Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe

I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik

But the housekeeping folks while cleaning did not even touch any valuable stuff that i left. It is really a very reliable and safe hotel. They have a restaurant that serves delicioys food

But thanks to his clear guidance I managed to navigate well and had a great day out. This hotel is about 15 to 20mrs from city centre by walk. One day I forgot my gold chain in the room

I ate their fish and chips and chicken salad. The breakfast has a good spread. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The best part is still the excellent service from the staff

Had a great stay at this hotel. The booking was meant to be for a twin room but initially was given a double. After a bit of searching the staff managed to sort out a twin room for us

The hotel is located in what's arguably the most popular area for hotels in Iceland. It's about a 10-minute drive to the harbor, museums, and shopping spots

The rooms are quite spacious, but the bed was a bit too soft for my liking

Beautiful modern and clean hotel in the center of Reykjavik. Everything is walking distance from here. In front of the hotel there is a beautiful record store, if you like music you might get lost in there

Lovely hotel with great facilities including a wonderful spa (extra cost for standard guests). Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Buffet breakfast was excellent and worth paying that bit extra

Its location is however a fair walk out of town (and beyond the bus station). We coped because we’re happy to walk, but there’s a lot of construction going on in the area, which made part of the walk a difficult one

Comfortable hotel a short walk from the city center. The room we had was big, with a lovely bed, a bathroom that was clean and spacious enough and all facilities you might need

The breakfast buffet was good, as long as you stay away from the waffle irons and the espresso machine if you have only a short amount of time (they have very tasty filter coffee at the other end of the buffet, no queues there)

The harbour, waterfront, shopping streets and main attractions were all at most 20 mins walk away in different directions (except Perlan which was 30-40 mins). I didn't have to use any transport apart from going on tours

I got a bus from the airport to there and caught two different buses for tours to the golden circle and the northern lights as well. As a solo traveller this was perfect as there was nothing to worry about

There was also a free shuttle bus there to Grandi area. There were numerous restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bars in close proximity. You didn't really need to go very far after a long day out

The service at the hotel was excellent. Friendly and professional staff. Always someone available with a smile. The cleaning staff were extremely polite. My room was super comfortable

Hotel is in a great location (close to bus stop 5 which you'll get why knowing bus stop numbers is ideal as this is where you wait for yours to pick up or bus to the airport)

Breakfast is good and close to harbour means nice views. Just come with an idea of spending more than you think as that is how Iceland is! Blue Lagoon is a must

The room facilities are complete and the space is quite large. It's very close to the pier, making it a great choice if you're planning a whale-watching trip

The only thing was the shower is the room wasn’t working at its best, only the one showerhead was working. In the area there isn’t a lot so you have to drive. Overall though the hotel was very peaceful and relaxing

Other than that we had a great stay, the pull out bed for our daughter was far more comfortable than the one in others we’d stayed in. The staff were lovely and very accommodating

Highly recommend! We stayed in one of the rooms with the private hot tubs. The room was very spacious and well laid out. The rooms were very clean and so was the hotel

The only negative I can say is that the shower was really tight, the two doors don’t really work well

Otherwise the room was pretty standard size, squeezy for 3 people, would be fine for 2. Didn't manage to try the hot tub as it was full with patrons. Do not forget the complimentary drinks, Cheers!

Stayed here for one night before a glacier tour. It’s the closest hotel to the meeting point for the tours. The rooms are spacious, beds comfy, the food at the restaurant was INCREDIBLE! Especially the beef tenderloin

Absolutely perfect! The hotel offers an aurora service, and we witnessed a massive aurora display right outside the hotel entrance! The cleanliness was also excellent, and the beds in the standard room could be pulled apart

The best hotel near to the Glacier. The sauna and hot tub are amazing. The receptionist is very welcoming. Coffee ans tea are so delicious. Would come back.

They provided a surplus of clean towels and a very nice area to dry off indoors. The rooms had huge windows facing the ocean for a great sunrise view. We ate at the restaurant here at 6pm and were amazed by the food

The hotel's location is excellent. It has hot springs, a sauna, and even an aurora wake-up service, which is a really nice touch.

