Absolutely everything about our stay at Stóru-Laugar was wonderful! We enjoyed chatting with our hosts and learning a bit about their farm life.
This location was very quiet and the view was beautiful. The room was spacious and so clean. I was disappointed I could not spend another night and just take in the peacefulness of the surroundings.
A nice place to stop between Mývatn, Godafoss and Husavik. The room was comfortable with big windows ( second floor) good hot water and very nice breakfast.
Excellent place . Nice room clean and comfortable good size and the view from the hot baths is fantastic to sit . Excellent breakfast as well. One of the best places we have stayed in Iceland
Pleasantly surprised by its cleanliness and variety of breakfast spreads in this guesthouse. Lady managing reception could be more welcoming though Great value for money.
We were very pleased with this place. Very warm and cozy, friendly staff. They have a Hot Tube, included in the price of accommodation. Breakfast is standard, but the pancakes are very tasty, they do not have time to fry them, they eat everything 😅 I would like to stay longer.

Hotel room was good for the night. This space was very clean and close by to the town. The heated floors are a nice touch. Last minute we decided to try the breakfast buffet. For the price you t might be better to get some pastries or a sandwich at the local gas station as the selection of food was very limited.
This adorable restaurant is set in the most idyllic location on a working farm, with gorgeous views of Lake Mývatn. It’s a must-visit for us whenever we are anywhere near North Iceland. Tucked inside a cozy converted cowshed (which is exactly as charming as it sounds), the restaurant specializes in fresh, farm-to-table, homemade local food, including smoked lamb, smoked trout, homemade cheese, homemade...
After almost 10 years of living nearby went there for the first time with my son. It is very lovely restaurant on the country side with amazing views and cows which were visible through the window. It is also possible to go inside the cows barn and pet them. Altough my son was to affraid to pet them I find this experience super good. The food and service also top class. One of the best lamb I have...
A lovely stay. Big yet cozy room. We also had dinner there, everything was terrific - even the arctic char was something special. And we got to see the northern lights.
A lovely stay. Big yet cozy room, spacey for iceland standard. The food is very good - very generous breakfast spread. We also had dinner there, everything was terrific - even the arctic char! The smoked Lamb was something special 🥰
Went for some food at the restaurant. Everything came out quickly and was delicious. The menu had enough options for any person eating there. We got the beef burger, thr vogafós Special, and a happy marriage cake. All items for the special was light and delicious. The salad is made with kale. There is a little gift shop there. The wool is really nicely made. And you can go in and see the cows on their...

Friendly and helpful staff. Help us call a taxi when we are in need. Very good.
Good service, convenient location right next to bus stop 12. Lucky to see northern lights right outside the hotel!
Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe. I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik...
Rooms were clean and modern, ours had a L'or coffee machine in which I liked but there was no milk so my husband (who prefers milky coffee) didn't use this. There was no room temperature control. We did open the small window in the room but were still too hot. Rain shower was good. There were toiletries in the room and also a recycling bin. Plenty of cubby holes for clothes. Mini fridge. Large safe...
A typical tourist hotel. Located in Reykjavik very close to the bay. The rooms are clean an well equipped with a clean bathroom and toilet. The room is heated centrally so you cannot regulate it yourself. We were here in February and it was always nice warm in the room. Maybe too warm in the night, but you can easily sleep without the duvet. The restaurant downstairs as well as the beer garden are...
This is right off the waterfront, close to all things. You can walk right down to the city center or to the waterfront. Also a great place. If you're gonna take a tour bus to see the northern lights. They do have a little convenience center too. For picking up snacks, the rooms did have a small mini fridge. Everything was very clean. We were pleased great aesthetics. There's a bar and a restaurant

Stay here twice. 2nd best hotel in our 10-days Iceland trip.
Best! Staffs very helpful, especially Geogrey, he is really very good helping us when we missed our tour one morning. Room size is good! Bathroom is best! Highly recommended.
Everything was great except for the slightly out-of-the-way location. The facilities were complete, breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive and enthusiastic.
This is my first time visiting Iceland, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample room and a big, cozy bathroom. The reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Iceland in the future.
The hotel is located in what's arguably the most popular area for hotels in Iceland. It's about a 10-minute drive to the harbor, museums, and shopping spots. The rooms are quite spacious, but the bed was a bit too soft for my liking.
Had a great stay at this hotel. The booking was meant to be for a twin room but initially was given a double. After a bit of searching the staff managed to sort out a twin room for us. On checking out I'd left my Bluetooth headphones in the room. E-mailed the hotel and the headphones had been found and were posted back to me at my expense. Would definitely recommend

