Great! Excellent location, nice ambiance, and good facilities too.
We also drove ten mins to the lighthouse and saw the best view of northern lights!
Also as my hubby’s birthday is during the stay, I asked months before if birthday decorations is available and eventually got a birthday cake and a card but with wrong name lol
The facility (needs to turn off the lights one by one instead of all-in-one) and hygine situation is not that good in terms of the 5-star hotel
(Hair in the sheet cover and the toilet)(no clean up for the desserts)
The tides restaurant and cafe is good and worth trying with ISK 7000 credit for the restaurant
Sweet, attentive, and exceptionally well trained, they combine professionalism with genuine warmth. You feel welcomed, not processed. Every interaction — from check-in to restaurant service — reflects care and precision
Very attentive staff and Elenor made our checkin very smooth and answered all our questions. Perfect location to see the city. Would definitely stay there if we got back to Reykjavík
The hotel is very close to the city center, especially since we rented a car, and there are plenty of supermarkets and shops nearby
The restaurant downstairs serves delicious dinner, and the breakfast is surprisingly rich, even offering instant noodles!
We loved staying at the Hilton Nordica! The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and cozy. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast there was the best we had in the entire country
Great place to stay and enjoyed both the sauna and gym facilities a lot~
This business trip was quite comfortable; the service was excellent, and the overall experience was great.
Great facility, free parking, good size room, clean, less than 10 mins drive to the city center.
The location is excellent, providing easy access to downtown Reykjavik. Crucially for tour planning, Bus Stop 12 is right outside the door for convenient trip pick-ups
Friendly and helpful staff. Help us call a taxi when we are in need. Very good.
Good service, convenient location right next to bus stop 12. Lucky to see northern lights right outside the hotel!
Tge front desk staff, he gave me suggestions and helped me book the show ticket. He gave me clear instructions and seeing my lost look , even gave me the hootel phone numbers to call him in case I run into trouble
Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe
I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik
Small bar and restuarant but always plenty of room when I stay there
A good breakfast can be had, to fuel your day. The flybus drops off and picks up from this location
Stay here twice. 2nd best hotel in our 10-days Iceland trip.
Best! Staffs very helpful, especially Geogrey, he is really very good helping us when we missed our tour one morning. Room size is good! Bathroom is best! Highly recommended.
Everything was great except for the slightly out-of-the-way location. The facilities were complete, breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive and enthusiastic.
This is my first time visiting Iceland, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample room and a big, cozy bathroom
The reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Iceland in the future
We also ate in the bar one night, chose the burger, which was one of the best I've ever had!
The staff were all very helpful and friendly throughout our stay
We were moved to a smaller room with a different type of shower after being told that the room would be the same as what we had before. Overall the stay was good and the location made up for the discrepancy
Great options for buffet breakfast (included). Rooms are small but there are plenty of open communal spaces throughout the hotel. You can borrow a portable record player and records for your room if you like
Rooms were very comfortable, with everything you need and although small we had absolutely no issues with this. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty to choose from
Great option to grab-and-go food across from reception area. Help yourself honour system in place - let the reception know what you pick out to add to your room
Beds and pillows were comfortable. Great location from all the Reykjavík sites
Great location. The staff were rally friendly and welcoming. My room was perfect and very warm and cosy. There is a spa but I didn't use it. The food is the restaurant is excellent and I recommend a visit there.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe of the hotel felt welcoming without being overly formal. It struck a good balance between functionality and comfort, which worked well for our audience
Well located, the main turistic street in Rekyavik starts right in front of the hotel. The hotel is cosy, with good size rooms and refreshed
Beautiful modern and clean hotel in the center of Reykjavik. Everything is walking distance from here. In front of the hotel there is a beautiful record store, if you like music you might get lost in there
Fantastic hotel right in the centre of town! Close to all the bus stops for tour pick ups and loads of nice places to eat. Staff are super friendly and the room was clean and large for a city centre hotel
The location is very convenient, close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, and pick up points for tours, but still felt calm and manageable for a group
Excellent hotel. Room is big in Icelandic standard. Excellent breakfast with ample options. Staffs who went out of their way to provide assistance. Best hotel stayed in Iceland.