We enjoyed our one night stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing Iceland vacation place to stay. It was one of the only hotels available in this small town so you may have no other option

Breakfast each morning was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the hotel’s happy hour at the bar — ring the bell for service. There’s also a cozy spa and a small gym available for guests (exercise bikes and dumbbells)

If you’re joining guided tours, Bus Stop #6 is only a three-minute walk away, which made everything incredibly convenient. The staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, always happy to help

Free parking is available along the residential edges of the city center and at a free lot near the church, and with the Easy Park app, managing parking was simple

I stayed for 13 days, room 305. I felt so much at home I didnt want to leave. Location, can't really beat it, the sushi across the street was to die for

But believe me the calm that prevails over this hotel makes everyone relax and the three of us will come home relaxed and calm after the wonderful two nights we had here and the best thing is that most everything is within walking distance 🤗

A small patio with a couple of chairs and a table was part of the room. The breakfast was also very good, and it was an extra plus to have a pool at the back of the hotel, free for all guests to use

I also liked the surroundings with Reykjadalur, The Geothermal Park and several cafes and restaurants, grocery store and gas station nearby. We ate at The Greenhouse, which was easy and good

It does not feel like a standard hotel because it is a dorm used as a hotel during summer - which is perfectly fine! When I had an issue with my room the manager helped me out great and went above and beyond what he was supposed to do! Thank you

I was a bit worried initially from some of the bad reviews but actually pleasantly surprised. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Yes it’s a university building some time of the year but actually really good

This property was conveniently located to shops and restaurants. There was onsite paid parking. Only downfall was that the garage opens at 7am.

There is a tourist information shop a couple of minutes up from the hotel on the same side which was a huge help👍🏻 Also, the number 9 bus stop is where you will pick up any trips you’ve booked while staying at the Alda hotel

The spa was wonderful, the standard room was roomy, breakfast tasted great, and there was a happy hour at the bar, but most importantly, the service was excellent, the team was very nice and helpful! Our dog felt great at the hotel, The only thing that could use some improvement is the menu; it’s a bit limited in options and the prices are on the higher side

Beds comfy but would prefer cotton rather than towelling sheets but that’s a personal preference not a negative. Great little spa with 2 outdoor hot tubs. Bonus was catching northern lights on two of the nights

Really lovely hotel. Everything great, only downside was the location. We hadn’t realised how far out it was from everything. Great for seeing northern lights but at least a 2 hour drive to lots of the popular sights.

Hotel was clean and nice. Location is 1.5hr away to Vik etc but was a great stop for us coming down from the north. Didn’t manage to see any aurora here as the weather was cloudy.

We stayed here on Christmas and had Christmas dinner in the hotel restaurant. Prices in Iceland are really expensive, but it is still important to fill your stomach. The room was standard and the staff was very nice.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are ever travelling to Reykjavík, and here’s why. Arrival: When you arrive, you are welcomed into a warm and quiet atmosphere

Rooms: Upon entering the room, you are greeted with comfortable, tidy beds (depending on how many guests are staying) and a neatly kept bathroom with all the essentials, including: A shower Plenty of towels Toilet paper Soaps Next to the bed is a bedside table with a convenient iPhone charging lamp, which is very easy to use — you simply place your phone against the X-shaped holder

Around four metres in front of the beds, there is a tray with tea, coffee, sugar, and similar items, along with a mini fridge. A mirror is placed near the bed, although I felt it could have been cleaned a little better

Service: The breakfast area offers a paid buffet breakfast in the mornings, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bar also has a happy hour, which I believe runs from 5pm to 6pm, offering both drinks and food

The reception desk is on the left, with comfortable sofas and seating directly in front of you. The reception staff are very helpful and assisted us with directions to get into downtown Reykjavík

Depending on the room size, there is also a table and chair, which is ideal for reading or relaxing. A modern, high-tech telephone is also provided in the room

But all these negatives are only really bothersome if one uses the room for an extended time: if you are able to leave to eat somewhere else and don't plan on sitting for hours in your room - then it is a perfect retreat to clean up and get some rest between two adventure-filled days

Seldom to leave a comment, but my stay was Superb at the Storm hotel! Firstly - The hotel is located right next to the major bus stop #12 where many tours pick up/drop off there, it’s such a convenient location

Secondly - Very clean, warm and spacious hotel room, with very helpful staff members. In fact, I left my item at the hotel after checking out and only realized it after a few days

Location is perfect with the 12 bus stop right outside the hotel. Less than a minute walk to the harbour and the high street. Highly recommend this hotel

Excellent hotel stay overall from a UK and HK travellers. Clean room, nice shower and bathroom, housekeeping was very tidy. Very good location close to the city centre and BSI bus terminal was 25 mins walk away

Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional and service was great. A good selection of different options for breakfast also. We were even treated to the northern light which I was able to see from my bedroom window!

A great place to stay the night after the glacier tours. A very modern hotel that feels like a fortress. Directly across the street from the geysir. Rooms are sizable and the restaurant is good

We stayed at this hotel the first night on our Iceland trip. An easy drive from the airport and in a great location. The rooms were really nice and an excellent shower

Can’t say enough good things about our stay here. We arrived in the evening in the snow which was a nice surprise! We got checked in and were able to snag a reservation at the on-site restaurant right away

Booking two months in advance costs 487 yuan more than booking last minute, so don't book too early. There are plenty of rooms available, so you don't have to worry about not having a place to stay.