Great! Excellent location, nice ambiance, and good facilities too.
They said they'd provide a breakfast box, but I didn't receive one. I guess they forgot.
We had a great stay. Very attentive staff and Elenor made our checkin very smooth and answered all our questions. Perfect location to see the city. Rooms are clean and spacious. Would definitely stay there if we got back to Reykjavík. We also drove ten mins to the lighthouse and saw the best view of northern lights!
The location is great and convenient especially for us who booked the day tours and it’s 4-5min walk to bus stop 4. Especially the receptionist Rica is really kind and helpful and she generously offered us an upgraded. And we do appreciate the CNY greetings both from the reception but also for the card with orange. Also as my hubby’s birthday is during the stay, I asked months before if birthday...
From the moment you arrive, The Reykjavik EDITION sets the tone: understated luxury, cool Nordic design, and a calm confidence that makes you instantly feel at home. The ambience is effortlessly stylish — modern yet warm, with clean lines, beautiful materials, and a subtle buzz in the lobby and bar that makes it feel alive without ever being loud. It strikes that rare balance between boutique intimacy...
A once-in-a-lifetime trip made more meaningful and charming by world-leading staff and service. We messaged ahead and told them that we were on our honeymoon. Very good hotel! a bit walk to city center but it s very good walking along way very nice!
The hotel is very close to the city center, especially since we rented a car, and there are plenty of supermarkets and shops nearby. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious dinner, and the breakfast is surprisingly rich, even offering instant noodles!
The hotel parking lot is very large.

I stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't fault anything with this hotel. The location was fantastic. A short 3 minute walk to bus stop 1 at the city hall. I got a bus from the airport to there and caught two different buses for tours to the golden circle and the northern lights as well. As a solo traveller this was perfect as there was nothing to worry about. There was also a free shuttle bus there...
Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Location is perfect for exploring Reykjavik. But the price you pay for the central location is it is very noisy at night until the early hours of the morning. We also appeared to have construction work being carried out in rooms above us, starting at 9am. Perfect if you're there for the nightlife but not if you're hoping to get some sleep
My friend and I had two large suitcases, and we could both lay them flat – the room was really spacious and comfortable. The only minor thing was that the duvet was a bit small, even for a woman, but it was very clean. Overall, very satisfied!
The hotel is nice but I felt it was a bit budget for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff. The tap was loose in the bathroom. In the bathroom of my room the sink area was too small. The nightclub opposite the hotel can shaker the room with us bass. It is also in the center of Reykjavik so expect high traffic of people and cars creating noise. I personally was okay with it but it would have been...
It was just okay, not worth the price. There are definitely better options out there.

Comfortable hotel a short walk from the city center. The room we had was big, with a lovely bed, a bathroom that was clean and spacious enough and all facilities you might need. The breakfast buffet was good, as long as you stay away from the waffle irons and the espresso machine if you have only a short amount of time (they have very tasty filter coffee at the other end of the buffet, no queues there...
Lovely hotel with great facilities including a wonderful spa (extra cost for standard guests). Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms reasonably spacious. Buffet breakfast was excellent and worth paying that bit extra. Its location is however a fair walk out of town (and beyond the bus station). We coped because we’re happy to walk, but there’s a lot of construction going on in the area,...
We paid an upgrade to a twin superior and had early access to the room which we were grateful for, following an early flight. Twin superior room was spacious, coffee machine, fridge and kettle provided, bathroom was great. Really comfy beds. Staff were fantastic and breakfast was superb, loads of choice. Would thoroughly recommend.
Average good. No pedestrian way from BSI station
A good stay overall! A nice hotel just on the outskirts of town. Nice foyer area and the room itself was clean and good. Reception staff were okay without being exceptional. Shower water was slow to run away.