Excellent location, friendly reception, great breakfast, clean and comfortable room. Go for the breakfast, they are great. You don’t find breakfast outside early in the morning
The room was a bit small, and the value for money was slightly low, but it was clean, parking was good, and the staff were friendly
Even if you do, those from the hotel are of good value
Fantastic hotel 100/100
-Great location (city center + everything nearby, and also **not** noisy/loud at night; can also walk there from BSI Terminal)
-Super room (Superior Room, was great, slept soo well)
-Delicious Breakfast with English Breakfast, Iceland Food (Fish Skye), Pastry and Fresh Fruit
The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the city center. It's also close to bus stations #2 and #3, which is great for catching local tour buses.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, definitely recommended!
Probably one of the good price-to-quality ratio accommodations near the airport. Just wished they had an actual shuttle to the hotel.
One of the reasons I booked this place is because it is listed with airport transfer: however, once booked, I was informed there is no such service and to take a taxi. This costs $40 for a 7 min ride
Clean but very small room. Window was rusted and could not be fully closed. Would be nice to have a few more shelves/racks. Excellent early breakfast for early flights.
Quaint little add-on to the luxurious hotel which helped us feel welcome. Breakfast is worth the extra money. Great selection of food in the Bistro. The spa is phoneomenal and reasonably priced
had things I had never heard of before, very very relaxing
The room is simple and plain, fine for a night's stay
Perfect for an airport stop off. The rooms are big, cosy and spotlessly clean. Groceries and snacks available at reception. Restaurant open until 21:30 for dinner has a good atmosphere
Overall, it's pretty good, but the room lighting is really dark, and it gets cold at night. For some reason, the heating just stopped working...
Perfect hotel for a stopover before flying. Close proximity to hire car drop off points. Easily connected by bus service from the airport. Free Airport transfer is super helpful
Using words from my mouth I was able to ask for an extra pillow at reception, no need to leave a bad review for that!Rooms large and comfortable
Only negative was the temperature in the shower was a bit hit and miss
It's just a few hundred meters walk, super convenient. My friend booked there and could totally sleep in an extra half hour. I only found out when it was too late to change my reservation, which was a bummer
She was a true New Year’s elf 🎄✨: incredibly kind, professional, and always there when needed. What she did for me felt like a little miracle and made my holiday even more special
As the first hotel of my Iceland trip, the overall experience was quite good. Because I checked in at around 8 AM on August 4th, the front desk almost wouldn't let me check in, as I had to check out at 11 AM
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. I celebrated New Year’s here, and it was truly a wonderful experience that left me with very warm memories
We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was well prepared and staffed. The drinks were nice and the food was yummy. The tv was nice in the room and the shower as well. We also had breakfast included with our stay
It was a SPREAD! Pancakes, eggs, scrambled hardboiled and rolled. All kinds of fruit and coffees. Even ramen and a noodle bar! Salume and cheese, veggies and cereals. Just a nicely done hotel breakfast
My friends and I were unexpectedly upgraded to 2 spacious rooms. We had a nice relaxed meal in the bistro. A taxi was booked for an early flight the hotel is well positioned to get to the airport
The harbour, waterfront, shopping streets and main attractions were all at most 20 mins walk away in different directions (except Perlan which was 30-40 mins). I didn't have to use any transport apart from going on tours
The service at the hotel was excellent. Friendly and professional staff. Always someone available with a smile. The cleaning staff were extremely polite. My room was super comfortable
There was also a free shuttle bus there to Grandi area. There were numerous restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bars in close proximity. You didn't really need to go very far after a long day out
It helped a lot when it’s raining. Only downside was the breakfast started @ 7 am which is bit late for early travelers, so the breakfast area was packed in the early morning
I stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't fault anything with this hotel. A short 3 minute walk to bus stop 1 at the city hall
I got a bus from the airport to there and caught two different buses for tours to the golden circle and the northern lights as well. As a solo traveller this was perfect as there was nothing to worry about
The sauna and relaxation areas are not huge, but offer a nice opportunity to unwind after a long day out in the cold weather. The staff are friendly and happy to help with eating suggestions and deals available
The location is excellent, within walking distance to the city's popular attractions, restaurants, cafes, etc. The room is relatively small, but comfortable. The bathroom is relatively small, especially the wash basin
Breakfast is good and close to harbour means nice views. Just come with an idea of spending more than you think as that is how Iceland is!
