Great Hotel but could improve. We stayed here a few years back so this may not be 100% accurate now but we loved it. Great location and great staff, did find it a bit annoying to pay for a hotel room safe when it's included in other places and the drink offers were a bit slim. Another visit the Palmyra did not disappoint, a well run hotel with spacious rooms with waterfall showers in the bathroom. Complimentary toiletries are nice bonus . The hotel is not next to the beach, but this is not an issue! You can have a transfer from there to any place that you want to visit. People who work there are amazing! Service is great! Came to the Varres as at the end of our holiday my wife was admitted to hospital on the day we should have flown home. Moved to Varres Hotel as it is close if not the closest to the hospital. All the staff were brilliant and their shuttle service spot on , can’t fault the hotel or staff, and when we are back in Zakynthos will head for the Varres rather then a beach all inclusive hotel .

Excellent place! If you are in Zante for a quiet and peaceful vacation - Varres is a great place for that. Rooms are cosy, the pool is ultra clean and the staff is just perfect. 30 minutes to the port by foot, or 7-8 mins with a car. Shuttles were available for anywhere on the island. Hotel restaurant is just what you need for a cosy evening - food was great! Can’t wait for the next visit!

A nice hotel. The rooms were neat and well cared for, though the atmosphere felt a bit lacking (with one of the lamps it had a bit of an aquarium vibe, but that was mostly just funny). The staff is really nice and helpful. It’s located uphill a little bit, so keep in mind there’s a bit of a slope and some stairs. The view is very nice though, I really enjoyed my stay :)

Everything was fine except the bathrooms, which need refurbishment this was the only negative thing about the hotel. The staff were young and very friendly always willing to help. Pool was really clean and enjoyable. Food was nice, however breakfast could be better! Drinks were great. A little far from the beach as the hotel is located on a hill so renting a car is a must.

Yannis, Sandy and Maria were all lovely and couldn't do enough for me and my friends on our holiday. We had 2 rooms between the 4 of us and they were perfect for what we required. Bed, shower and fridge was all we needed as we ate out everyday. Last thing you want to do on holiday is cook 😉 rooms were regularly cleaned and towels changed. Very friendly down by the bar and pool and met quite a few regulars...

Was great to be back last month May 2022 for a week. As always spotlessly clean, towels and beds changed regularly during visit, sure it was 3 times. Sandy and Giannis as welcoming as ever, met up with old friends,looking forward to going back. Its a great place, you are really looked after here, even if you travel alone you make friends and people look out for you.

I stayed here for 3 nights earl April, it is a lovely little family run Greek hotel, super helpful Simon and staff, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was wonderful and plentiful too, everything was clean and I slept very well there, thank you so much for your hospitality Simon

We were in room 6. Bit of a hike up to the room, another 15 steps up to door! It was worth it for the glorious view! Rooms cleaned everyday by lovely staff. Room very dated but very clean. Great air con. Bit scary at 1st walking to shops but, the drivers mostly courteous. Road busy during the day but quiet at night. Pool nice enough but the umbrella was not working! Not much on offer by way of snacks

The absolute best. The owners are incredibly nice, the localisation is good as it's close to the beach, the rooms themselves are very good-looking, there's a pool here, a garden, you can pay and have delicious breakfast and other meals here... in general, if you're still hesitating whether to pick this hotel or not, please do, you'll be more than satisfied.

Very cool! Although it is not in the town, it takes about half an hour to walk to this hotel, but it is also on the pick-up route for each group. It is very quiet, the environment is very good, and the facilities are great. It is relatively cheap to stay alone, and the price/performance ratio is very good👍
