Friendly and helpful staff. Help us call a taxi when we are in need. Very good.
Good service, convenient location right next to bus stop 12. Lucky to see northern lights right outside the hotel!
Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe. I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik...
Rooms were clean and modern, ours had a L'or coffee machine in which I liked but there was no milk so my husband (who prefers milky coffee) didn't use this. There was no room temperature control. We did open the small window in the room but were still too hot. Rain shower was good. There were toiletries in the room and also a recycling bin. Plenty of cubby holes for clothes. Mini fridge. Large safe...
A typical tourist hotel. Located in Reykjavik very close to the bay. The rooms are clean an well equipped with a clean bathroom and toilet. The room is heated centrally so you cannot regulate it yourself. We were here in February and it was always nice warm in the room. Maybe too warm in the night, but you can easily sleep without the duvet. The restaurant downstairs as well as the beer garden are...
This is right off the waterfront, close to all things. You can walk right down to the city center or to the waterfront. Also a great place. If you're gonna take a tour bus to see the northern lights. They do have a little convenience center too. For picking up snacks, the rooms did have a small mini fridge. Everything was very clean. We were pleased great aesthetics. There's a bar and a restaurant

Stay here twice. 2nd best hotel in our 10-days Iceland trip.
Best! Staffs very helpful, especially Geogrey, he is really very good helping us when we missed our tour one morning. Room size is good! Bathroom is best! Highly recommended.
Everything was great except for the slightly out-of-the-way location. The facilities were complete, breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive and enthusiastic.
This is my first time visiting Iceland, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample room and a big, cozy bathroom. The reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Iceland in the future.
The hotel is located in what's arguably the most popular area for hotels in Iceland. It's about a 10-minute drive to the harbor, museums, and shopping spots. The rooms are quite spacious, but the bed was a bit too soft for my liking.
Had a great stay at this hotel. The booking was meant to be for a twin room but initially was given a double. After a bit of searching the staff managed to sort out a twin room for us. On checking out I'd left my Bluetooth headphones in the room. E-mailed the hotel and the headphones had been found and were posted back to me at my expense. Would definitely recommend

Great! Excellent location, nice ambiance, and good facilities too.
They said they'd provide a breakfast box, but I didn't receive one. I guess they forgot.
We had a great stay. Very attentive staff and Elenor made our checkin very smooth and answered all our questions. Perfect location to see the city. Rooms are clean and spacious. Would definitely stay there if we got back to Reykjavík. We also drove ten mins to the lighthouse and saw the best view of northern lights!
The location is great and convenient especially for us who booked the day tours and it’s 4-5min walk to bus stop 4. Especially the receptionist Rica is really kind and helpful and she generously offered us an upgraded. And we do appreciate the CNY greetings both from the reception but also for the card with orange. Also as my hubby’s birthday is during the stay, I asked months before if birthday...
From the moment you arrive, The Reykjavik EDITION sets the tone: understated luxury, cool Nordic design, and a calm confidence that makes you instantly feel at home. The ambience is effortlessly stylish — modern yet warm, with clean lines, beautiful materials, and a subtle buzz in the lobby and bar that makes it feel alive without ever being loud. It strikes that rare balance between boutique intimacy...
A once-in-a-lifetime trip made more meaningful and charming by world-leading staff and service. We messaged ahead and told them that we were on our honeymoon. Iceland is a unique place on Earth, but almost as surprising as the geology, geography and weather was just how remarkable and excellent this hotel was. Its location was outstanding right in the old city centre and an easy walk to boat trips...

Very good hotel! a bit walk to city center but it s very good walking along way very nice!
The hotel is very close to the city center, especially since we rented a car, and there are plenty of supermarkets and shops nearby. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious dinner, and the breakfast is surprisingly rich, even offering instant noodles!
The hotel parking lot is very large.
Friendly staff, the hotel room is a lil bit old