Blue Lagoon is a must
The hotel's hygiene is good, and it's super close to Boss Zhu's restaurant, highly recommended!
Great stay good location very central to get to places in the city.
Pretty good, oceanfront with Northern Lights views.
The breakfast buffet was good, as long as you stay away from the waffle irons and the espresso machine if you have only a short amount of time (they have very tasty filter coffee at the other end of the buffet, no queues there)
Stayed one night here with my wife. The rooms are comfy, staff are friendly. We also ate at the breakfast buffet which was good. The spa is amazing and worth the money. We wouldn't mind staying here again
Lovely hotel with great facilities including a wonderful spa (extra cost for standard guests). Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Buffet breakfast was excellent and worth paying that bit extra
A good stay overall! A nice hotel just on the outskirts of town. Nice foyer area and the room itself was clean and good. Reception staff were okay without being exceptional. Shower water was slow to run away.
Average good. No pedestrian way from BSI station
Its location is however a fair walk out of town (and beyond the bus station). We coped because we’re happy to walk, but there’s a lot of construction going on in the area, which made part of the walk a difficult one
A good option in the middle of nowhere! Great breakfast that was included in the hotel fee. But dinner was too pricey. Lovely views from a beautiful deck. Comfortable rooms. 3-person.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The bedrooms were comfortable and a good size and the breakfast was good. They allowed us to store some bits in their fridge which was great
Great experience!
Me and my girlfriend stayed two night at Laki Hotel and everything was nice. Good breakfast, nice and tidy room, friendly and polite staff
We've stayed here only for one night. The place is nice, the rooms were clean and spacious, they have a nice restaurant and bar - good service and good drinks. The view from the terrace was impressive
What a great hotel! My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our recent trip. It was a perfect mid-way point between Jokulsarlon glacier area and Vik. They had fabulous rooms, dining, and bar experience
But they clearly need to make some improvements for the bathrooms
The only bad thing about this place is that I was only able to stay here 1 night … I had an amazing experience,
the room
Was very spacious and beautiful, great location, but most of all the customers service was over the top ,the young lady at the front desk, Yvette was phenomenal, she went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, made reservations , and gave me great suggestions and recommendations...
The front desk staff were very helpful and advised us where to park our car. The hotel doesn't have its own parking space. We had to park at any space available at the narrow lane in front of the hotel
The rooms are small and do not have a desk but do have a small sofa
Room is clean and well renovated
Good location, receptionist help me a lot by booking my tour and my airport transfer. Great location near to bus stops
After being whisked away to Iceland for a 'special' birthday the 4 nights we had here were great
Room was a good size and hotel had a really nice ambience aswell as a good coffee shop underneath. Only downside was we didn’t realise under 12s couldn’t use the spa facilities at any time which was disappointing
All super clean including lobby and toilets. You will be happy here but expect a more basic room. Good position to walk to Lava Show, Fly Over Iceland,Wales Iceland
The hotel is really well located. The staff is polite and helpful. The only concern is that the hotel has no dedicated parking but that’s something we were aware of before booking. Found closeby street parking!
