An amazing place to stay after a long, adventurous day relaxing in the sauna and hot baths is the perfect way to unwind. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options and is a fantastic start to the day. Complimentary coffee, cookies, and fruit available throughout the day are a wonderful bonus. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

We loved this hotel. Lovely staff, and great facilities. Breakfast was great, and hot drinks and juice available all the time. The two hot tubs would have been a great place to watch the northern lights from had it not been cloudy! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Boutique hotel just outside Selfoss in the middle of a picturesque location nestled in the hills. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The sauna and the hot tub are exactly as advertised. Breakfast had a lot of options and they also has some cakes and cookies at all hours in the lobby. Overall very good experience and would definitely come back.

Amazing place, lovely view and best position to visit the south coast .

The place was very clean and very close to Seljalandsfoss - a great place to stay if you’re touring the south coast. Staff was also very helpful - I left my earbud on the bed and they kept it for me to pick it up on our way back to Reykjavik x Only complaint is the drain was quite smelly when we got in. Would be great if the staff could air the toilet a bit before the next guest!

Nice hotel which is reasonably close to the airport. Shuttle service (one way) from the hotel to the airport is a bonus. Too bad there's no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Not sure why. Dinner at the restaurant was good, and is the only dining option available. We didn't see any restaurants within walking distance. Our only complaint is that our room was very warm even with the window opened...

One of best hotel in Golden circle. The hotel have great location which is next to historical church and peaceful surroundings. It great for relaxing and aurora hunting.

We could not been any happier with this hotel. It has matched our expectations. It has a beautiful setting and lovely staff. The grounds, especially the historic church, are well worth seeing. We enjoyed a dinner with local fish and lamb at the restaurant. The breakfast buffet included several options. We loved the beet juice served in small glasses.

The location is fantastic. It's within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops in town. They say they have on-site parking but they do not. You have to park on the street. Some of the street parking is short term, so pay attention to the signs. We had to reschedule the day of arrival and that was no problem. Only bad experience was the terrible vanilla scent in the hallway and a clogged drain in the sink in the bathroom. Great view if the windows were cleaned.

The hotel is located in an isolated position in the countryside near the village of hvosollur. There is a restaurant inside with prices in line with Iceland. In the morning there is an excellent breakfast buffet with sweet and savory. The room was clean and well heated. Great for those who love nature, you need a car to get there.

A lovely continental breakfast with ham & cheese available. Would have preferred bread rolls in addition to bread for toasting, but that's only nit-picking. Cheesy pancakes were lovely. We started the day well.

Efri-Vik overnight We initially reserved a bungalow however on arrival we were upgraded to a hotel room. Breakfast buffet was quite good with many options.

We got upgraded to a nice room at Hotel Laki as the bungalows were closed after summer. The hotel was very swanky, the food options were delicious, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Cozy cabin located just several hundred meters from Hotel Laki. Great breakfast (included). Room was very clean. Hotel staff was great. We appreciated the laundry service offered by the hotel (~$25 USD). We had already been traveling for 8 days, and it felt great to have clean laundry!

Although the cottage looks very ordinary, it is very cozy inside. It is small but well-designed. The bathroom is clean and easy to use. The hotel breakfast is also great. There is a horse farm not far away and the environment is beautiful.

Great location, close to the Bund, just 100m from the metro, and near Yu Garden. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices. Overall, excellent!

Convenient location for our travels, we spent the night at the campground portion. Showers were nice and the kitchen area was nice. However, the washing machine was broke and took a long time to wash our load of laundry.

Nice campground right in town. Heated kitchen area with plenty of tables and a couple of hot plates and sinks. Three showers in an open area with shower curtains. Everything was clean.

The bedroom size is just perfect. The compact kitchen is super helpfull to do a good meal (you can find everything you need there: cutlery, pan, salt, oil, etc). The bedroom has heater inside the toialet and nearby the bed, and it worked normally.

It has all I need, private bathroom, kitchen. There’s grocery stores nearby. And stuff is very nice and helpful!

Overall great stay and cozy room for us… the receptionist greeted us with friendly smile… the hotel has a restaurant next to it and we had our dinner there since there’s no kitchenette for us to prepare our own dinner…

The staff were very friendly. The hotel was a bit dated but it was comfortable and clean. In addition, renovations are underway. Bonus points for the heated bathroom floors. The breakfast was the stand out with eggs and bacon in addition to lunch meats. Worth the price for the value.

At first it was skeptical because the property is under construction. It seems they are adding a few rooms and possibly an elevator. The room was spacious and comfortable. It’s in the middle of a small town with a craft store a short walk away. There is a river walk and a cafe also within walking distance. The rooms and facilities are shared, so it is more of a guesthouse or hostel-style setup rather than a hotel. Average value for money. The owner is quite rude. Her advertisement says you can visit the farm and stable and enjoy the public areas, but she resents it if you do, especially if you don't buy a horseback ride with her. It's a nice place, but the rooms are very small, as you share a bathroom with others. The common room is very pleasant.

We booked a paddock ride for a six year old with no previous experience and were very happy with our visit. We got to meet some of the other animals and then he had a short ride. It started off in the paddock with helpful tips on how to ride, then a little excursion around the farm and finally another round in the paddock. Our guide was very thoughtful and made us feel very welcome. Absolutely recommended

We stopped here to get out of the weather, and what a great place. The hot tub was a great break. They also have their own thermal pool, horses and dogs and amazing views.

Hrund went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to provide everything we could possibly want for a comfortable stay. She gave us suggestions for places to visit in the area and on the next leg of our ring road trip, told us about the history of the house, and brought us traditional Icelandic food and drink to try. Fantastic overnight stay in Vik. Hrund, the owner, gave us useful tips on what sights to see in the town and surrounding area. The room itself is spacious with a toaster, coffee maker and kettle. We stayed in the hotel portion of the building. Very clean and nice sized rooms. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Good breakfast, too. And it's only a short walk from the restaurant downtown.

Room was large, newly renovated it seems. Great bathroom with big shower. Had everything we needed. Only downside was that the room smelled damp. Reception was great and super helpful, both the receptionists we encountered. Breakfast was perfect for our needs, loved the added touch of the waffles, have missed Nordic waffles. Stayed at this lovely hostel, akin to Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel. Not to sound like an ad, but with the help of the Aurora app, we were able to see the northern lights pretty clearly about a five minute drive from the hostel.