The hotel is really well located. The staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is awesome. The only concern is that the hotel has no dedicated parking but that’s something we were aware of before booking. Found closeby street parking!
Brilliant hotel, great location close enough to centre to walk in (5-10 mins to bars and restaurants) but easy enough to park closeby to. Room was a good size and hotel had a really nice ambience aswell as a good coffee shop underneath. Only downside was we didn’t realise under 12s couldn’t use the spa facilities at any time which was disappointing.
Had a great experience at this hotel, it’s in an ideal location just by the old harbour, easy walking into the city or to the harbour for darker skies! Room was very clean and modern, had everything we needed. Odd review we were told a 4 Star hotel. Rooms smaller than a travel lodge with IKEA type basic furniture. Concrete ceilings. This could be Icelandic style minimalist but not what we thought. Chose Cabin for our last night in Iceland, primarily because of the shuttle bus to the airport, but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The front desk staff made check-in a breeze, and they even used a translation app on their phone if there were any English communication difficulties. Although the room was small, it was very cozy. The location is also fantastic, right by the sea, just 100 meters...
Extremely affordable hotel in reykjavik with a convenient carpark. Unfortunately the room wasn't very big and had no kettle. There is a very convenient kronan walking distance from the hotel.
Location is good have supermarket nearby.
The biggest plus of this hotel is its direct access to the airport bus. It's also quite convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the bus stop for all day tours. Across the street, there's a public bus that goes directly to Rainbow Street, the Cathedral, and other places, costing around 38 RMB (about 38RMB by credit card) per ride. Just a 5-minute walk to the left from the hotel entrance, there's a fairly...
Great location. clean room. perfect for couples.

Great location. The staff were rally friendly and welcoming. My room was perfect and very warm and cosy. There is a spa but I didn't use it. The food is the restaurant is excellent and I recommend a visit there.
Well located, the main turistic street in Rekyavik starts right in front of the hotel. The hotel is cosy, with good size rooms and refreshed. The breakfast is great as well and the restaurant is open also for lunch and dinner. The SPA is lovely has two warm tubs and a saun and a small gym I.
We stayed at Midgardur by Center Hotels during a Lesbifriends Travel group trip to Iceland and found it to be a solid, comfortable base in Reykjavik. Beautiful modern and clean hotel in the center of Reykjavik. Everything is walking distance from here. Absolutely beautiful. In front of the hotel there is a beautiful record store, if you like music you might get lost in there. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is great. Next time I will stay longer. Thank you Silvia for the smooth and quick check in.
Fantastic hotel right in the centre of town! Close to all the bus stops for tour pick ups and loads of nice places to eat. Staff are super friendly and the room was clean and large for a city centre hotel. Spa facilities were a great added bonus! 10/10 would definitely stay again.
This hotel offers great value for money, especially considering how expensive things are in Iceland. We stayed for a week and it only cost us about 2500 per person. This was one of the better hotels I stayed at during my trip to Iceland. The environment was clean and tidy, and the room was quite spacious. The female front desk staff's attitude towards Asians was a bit indifferent, while the male staff was very enthusiastic; the difference in attitude was quite noticeable. There was free water in the room.
The front desk team delivered outstanding service. When our airport driver was running late, they promptly assisted us in getting in touch with him and even offered to arrange an alternative driver to ensure we wouldn’t miss our flight. The front desk staff were very helpful and advised us where to park our car. The hotel doesn't have its own parking space. We had to park at any space available at the narrow lane in front of the hotel. Room is clean and well renovated. It is spacious too.
If you want to be in the old harbor area this is the spot. Great staff, very much my kind of place and interesting non chain vibe. Lots of Construction close by and across from us a ship was being repaired so the Old Harbor still has some authenticity but most of it. It’s been turned over to tourist attractions. Was there in Winter but I suspect. in the summer, the place would be very busy.
After being whisked away to Iceland for a 'special' birthday the 4 nights we had here were great. The hotel is ideally situated, just out of the main hustle and bustle, easily reached by a 5-10 minute walk, even being so close to a working port it was really quiet (the engineers working on the ship on the slipway didn't start work until after 8!) I did have the free breakfast with my stay and was very happy with the offerings. It’s location in my opinion was perfect and the neighborhood was very walkable, with many places to shop and eat including a grocery store around the corner...
It would be better if there is hot chocolate provided in the breakfast, the heating in the room was unstable
Lots of nearby shops and restaurants to walk to, and a Bonus grocery store is just around the corner. ATMs are also close by. The bar has relatively affordable drinks considering how expensive alcohol at the bars are. The staff was great: helpful and courteous. The rooms get pretty hot with the heat running but you can crack open a small window in the room. Showers have adjustable height shower heads
The room size was decent, much better than what you'd find in popular European cities. The location is convenient, it's about a 30-minute walk to the cathedral or the pier.
We've been there for only one night. It was very clean The. stuff was very friendly. There was free excellent breakfast. After we checked out there was a dedicated place to leave the luggage because our flight was a few hours later. There was also a place to rest until your flight.

