So first a nice clean hotel, rooms were large and cleaned, beds made everyday.Clean towels changed regular.Great view of the pool and a large balcony with furniture. The pool area very clean and a lovely size pool. Staff are friendly and helpful....big praise for the restaurant girls ,they work non stop....we have seen the young receptionist being shouted at by a couple of women on seperate occasions, which is not acceptable at all...we even asked if she was ok afterwards.... Now the bad points.....NO HOT WATER!!!!all day everyday......just a trickle comes out of taps.... We were B&B,for 2 weeks and STONE COLD BREAKFAST EVERYDAY!!!!! We did mention it all to Reception and our Rep....but nothing changed in those weeks.....such a shame these 2 major problems because it is a lovely hotel I think JET 2 who we went with ,really need to send someone out to see the problems ,that several have complained about. A large amount of Polish, not a problem but they do like to shove you out of the way in the restaurant and allow their kuds to run around dining room ,screaming .....no a place to play !!! Also, the hotel is on the edge of town ,if you have walking issues ,for example on a frame ....you have to walk along the main road ,there is no foot path.....can be a bit dangerous...

Where do I begin? I won’t bother saying anything about this hotel as it is the worst 3 star hotel we have had the misfortune of staying in. Don’t believe me then try it for yourselves but you have been warned.

What can I say? we have been coming to alykanas for the last few years, and this is the worst hotel we've stayed in. The only good thing was the pool, which was huge. The young lady who ran the bar had to man reception at the same time, obviously not enough staff. We had a good rapport with her,It catered more for Polish . The other staff were not friendly. Food was awful ,don't bother if you are B&B,pop along to Nikos bar or Bliss bar for breakfast. We never had the bedding changed and the towels were only changed once. Our holiday apart from this was brilliant .

Me and my wife stayed one week b&b the first week in September. On checking in the young girl said are you staying here (the two suitcases should have been a big hint) fill in this form pay 35 euros tax your room is in block b behind the bar. No welcome to greece enjoy your stay , so untypical of Greek hospitality. We have been holidaying in Greece for 20 years and love the warm friendly people. That set the tone for the week no eye contact no hello from the staff. The supermarket greek staff were lovely the girl on reception was nice(older blonde curly hair). The beer was like water. The breakfast was cold, fruit juice the weakest I've ever tasted, coffee was nice. My wife picked up a stomach bug,one morning she had fried egg on toast(the egg was cold in the middle) could not be eaten. We stopped going for breakfast the last three days. We know other guests had dodgy stomachs too. There was constantly a smell of sewerage. No hot water after 5.30 p.m. Saturday night there was a greek wedding in the main building which went on to the early hours and was nice to see the Greeks partying but no pre warning of this happening. The pool area was good and the room cleaning was OK but that's it. If you like weak beer and poor food this is the place for you. Felt sorry for all inclusive guests no entertainment day or night.

We were a bit scared after reading the reviews. It wasn't bad at all in the end. Has it's pros and cons, but it is a 3* budget hotel. The location is good. Quiet but 5-10 minutes walk from the centre, filled with amazing restaurants, bars and shops. 20 minutes walk from the beach, hotel offers complimentary bus to the beach and back 3 times a day. The pool area is amazing. Clean and really large (compared to others around) pool. It's never been too busy too, any time of the day you could find sunbeds so no need for early wake up. Pool was even empty at some points of the day. There is splash area for little kids separated from the rest of the pool. There is also play area for the kids with slides, swings and roundabout. Can't really comment on the food - it looked repetitive on the menu. We've only had breakfast and it was OK, same thing every day but fresh and you wouldn't go hungry. Coffee, tea, squash for kids, toast, sausage, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, baked beans. Also cereals and granola, some honey, jam, chocolate spread. All you need for breakfast really. The rooms are dated but OK and cleaned daily except for Sunday (understandable). There is lots of space and storage, the Balcony was huge, with furniture. Beds OK,toilet OK. Here comes a little problem though - hot water not existent. It could be warm some parts of the day, but in the evening usually just cold. The air conditioning worked great, we had to pay extra for it - 5 euros a day. 10 euros for the safe as well. Another problem that could bother - for about 2 days in the morning there was a bad sewage smell on corridors. Not sure how long it stayed as we were out all days and the smell was gone when we were back. It was just corridor, not the room though. Now for the last point which is the staff. Here we were left a bit disappointed. The Greek part of the staff was brilliant- the ladies in reception always with smile, helpful, happy to answer any questions, recommend things. The bartender also really good. Then comes a part of staff - the girl at the bar and so called "animation team" who were Polish, as was about 50% of the guests. So don't think you'll be served at the bar if you don't speak Polish. Well you will be, as last, after all Polish speaking guests were served (and had a chat). My kids went to buy ice cream and were ignored- the lady pretended that she didn't understand them. Same for the kids club/ activities. There were some games, aqua aerobic- all in Polish and rest of the kids rudely ignored. Now that wasn't a big deal of us as we stayed in the hotel maybe for 2 days and mostly for the pool but I think it's worth mentioning if your kids like kids clubs and activities. The only one they could join would be a Greek night that they do once a week - there's live music and dancers, they show traditional Greek dancing and then invite everyone to have some fun. Really nice touch. Overall we don't regret booking - hotel serves great as a place to sleep and have breakfast,

Just came on here to write a review and saw a review about a drunk girl. This was me and the bar man was not screaming and shouting not sure what this person saw. He was very kind and was trying to help me get back to my room and checking that I was ok. He was very concerned and check the next day to make sure I was ok. As for the hotel it is a lovely position with lovely staff. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. I have already booked for next year

Have been to Zante for many years and decided to try as we booked last minute. Positives: Beautiful pool, hotel looks nice in the front and not a far walk from the main town. Negatives: The room is one of the worst we’ve stayed in. Bed’s are extremely hard with one thin pillow, although we managed. However, the cleanliness was terrible. As soon as we arrived, the block itself reeked of drains. Our bathroom smelled the same no matter what we did. Very outdated, although that wasn’t a major issue. Got to our room and one of the drawers was completely broken. All taps were rusted over and difficult to turn on. Shower head couldn’t be adjusted as rusted until it was stiff. Had to hang over the edge of the bath tub and use the shower like a hose. Water would run out every thirty seconds and we rarely managed to get hot water. Bed sheets were changed once in a 12 night stay, and we requested clean towels but didn’t get any. Ended up washing our own in the sink and reusing them. We did half-board and the food was limited and repetitive. I personally would not stay again. Perhaps we drew the short straw and got bad luck with the room, but I would not advise people to stay here.

Hi all. Look its an ok hotel with no atmosphere no fun factor. We only had the breakfast deal and that was boring food absolutely no tastes or flavours. Same old thing. The place needs rescuing. We are here so we made the most of it...went out to the local places about 10 minutes walk 🚶‍♂️. Staff ok not at all interested in you as greetings goes ...to be honest I am disappointed.

Family focused place with a bit outdated amenities but quite nice people who make up for small inconveniences ( air conditioning units that tend to faulty function from time to time, sun-beds reserved by guests before day starts, or no access to drinking water past 11 pm at the hotel). Lots of Polish and British families who come and go every week. This place has its unique charm. Located close to town and the beaches makes exploring the magic of the island easy. If you stay by the pool or decide to walk to the beach- there is no doubt you will enjoy yourself with a cup of Greek frappe.

Hotel situated on the outskirts, at the beginning of the town of Alykanas, coming from Zakynthos. The great advantage of the hotel is a large and clean swimming pool, large availability of sunbeds.
