Reviews
Apart from that, everything’s great — the kitchen is really impressive.
In Hofn hotel the bath smells. You need to close the bath door and run the fan all night to breath non mold smell.
There are no glasses, the chair is at least 40 years old, and the attitude at the reception is: "take it or leave it".
One tries to reserve dinner, you are told: reservations accepted for 8 people or more. You come to he restaurant, as instructed from the reception and then the guy at the restaurant tells you they had reservations for two months ago so you have no chance to eat with them.
The price you see on these reviews is 30% lower than when you try to book through them or bookings.com.
This is already a feeling of entitlement of the locals that we, the tourists, have to pay 50% more than anywhere in the world for less service.
Never again, Iceland.
The owners were there and very friendly and gave wonderful advice for the rest of our trip. Parking was a breeze and they also had an EV charger which we were able to use on our rental car!
If you are considering visiting this area - you should definitely stay here! We had the best time!