Great location. The staff were rally friendly and welcoming. My room was perfect and very warm and cosy. There is a spa but I didn't use it. The food is the restaurant is excellent and I recommend a visit there.
Well located, the main turistic street in Rekyavik starts right in front of the hotel. The hotel is cosy, with good size rooms and refreshed. The breakfast is great as well and the restaurant is open also for lunch and dinner. The SPA is lovely has two warm tubs and a saun and a small gym I.
We stayed at Midgardur by Center Hotels during a Lesbifriends Travel group trip to Iceland and found it to be a solid, comfortable base in Reykjavik. The location is very convenient, close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, and pick up points for tours, but still felt calm and manageable for a group. Beautiful modern and clean hotel in the center of Reykjavik. Everything is walking distance from here. Absolutely beautiful. In front of the hotel there is a beautiful record store, if you like music you might get lost in there. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is great. Next time I will stay longer. Thank you Silvia for the smooth and quick check in.
Fantastic hotel right in the centre of town! Close to all the bus stops for tour pick ups and loads of nice places to eat. Staff are super friendly and the room was clean and large for a city centre hotel. Spa facilities were a great added bonus! 10/10 would definitely stay again.
This hotel offers great value for money, especially considering how expensive things are in Iceland. We stayed for a week and it only cost us about 2500 per person. The hotel staff are incredibly efficient; they typically bring whatever you need within five minutes. For example, when we mentioned our room was cold, they immediately brought a heater. The place is nice, especially the Hot Tubs that are included. One main Disapointment was at the breakfast. Their Coffee machine Malfuctioned and they had an additional coffee machine from the bar which is literally at the breakfast buffet, but instead of serving coffee for free for replacement of the malfuctioned one, they were are asking you to pay for your morning coffee which this is unacceptable...
Awsome from 1 to 10 ❤️ I came and had 2 wonderful days with my two children aged 2 and 5 and wow we managed to relax and many would say HA relax alone with two children so young. But believe me the calm that prevails over this hotel makes everyone relax and the three of us will come home relaxed and calm after the wonderful two nights we had here and the best thing is that most everything is within...
The room was too hot and stuffy. The lobster bisque from the in-house restaurant was incredibly salty, and the hotel offered no compensation after we provided feedback.
Excellent breakfast and very clean. Hotel Örk stands out for its excellent breakfast with plenty of variety. The rooms and common areas were very clean and well maintained. A comfortable and pleasant stay overall.
Very nice rooms! Smart tv! Nice bathroom, good breakfast selection!

Comfortable hotel a short walk from the city center. The room we had was big, with a lovely bed, a bathroom that was clean and spacious enough and all facilities you might need. Lovely hotel with great facilities including a wonderful spa (extra cost for standard guests). Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms reasonably spacious. Buffet breakfast was excellent and worth paying that bit extra. Its location is however a fair walk out of town (and beyond the bus station). We coped because we’re happy to walk, but there’s a lot of construction going on in the area,...
We paid an upgrade to a twin superior and had early access to the room which we were grateful for, following an early flight. Twin superior room was spacious, coffee machine, fridge and kettle provided, bathroom was great. Really comfy beds. Staff were fantastic and breakfast was superb, loads of choice. Would thoroughly recommend.
Average good. No pedestrian way from BSI station
A good stay overall! A nice hotel just on the outskirts of town. Nice foyer area and the room itself was clean and good. Reception staff were okay without being exceptional. Shower water was slow to run away.

Quite close to the airport. The room was pretty standard. The restaurant downstairs was decent, the fried fish was good, but I wouldn't recommend the steak.
If you have an early flight it's a good option and just 3km away from airport.
The distance from Keflavik Airport is quite a dilemma. While it's walkable, you'd be walking through a dark, unlit wilderness at night, which can be scary. I'd advise women, children, and the elderly to avoid it. If you opt for a taxi, it takes less than 5 minutes from the airport but costs around 2000 yen, which feels like a waste. The hotel itself is fantastic, as expected from a Marriott property...
It's pretty good overall. The only downside is there's no direct way to get there from the city center; you have to take a taxi.
Compared to the rooms I stayed in Lei City, there's nothing particularly outstanding here. The hotel's 3km distance from the airport is quite inconvenient; it's a long walk without a dedicated sidewalk. Only Marriott members can enjoy the airport shuttle service before 8 AM. After 8 AM, taxis are the only option, and a 3km, 4-minute drive cost over 30 USD. It would have been better to pay a bit more...
This hotel seems very new and is a great location for airport access. The staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. Parking here is free, there is a petrol fill-up right in the parking lot which is easy for returning rental cars. Nice contemporary hotel in the city center Burger shop + bakery downstairs, very convenient
A fantastic and modern hotel on the harbour in Reykjavik. Everything is brilliant. A particular highlight was the food at the bakery and the Le Kock restaurant. Our room was really modern and had everything we needed. Try a doughnut at the bakery! Careful with the downstairs park, it’s pretty tight!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Exeter Hotel in Reykjavík, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service from Czarek at the front desk. Great location, simple, clean room. Walls are a little thin, could hear other doors being opened and closed. There was some space along the street to drop off luggages, hotel recommended a couple of nearby parking garages which were all walkable even in the insane wind. Close to many great restaurants, convenience stores etc.
The location is perfectly situated downtown, the room was well appointed and confortable. The art deco aesthetic is everything! Very hospitable staff, I would definitely come back on my next trip out here.
Our room was clean and well organized, and the bed was very comfortable. It was easy to regulate the heat/cold by simply adjusting the radiators and/or opening the windows. This was one of the better hotels I stayed at during my trip to Iceland. The environment was clean and tidy, and the room was quite spacious. The female front desk staff's attitude towards Asians was a bit indifferent, while the male staff was very enthusiastic; the difference in attitude was quite noticeable. There was free water in the room.
The front desk team delivered outstanding service. When our airport driver was running late, they promptly assisted us in getting in touch with him and even offered to arrange an alternative driver to ensure we wouldn’t miss our flight. Our dog felt great at the hotel, The only thing that could use some improvement is the menu; it’s a bit limited in options...
Hotel was clean and nice. Location is 1.5hr away to Vik etc but was a great stop for us coming down from the north. Didn’t manage to see any aurora here as the weather was cloudy.
Excellent hotel. Staff very helpful and food very good. Rooms were great and views fantastic.
Warm, cosy welcoming hotel with great service. Food was excellent and well presented and good choice of wines. Beds comfy but would prefer cotton rather than towelling sheets but that’s a personal preference not a negative. Great little spa with 2 outdoor hot tubs. Bonus was catching northern lights on two of the nights. Definitely worth staying a great location for exploring.
1. Make sure to walk about the historic sights. So interesting! Lovely little village. 2. The wait staff at the restaurant was so nice! 3. The food at the restaurants wasn’t great — way too salty and seasoned and the vegan option had no protein. Easy location — 2 hours from the airport and the drive was scenic.
Good and quiet. Room is not quite ready as the shampoo & shower gel had ran out and was not replaced. Otherwise, good Fosshotel level of service and rooms. Happy hour from 4-6pm, 900ISK for Gull draft beers. Wine pairing- mega pint of wine served. Haha

