The Kayon Ubud Resort in Ubud

This was the hotel we stayed at for our honeymoon.

The lush green jungle views were incredibly therapeutic!

The location is very convenient, close to Ubud town, so taxi fares aren't an issue. They also offer a free shuttle service every two hours. There were hardly ever any other passengers on the shuttle, so it felt like a private van.

We visited because we could use The Kayon Jungle Resort's pool. While the jungle resort might have better facilities, this one's closer to town and offers great value for money, which I consider a big advantage! We went into town both during the day and at night.

The staff were incredibly friendly and took care of guests like no other. You could really feel their meticulous attention to detail.

They accommodated all our requests. On our last day, we had an early checkout at 6 AM for our trip to Gili, and when we requested it in advance, they even prepared breakfast boxes for us in the early morning!

However, both the full-villa and our room were located down a flight of stairs, with the full-villas being even further down. There's no elevator, but the staff helped us with our luggage. So, if you have mobility issues or are traveling with elderly people, this might not be the most suitable accommodation.

The breakfast quality was great, with a wide variety of food options. Their lunch and dinner options were also plentiful and good! 😆👍

Overall, it was a great place for a honeymooning couple with no mobility issues. The service truly made up for any facility shortcomings!

Everything was just super, truly a 7-star experience. The infinity pool overlooking the jungle, a private waterfall, evening shows, morning yoga, incredible cuisine, and delicious cocktails were all highlights. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the city center, which means you can enjoy the jungle with the monkeys without feeling isolated from civilization. The staff truly work from the heart.

The hotel is very quiet and decent , if you are looking for a place to recharge yourself, and keep distant from urban. Definitely recommend.
There are many activities in the hotel, but the everyday. There are only 1 night activity across our stay, which we are pretty disappointed as we were really looking forward to the dance shows. Recommend to double check if those activities are without your stay before booking.

The staffs are really friendly and helpful, they helped us to resolve all the bugs issues in our room in few mins. The breakfasts is really nice and with big portion with I almost skip my lunch everyday.

I had a wonderful stay at The Kayon Resort. The bathroom was impressively spacious, and the room itself was comfortable and well maintained. The entire property has a peaceful, calming atmosphere—perfect if you’re looking to unwind. Although it’s a little away from the main road, the serenity and privacy more than make up for it. The views of the waterfall and river are absolutely spectacular and truly elevate the experience. The staff were proactive, attentive, and consistently made sure everything was taken care of.
Kepitu Restaurant was another highlight. They offer a great variety of dishes, all beautifully presented with thoughtful decorations and generous portions. The staff were caring, professional, and made dining there feel special.
Overall, a memorable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility, great service, and stunning natural surroundings.

Spacious room with huge bathroom and tub overlooking the forest and river! Fantastic service throughout. Beautiful pool area. Amazing and most accommodating staff, the true form of Bali hospitality and I highly recommend their local cuisine.

The staff are excellent, but everything inside the hotel is priced to rip off customers. Everything outside the hotel is 70% cheaper.

This was my third time in Bali, and I finally got to experience staying in a rainforest-view hotel in Ubud, something I'd always wanted to do. Overall, there weren't many mosquitoes – at least, I didn't get bitten! Breakfast is à la carte, one per person. Over two days, I tried two different local food sets based on staff recommendations. However, the stir-fried noodles I had on the second day were a bit salty, according to local opinion. The hotel also offers free activities daily, like yoga and morning walks, but I couldn't join due to scheduling conflicts. There are different activities in the yoga room every day at 1 PM. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to a supermarket near the main street, which is about a 10-minute walk from the palace. I added the hotel's WhatsApp when checking in, and they were very quick to respond to any questions. On the last day, I booked an airport transfer through Ctrip, but they didn't provide the driver's contact info. Luckily, the hotel directly called the driver to ask if he could leave earlier due to a heavy downpour. While the hotel might not have a ton of activities due to its smaller size, the professional service attitude of the staff more than made up for it.

Our stay was absolutely superb, with top-notch views, facilities, services, and hospitality. What truly stood out was the warm and welcoming service from the staff. We also thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea service, cultural experiences, and photo sessions.
