Five stars are simply not enough.
From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were staying with family, not at a hotel. Everything about this place is exceptional — incredibly luxurious, perfectly clean, and thoughtfully designed. The food was outstanding, especially dinner, and the breakfast was lovely as well.

What truly touched us was the hospitality. The hotel manager personally came to every table during breakfast, always smiling, genuinely caring, and making sure every guest felt happy and comfortable. On our last day, even without us asking, he kindly offered a late checkout because our flight was at 10 PM.

This level of care is rare. This place doesn’t just offer accommodation — it gives you an experience you’ll never forget. Absolutely sensational.

Cheers (Room 502)

Excellent hotel – highly recommended!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was very good and well organized. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The staff was very kind, friendly, and always ready to help. They made us feel welcome from the first moment.
The kitchen and food were also excellent – fresh, tasty, and well prepared. Breakfast and dinner had a good variety and high quality.
Overall, a very good experience. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Great service, a great location, and excellent rooms. I would say this is one of the best places to stay in Ubud.

The staff are incredibly gentle and attentive. The massage is a little expensive, but everything else more than makes up for it. If I could give 10 stars, I wouldn’t hesitate.

A special mention to the reception staff when they noticed I was heading out in the rain, they kindly offered me a raincoat. A small gesture, but it truly shows their care and professionalism.

Our stay was absolutely amazing!

As for the hotel, the rooms were incredible, very spacious, with beautiful views of the jungle and great privacy. The lobby’s infinity pool is stunning, also offering astonishing views while maintaining privacy, as it is not located directly on the street.

The hotel restaurant offers a very varied, high-quality menu. Breakfast was generous and complete, with plenty of options to choose from.

The service was exceptional at all times, from our arrival to the very last day. The entire team was extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to help. We would especially like to highlight the work and professionalism of Merta, who was our guide for 3 days on different routes around Ubud, visiting temples, rice fields, and waterfalls. Thanks to him, we were able to truly learn about Balinese culture and discover some breathtaking places.

Everything was wonderful, highly recommended! Thank you!

I stayed over New Year’s and the view is absolutely breathtaking. I wanted to wake up on 1st January somewhere beautiful, surrounded by nature, and this hotel truly delivered. It’s perfectly located to experience the natural beauty of Ubud, and I felt calm and peaceful every morning. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

In terms of improvements, the gym really needs attention — much of the equipment felt old, worn, and in need of a proper clean, with very limited options available. The spa was extremely expensive compared to local alternatives, and there were no discounts offered for hotel guests, which was disappointing.

There was also a leak in my room that caused a small puddle to form on the floor, which was disruptive as I was constantly worried about slipping. Location-wise, the resort is quite remote, and due to a local taxi ban, services like Gojek or Grab are often unavailable. This means you have to rely on local taxis, which are significantly more expensive.

I only ate breakfast at the hotel, which was fine, but didn’t feel compelled to dine there beyond that. Overall, a stunning setting with lovely staff, but some practical issues affected the stay.

Beautiful location, gorgeous view from the rooms, average breakfasts, gorgeous infinity pool. I give it 4 stars because the food could be tastier, the bed linen is fresh, everything seems fine, but it just falls short of 5, sometimes there are small stains, sometimes you have to ask for additional cleaning.

The Kastara is a magical resort with outstanding service, fabulous rooms with a view on the ravine and an experience that is above expectations!

The environment is nice and the service is good. In addition to the good environment, there are geckos at night. The massage needs to be booked one day in advance. The swimming pool is beautiful and the room is very unique. The experience is very good.

The hotel is located in a village some distance from Ubud city center, about a half-hour taxi ride away. It faces a forest directly, with rice paddies on the other side; the greenery is excellent. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so if you're not going to the city, you'll mainly eat at the hotel bar. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast is fantastic. The only downside is that it seems a forest directly below the hotel has been cleared out, which slightly detracts from the aesthetics.