Very cozy nordic style hotel. This actually big hotel with sauna and hot tub. Breakfast also great.
We had a great stay at Stracta - the chalet style rooms were not a surprise as we looked through all photos on booking before choosing to stay. The only negative I can say is that the shower was really tight, the two doors don’t really work well. Other than that we had a great stay, the pull out bed for our daughter was far more comfortable than the one in others we’d stayed in. The staff were lovely...
Highly recommend! We stayed in one of the rooms with the private hot tubs. The room was very spacious and well laid out. The rooms were very clean and so was the hotel. The only thing was the shower is the room wasn’t working at its best, only the one showerhead was working. The food was good. In the area there isn’t a lot so you have to drive. Spent 2 nights in Stracta hotel during summer. We were given a room in the outdoor without shelter, so it was quite a hassle when it rained. Good hotel in a great location, close to many interesting places. Rooms clean and reasonably large. Mattresses in bed rather hard for those who like soft beds. Staff helpful.

Stayed 1 night in well located spot very near petrol station, supermarkets and even a 4.8 score restaurant for dinner. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fairly big size. Reception staff was extremely responsive when he spotted us having difficulty opening the main door fighting with strong gusty winds.
We stayed here for 2 nights and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel appeared appealing at first glance, but it fell short on some basic amenities, such as hooks for jackets, railings for the bunk beds in the family room, or simple storage options. A really clean, warm and quiet room with a large TV, fridge, safe, a kettle & decent quality tea & coffee. The bathroom is fine, and the shower flow rate is good. Breakfast is amazing and worth it 👏 & happy hour is also worth taking advantage of. The location is on the outskirts of the very busiest part of downtown Reykjavik, but still central and a stones throw from the ocean walkway. Down points...
Great hotel, the staff super friendly and service is amazing. Just a little nitpick is the placement of the TV position is a little odd. But the room is super spacious and with a little balcony that faces the seaside which makes winter night viewing in Iceland just on another level entierly.
The accommodation seemed old, but it was in good condition. The only downside was that the bathroom didn't drain properly. It's fine for a short overnight stay.
The shower was so tiny; the shower head is not adjustable so my hair got wet every time I got in the shower, the shower curtain clung to my body, and the water got all over the bathroom floor. The blow dryer worked for 60 seconds and then needed to charge for a full minute before using it again. The two single beds pushed together were not comfortable - I could feel the springs; however the pillows...
Near the beach. Caught northern lights just outside hotel opposite the road. Freezing cold, windy but worth all the effort when northern lights appears .
I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and it was my second time here, which really says it all. Once again, everything was excellent from start to finish. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is ideal, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. Having stayed here before, I knew what to expect...

It was very decent and clean for the common areas and facilities, the hot tub were great
Staff was friendly. i paid for the breakfast - got a bag of food including a drink, a bread, an apple, a small box of granola and jam, and a yogurt and a free access to coffee machine - nothing fancy but good enough to feel full and energised. i was pleased to be able to choose the room type (upper beds or lower beds). i particularly enjoyed using the kitchen and the common area as the design was...
Staff were friendly and location is just right in the middle of the city centre. However, there is only one microwave, one kettle and one fridge shared among all people so there might be some waiting time when making food. There is also no stove for cooking, so you can only microwave stuff to eat.
Great value for money! The room has a nice ambiance with adjustable lighting, and the bathroom is spacious enough. Plus, the front desk is open 24/7, and the location is super convenient.
The location of the hotel is very good, and there are hot springs. The public area is clean and cosy.