Brilliant hotel, great location close enough to centre to walk in (5-10 mins to bars and restaurants) but easy enough to park closeby to
Had a great experience at this hotel, it’s in an ideal location just by the old harbour, easy walking into the city or to the harbour for darker skies! Room was very clean and modern, had everything we needed
The breakfast was excellent, great selection of buffet style food, and they also provided an early take away breakfast on the day of our check out
The room was absolutely wonderful! Clean, spacious, and with a stunning view. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we truly enjoyed our stay 🩷 A special mention as well for the restaurant 👌🏻
The room is very clean, the soundproofing and insulation are very good, the dinner is especially delicious, the menu is very rich, the lamb and daily chef recommendations are excellent, it is the first choice in a small town in southern Iceland
Beautiful little, well equiped cabins in a lovely setting. I had to call as stuck in a snow storm/ whiteout and thought we were going to be late to book in. I would definitely come again
Having your own little cottage with great aesthetics, lake view out of 1 wall of glass, and wild horses in your backyard is amazing! The rooms were very nicely appointed and modern
Breakfast is very great and the landowners are very friendly. We were actually living at the Landbrot Guesthouse, but have the free breakfast offered by the owner there at Magma.
Heating was more than adequate. Food was good too, but can be improved. Staff were helpful and friendly
The best hotel near to the Glacier. The sauna and hot tub are amazing. The receptionist is very welcoming. Coffee ans tea are so delicious. Would come back.
The hotel's location is excellent. It has hot springs, a sauna, and even an aurora wake-up service, which is a really nice touch.
Beautiful hotel in a stunning surrounding. Breakfast and dinner were good. However they charge fine dining prices which is too much and did not feel right
Stayed here for one night before a glacier tour. It’s the closest hotel to the meeting point for the tours. The rooms are spacious, beds comfy, the food at the restaurant was INCREDIBLE! Especially the beef tenderloin
They provided a surplus of clean towels and a very nice area to dry off indoors. The rooms had huge windows facing the ocean for a great sunrise view. We ate at the restaurant here at 6pm and were amazed by the food
We enjoyed our one night stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing Iceland vacation place to stay. It was one of the only hotels available in this small town so you may have no other option
I didn't pay for the breakfast because it was ridiculously expensive for what is offered, so don't know if it is good. Overall, a nice hotel in a lovely town
All the tourist attractions are nearby and the town feels lovely with the views upon the sea. I would without a doubt repeat a stay here for sure
The breakfast was out of this world as you can imagine by the pictures. Overall the room could not have been better and the service was on point
A nice hotel conveniently located near restaurants, groceries, and the harbor. Large rooms with private baths
Very nice hotel in a lovely location with great views. The evening meal was good as was the breakfast too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not much in the local town but there is a little restaurant worth a visit
Clean modern rooms. Friendly staff. The restaurant was accommodating when we showed up about 15 minutes before closing, good food.
You can see the sea from the double room window! It's very convenient to walk to anywhere! The room design is Balinese style, the toiletries are very useful, the fish salad fried chicken for dinner is delicious, it's the first time to have sweet and sour fish, and I'm super satisfied when I return to the hotel hungry after a day trip! Free coffee is provided all day, the service attitude of the staff...
This hotel has a Thai style. I stayed for 4 nights. It is clean and has no odor. It is cleaned every day. I am very satisfied. Free coffee and tea are available all day long. It is good.
The breakfast was great, and the location was excellent – just a 10-minute walk to the main attractions. The hotel was spotless, and the service was excellent!
The room size was decent, though the facilities were a bit dated. The service was excellent, and the location was convenient.
We were not disappointed by the Eyja Guldsmeden. The location was only a few blocks away from downtown where there were tons of shopping and dining options, and the hotel itself was beautiful
Airport transfer bus, Northern Lights and other activities buses, drop off and pick up in front of the hotel, no need to wait at bus stop.
Supermarket near by, just a few minutes walk
