Reviews
I don’t recommend this hotel at all. At first, things seemed okay despite a strong humid smell in the room and the fact that the window can’t be reached (it’s too tall), so we had no view whatsoever.
However, everything changed after a heavy rain in the evening. Our bathroom started dripping water, and soon we realized we weren’t the only ones: the room next to ours was leaking even worse. Water was also coming in from outside. We immediately called the front desk to report the issue. A staff member came, looked at it, and said it was “nothing serious.” He promised to get back to us with a solution, but an hour passed with no response.
We called again, but no one answered. Another hour later, we called again, and someone finally picked up and told us they couldn’t do anything because there were no empty rooms available, but that someone would come to help us “deal with the flood.” We waited and waited, and no one ever showed up. We ended up spending the night in a flooded room.
What bummed us out the most wasn’t just the leak, it was the complete lack of effort from the staff. I understand if they couldn’t move us to another room, but at least show some sincerity and try to help. Instead, they just ignored the situation.
If you want to sleep in a damp, flooded room and deal with unhelpful staff, this hotel is your best choice. Oh, and btw, the Wi-Fi is painfully slow. It takes about 10 seconds just to send a message.
There is NO parking. They don't bring your luggage down to where they would pick you up with an uber. Horrible hotel and very misleading. If the local drivers also mention that hotel is a scam and always gets away with it cuz of the spot they got, that's enough to know to put this review.
PS your own locals told us to write a review for their business being a scam.
The pictures on the website looked fantastic, and the location superb... but as you can see, a picture is worth a thousand words. Be careful with this hotel as not all rooms are nice. Some are amazing and some are... well, like the one we had.
Small, twin beds (when we explicitly asked during the booking for a double bed, as we were a couple looking for romantic holidays), we even had to do our own beds (???). Totally charmless.
The views were very good though, and the breakfast too (including natural orange juice). The woman who attended us during checking/checkout: very nice as well.
By the way, there is no Wi-Fi. We tried almost everything, including two visits to reception. Nothing. In 2017 Wi-Fi is not something nice to have but must to have.
Oh! And the jacuzzi: fantastic if it were not for the fact that the water was COLD! Crazy...
Facilities: clean and comprehensive
Price: around 50-60 euros per night for a single room, with an amazing breakfast included! (Freshly squeezed orange juice, tea/coffee, different types of pastries including spanikopita, fruit salad, and cheese/cold cuts)
Reception desk is also very friendly and helped me arrange early taxis to see sunrise and gave me lots of bus/tour info's!
Only con is the WiFi is very poor on the lower level rooms and I had to go to the upper terrace to connect
