Ubud Tropical garden 2 in Ubud

Please be aware that this hotel is different from Ubud Tropical Garden. It’s the 2nd outlet which is further away from the main city. Wanted to be away from the noise and bustling city, we had picked this hotel. Unfortunately, because the premise is so small and the distant from the pool to all the rooms are near, we were waken up by loud noises of kids screaming & playing at the pool from 8am onward. What thought to be a relaxing stay turned out to be restless & tired. Check out time on Agoda showed 1pm but I was asked to check out at 12pm to make space for the incoming guests – which kinda messed up my afternoon plan. That aside, room was ok. Not the cleanest with some stains on the bedsheets and note that the hotel does not provide hair dryer, any dental kits and hand towels. The entrance to the hotel is very narrow with multiple steps & barely any street lights so just take note if you are bringing huge luggage / checking in late at night. The hotel does not have a lift so we could only opt for rooms on the first floor – which in exchange put us even closer to the pool. Overall, not a pleasant stay. There are definitely other options around - closer to city, more spacious premises and quieter

We thought we were in for a lovely second location. After all, it had an 8.7 rating! But upon arrival, we were sadly disappointed. The reception was about a 50-meter walk from a small side street, down a narrow alleyway past a construction site. Despite the friendly welcome, we found ourselves in a small courtyard with a small pool, four somewhat substandard sunbeds, and a very modest reception area with clutter. The room was the only thing we could be positive about. It was spacious and clean. In short, we gave it no more than a 6.
