Service

The spa area is nice, particularly the outdoor pools, although the sauna area is rather small. The food was average. Unfortunately, the service did not meet the standard I would expect from a high-priced five-star hotel. At the spa bar, we wanted to order two drinks directly at the bar but were told that orders could only be taken at the table, where a 15% service fee applies. This was particularly disappointing because guests immediately before and after us were served directly at the bar. When we politely pointed out the inconsistency, the response was unfriendly rather than helpful. For a hotel in this price category, I would expect professional, courteous and consistent service for all guests. The spa facilities are enjoyable, but the service experience significantly affected our overall impression.

The Spa area is nice in particular the outdoor pools, sauna area is way too small, food average, but the service is not acceptable. At the spa area the service refused to take our orders of 2 drinks at the bar, only at the table (with 15% service fee). Other (hungarian) guests right before and after us were served. After making aware of this the service was rude. This is a high price 5 star hotel, and should not be tolerated.

I recently spent two nights at Spirit Hotel Thermal Spa in Sárvár, and I had an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and offered everything I expect from a five-star hotel. It was comfortable, well-equipped, and made for a truly relaxing stay. I was particularly impressed by the wellness area. Although the staff told me that the hotel was hosting a large number of guests during my stay, it never felt crowded. I had no difficulty finding a comfortable sun lounger in my preferred area, the pools were pleasantly uncrowded, and I could enjoy the saunas in complete comfort. The entire spa complex is exceptionally large and offers a wide variety of pools, saunas, and wellness experiences, including thermal medicinal water. What truly stood out, however, was the restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth at both breakfast and dinner. The head waiter personally escorted us to our table and thoughtfully ensured that we were seated in a comfortable area without feeling crowded by other guests. This attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcome. The food was simply outstanding. Every meal offered a wide variety of beautifully prepared dishes, all of exceptional quality. It was a real culinary experience, and every breakfast and dinner was something to look forward to. I can wholeheartedly recommend Spirit Hotel to anyone looking for a true five-star experience. If you appreciate outstanding hospitality, an exceptional wellness and thermal spa complex, and first-class cuisine, this hotel is an excellent choice. I will gladly return in the future.

I recently stayed at Spirit Hotel Sarvar and overall had a mixed experience. The hotel itself is very nice. The wellness and spa area are definitely the highlight — the pools are beautiful, clean, and perfect for relaxing. Everything feels well-maintained and organized. The rooms are also spacious, modern, and very clean, which made the stay comfortable. Breakfast was solid, with a good selection and enough variety to start the day well. However, dinner was a major disappointment and honestly far below the standard you would expect from a hotel like this. The quality of the food was poor, the taste was underwhelming, and the overall experience just didn’t match the rest of the hotel at all. I would strongly recommend skipping the hotel dinner entirely and going out to eat instead. There are much better options outside, and you’ll likely have a far more enjoyable meal. In summary, this is a great hotel for wellness, relaxation, and comfort — but do yourself a favor and don’t rely on their dinner.

This was our 7th visit to Hotel Spirit Thermal Spa—and our first time back in nearly 10 years. We arrived with great anticipation, wondering if the hotel would still have the same magical ability to captivate us as before… and we are happy to say: absolutely nothing disappointed! Our room, the Oriental Blue, was beautifully redesigned—tasteful, bright, spacious, and equipped with every comfort you could wish for. It truly felt like a luxurious home away from home. The spa and wellness area remains the heart and soul of the hotel. It offers everything you could imagine, all impeccably maintained, clean, and functioning perfectly. Being there is pure joy—and truly balm for the soul. A personal favorite of ours is the Hammam experience, which we can highly recommend. That said, all treatments and massages are of exceptional quality and a true indulgence. The restaurant continues to impress with its wide variety of high-quality dishes. Every meal feels like a special experience, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. The entire atmosphere of the hotel radiates relaxation, care, and a deep understanding of what a true wellness retreat should offer. The surrounding area has also seen remarkable improvements. Beautiful running paths around the lakes, outdoor fitness areas, playgrounds, and sports facilities add even more value to the stay. The town of Sárvár itself has evolved into a charming and inviting destination, with lovely landscaping, new shops, and a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. If you appreciate spa, wellness, and self-care at the highest level, Hotel Spirit Thermal Spa is simply a must-visit. Thank you, Hotel Spirit, for yet another wonderful stay—and for continuing to create such a special place dedicated to relaxation and wellbeing.

This definitely not a 5 stars hotel. Stuff speaks very limited English.
The spa treatment was very expensive and yet there was nobody to guide you. To explain how does it work

This hotel is great, it's new and the staff are nice too. However, one issue is that parking isn't very convenient. Also, I think the hotel is a bit old. Everything else is fine.

Before I start I feel obliged to quote that I am a loyal customer of this venue for last 10 years. My next stay (4th this year) will happen 17-23 August. We have visited Spirit in any month of the year / during covid / during the major overhaul they did. I am confident that they will be able to keep the standard for the years to come. I allways gave them honest feedback after my stay to let them focus on minor topics I found not at the level. There is allways a space for improvements, but in general I see high consistency over the last 10 years. The layed-back tranquill atmosphere is what I allways enjoy here, with wide selection of welness/beauty/health/relax services. If you prefer to get value for your money - this is the place. Fair alternative for sea-side relax in any type of weather. The staff is a huge asset here, however expect minor complications if you speak English only :-)

We have been coming here for the past 4 years and must say the staff, the facilities and the treatments that this resort offers could not be better. However we noticed last year that the quality of the food in the dining room was not the best and this year it really has deteriorated significantly. Also the selection of entrees are the same every night. The pastries on offer are definitely not up to standard and the warm deserts have the same fruit sauce for the past 10 days. The Oxygen bar menu has not changed in the past 4 years. Hopefully when we return next year there will be a great improvement.