its big. the nights we were there the kitchen area turned into a lot of fun. A bunch of people trying to cook in, and have a few drinks to save money turned into a big group out on the town.
Probably the cheapest accommodation in whole Iceland and the equipment is accordingly. The rooms consisted of concrete floor, 4 walls, one jacket rack and beds. No table, no chair and nothing else. This is fine though, since you get what you pay for. The comon area is spacious and the kitchen has everything that you need for simple meals. Also the location is decent and only a 15 minute walk from the...
Took this photo in the lobby on my vacation a few months ago. Tried to figure it out who it was. Took me a minute but that's Eddie Sparks. The guy who found anonymous in the US. He's super famous in tech. Hotel was nice with the bar and outside area with roof access too.

The hotel's location is convenient, but they don't have triple rooms. There are good restaurants downstairs or nearby. There's a car park, but only small cars can safely fit; larger cars might not make it.
Nice contemporary hotel in the city center Burger shop + bakery downstairs, very convenient
A fantastic and modern hotel on the harbour in Reykjavik. Everything is brilliant. A particular highlight was the food at the bakery and the Le Kock restaurant. Our room was really modern and had everything we needed. Try a doughnut at the bakery! Careful with the downstairs park, it’s pretty tight!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Exeter Hotel in Reykjavík, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service from Czarek at the front desk. From the moment we met him, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Every time we approached him with a question or needed recommendations, he went above and beyond with patience and kindness. He didn’t just do his...
We stayed at the Exeter over the New Year and had a fantastic time. The staff were amazing and helped make our once-in-a-lifetime trip all the more magical. The hotel is located right next to the harbor, with plenty of local museums nearby. It's a perfect base if you intend to 'city crawl' around Reykjavik or catch tour buses to attractions in the countryside. The breakfast is definitely worth adding...
The hotel was amazing! The rooms were very clean, tidy, and beautifully designed. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us every day. The lobby felt super cozy with its lovely Christmas decorations, we really enjoyed spending time there as a group. It was also extremely convenient to have a bar, restaurant, and bakery all in the same building. The location was perfect...

I was pleasantly surprised.  The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Reykjavik.  It is within walking distance  to shops and restaurants.  The transportation service to airport was added benefit.  I highly recommend this hotel
This hotel had the nicest staff I encountered during my trip. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very professional. Their warm attitude made me feel comfortable and cared for. I really loved staying here and would happily come back again.
We were really pleased with our stay here both times we've visited. Julia, Victoria and the staff there were unfailingly polite and helpful. The building we stayed in was well appointed and super convenient to everything we wanted to do. The only challenge here is parking, but it's possible if you pay attention. Plan ahead if you have folks in your party who have accessibility concerns.
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Residence Apartment Hotel. The location in downtown was very convenient for walking to see many of the main attractions. The room was smallish but very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for dining options and activities. The breakfast was very good, especially the fresh baked bread delivered to your door every morning...
This apartment-style hotel provided us with a cozy stay for our week in Reykjavik. The setup is quite unique too, as the hotel is divided among several different buildings (we were in “Printing Press”) and the reception area also stands independently in its own building. Our room was perfect for the four of us, providing a very spacious setting between two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen area and...
After a bit of maneuvering around Street construction received a Wonderful greeting from the receptionist and a short walk to our beautiful room. Located so nearby to the Main Street with amazing food and fun shopping for cute souvenirs. Very walkable to the aesthetically please church, thoughtful garden art museum and charismatic Rainbow Road. Our standard room had a small kitchenette with fridge...
