Great location, simple, clean room. Walls are a little thin, could hear other doors being opened and closed. There was some space along the street to drop off luggages, hotel recommended a couple of nearby parking garages which were all walkable even in the insane wind. Our room was clean and well organized, and the bed was very comfortable. It was easy to regulate the heat/cold by simply adjusting the radiators and/or opening the windows. This is my second time visiting Fosshótel Mývatn and I could not recommend it more. Services, food and drinks are all top notch. The rooms are immaculate. There is an incredible sauna on the third floor that you can access until 10pm and the happy hour deals at the hotel bar are an excellent deal.

The hotel is very nicely located next to Lake Mytvan and can see the sunset and sunrise from the dining room as well as the room. This was one of the better hotels I stayed at during my trip to Iceland. The environment was clean and tidy, and the room was quite spacious. The female front desk staff's attitude towards Asians was a bit indifferent, while the male staff was very enthusiastic; the difference in attitude was quite noticeable. There was free water in the room.

If you have an early flight it's a good option and just 3km away from airport.

The distance from Keflavik Airport is quite a dilemma. While it's walkable, you'd be walking through a dark, unlit wilderness at night, which can be scary. I'd advise women, children, and the elderly to avoid it. If you opt for a taxi, it takes less than 5 minutes from the airport but costs around 2000 yen, which feels like a waste. The hotel itself is fantastic, as expected from a Marriott property...

It's pretty good overall. The only downside is there's no direct way to get there from the city center; you have to take a taxi.

Compared to the rooms I stayed in Lei City, there's nothing particularly outstanding here. The hotel's 3km distance from the airport is quite inconvenient; it's a long walk without a dedicated sidewalk. Only Marriott members can enjoy the airport shuttle service before 8 AM. After 8 AM, taxis are the only option, and a 3km, 4-minute drive cost over 30 USD. It would have been better to pay a bit more...

This hotel seems very new and is a great location for airport access. The staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. Parking here is free, there is a petrol fill-up right in the parking lot which is easy for returning rental cars. We only stayed at the hotel for one night, but it was a really enjoyable experience. Hotel was clean and nice. Location is 1.5hr away to Vik etc but was a great stop for us coming down from the north. Didn’t manage to see any aurora here as the weather was cloudy.

The place to stay is very close to the church. Service is so-so. Breakfast is okay. Eating at KFC nearby is the most cost-effective option; places like Da Shi Dai are just a few minutes' walk away. I ate there. The pizza was over 200 kilos, and the crust was completely burnt. I saw other people were also complaining. A bowl of noodles was 170 kilos, a fried rice was 200 kilos, a taco was 120 kilos...

They were very attentive and provided warm service; there's really nothing to say, just go for it. Cleanliness could be improved, the bed and blankets are a little small, but overall it was still very good.

The hotel is clean and close to the waterfall as well as the Systravatn Viewpoint. We didn’t see the aurora during the night we stayed but we saw meteors which is also a very nice surprise. The staff of the hotel are helpful and friendly.

I saw the Northern Lights right outside the hotel, starting clearly at 8 PM! The hotel breakfast was excellent. Although the room wasn't huge, it was quite good for Iceland and very clean.

The facilities are clean. It was a comfortable stay for a family of three with a three-year-old. There's a waterfall nearby and about three restaurants. The breakfast, while not extensive, is delicious, so I highly recommend it if the price is right.

This was our second time staying at Hótel Húsafell. Both times have been amazing. The staff is all very friendly. The restaurant meals were delicious. The room and hotel is comfortable and cozy. The hotel can coordinate several great excursions. We did the lava cave tour and the cannon baths; both were great. They provide a Northern Lights wake-up call, which helped us catch the lights.

Stayed one night at the Hotel Husafell. It is a pretty little place about 90 minutes outside Reykjavik. Our room was clean and covered all the basics. Liked that it had a functioning window and door to step outside - that came in handy for the Northern Lights viewing (they ring you in the night if the lights are visible)! The hotel's location is convenient, but they don't have triple rooms. There are good restaurants downstairs or nearby. There's a car park, but only small cars can safely fit; larger cars might not make it.

If you're sensitive to smells, definitely don't stay here. The sulfur smell is overwhelming; it woke me up twice in the middle of the night. The water also has a strong sulfur smell. Writing this review reminds me of that stench, and it makes me shudder.

The Ladies at the front desk are INCREDIBLE, especially for solo travelers, they are very helpful. The food is FANTASTIC. As you enter the hotel you can obviously see that they are seeking for money. No kettle or spresso machine in the room (you have to pay around 20€ daily if you want them) , no water in the fridge at all , a list of the prices of all the products in the room ( such as blankets and condoms and some toothbrushes and etc.) hidden in the cabinet! We found our room to be typical of most European hotels. Minimalist, no storage, and no door on the bathroom. That means when you turn on the light to use the restroom in the middle of the night, it lights up the entire room. Tha room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Great stay pre-cruise. Excellent property, beautifully appointed. Was just a short walk to our cruise port and to the Harpa concert hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of dining and drinking options within a short walk and an excellent restaurant in-house

Everything was great except the room was a bit small. The location is on a pedestrian street. The bed was very comfortable.

Highly recommended, great location, great Service. Although the room was a bit small, but given the room Rate was quite affordable in Reykjavik, This hotel is certainly great Value for money.
