaway. Our room was modern, spacious, and extremely comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The pools and grounds are immaculate, and there’s always a quiet corner to relax in as well as lively areas full of energy if you prefer that. What really stood out was the service. Every member of staff we encountered went above and beyond – always smiling, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made my daughter feel special, which meant so much to me. The food was another highlight. Each meal offered such variety, from traditional Cretan dishes to international favourites, always fresh and beautifully presented. The spa is a sanctuary in itself – peaceful, elegant, and the perfect place to unwind. I indulged in a treatment while my daughter enjoyed the pools, and we both left feeling completely rejuvenated. Nice big comfy beds ,pillows were the best ive ever had couldn't really fault it , only moan ,is nobody explained using the safe .maybe my fault ?

The Ostria is the best all inclusive resort we have stayed in so far. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The cleanliness was immaculate, we thought it was a new resort! The pools were cold but refreshing once you were in. The Ortega bar needs to be repurposed as over the week we only saw on person is there, maybe make it into a sports bar with pool table. The food was the highlight for us, we went to both à la carte restaurants which were nice but the buffet was just as good with more selection. The lunch at the beach restaurant was always cooked fresher in full view. Lots of umbrellas and beds, we enjoyed the adults bar and pool for the peace and quiet. Taxis arranged for you by reception made getting to town very easy. Wife used the modern gym most days but advanced booking required, with additional cost of €5.

The hotel grounds and rooms are beautiful and extremely well-maintained. You will undoubtedly be well-looked after by the hotel's passionate and considerate staff. There are 6 restaurants on site, including a main all-inclusive restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, a snack restaurant open all-day near the pool, two further all-inclusive restaurants (where you can book a table, perfect for date nights if you're a couple) and two optional restaurants available for booking tables (not-included). There is also an adults only pool/ bar and adults only section of the main restaurant (if you're keen to get away from any noisy children). If you like cocktails - the adults pool bar is worth a visit one evening. There's a fantastic Spa which offers a wide variety of massages and treatments that include a Hammam (Turkish bath), heated pool, Sauna, and ice bath/ cold plunge shower. Our masseuses were very professional, possibly the best massages we've ever had. They held a variety of performance or themed evenings which were excellent and made the stay that bit more special than other resorts we've visited. (Will leave these as a surprise for your visit). Out of all the Greek resorts we have visited, this one stands out as exceptional! Thank you, Ostria, for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful hotel feels like a little greece village. Great food and friendly staff. Beach is very well organised. Gave 4 out of 5 because few things: Pillows were not the comfiest. Didnt like being forced to join dinner at ostria palace one evening. Didnt know abaout it beforehand, wasted 3 hours of my life just to have something to eat. Was very anxious as dont like situations and events like that. Felt awful after. Alternative dinner at bistro should be still available... To much orientated into french customers which wasnt nice.
