The Alena Resort A Pramana Experience in Ubud

We recently spent two unforgettable nights at The Alena Resort, and it was truly one of the most relaxing stays we’ve had in Bali.

We stayed in the Luxury One Bedroom Private Pool Villa, and from the moment we stepped in, we knew we had made the right choice. The villa was incredibly spacious, beautifully designed with a perfect blend of modern comfort and Balinese charm. Our private pool quickly became our favorite spot — peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery, and offering total privacy.

One of the highlights was definitely the floating breakfast in our pool. It was not only beautifully presented but also delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. Such a special and Instagram-worthy experience!

We also treated ourselves to a one-hour Balinese massage at the spa, followed by access to the jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. The massage was deeply relaxing and professionally done — exactly what you need to fully unwind. Spending time in the spa facilities afterwards made the whole experience even more indulgent and rejuvenating.

All our meals were at the resort’s restaurant, and every single one exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the quality and service were consistently excellent.

What truly made our stay special, though, was the warm and attentive staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a genuine smile.

If you’re looking for a romantic, peaceful escape in Ubud with privacy, comfort, and top-notch service, The Alena Resort is a perfect choice. We would absolutely come back again!

We had a wonderful stay at Alena Resort and can’t recommend it highly enough. The resort and rooms are absolutely beautiful and luxurious, and you truly feel immersed in the jungle while still having everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s the perfect balance between nature and luxury.

What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, and they genuinely made us feel cared for throughout our time at the resort. A special mention goes to Gusti, who was our driver and guide. He was always in a great mood, felt very genuine, and shared so many interesting stories about Bali — all with a great sense of humor. We truly enjoyed every moment with him and would highly recommend asking for Gusti if you need airport transport or a guided tour around Bali.

Absolutely incredible stay at the Alena Resort. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived and were always so well looked after by every single staff member. Everyone knew us by name and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. My partner is anaphylactic to nuts and the staff always triple checked all the food to make sure he was safe. The menu was fantastic with a wide range of food options and the breakfast was extremely generous and tasty every day. The staff helped us book day trips and made restaurant reservations for us, communicating my partner’s allergies to every venue we went to.
The resort itself was beautiful, with gorgeous traditional balinese-style rooms and two wonderful pools. Room service was always available and the staff were extremely easy to reach both through WhatsApp and the hotel phone line. The spa was also fantastic, with many treatment options available - so good that we went back a second time!
I cannot recommend Alena Resort enough, we are very sad to be leaving and can’t wait to come back soon!

We stayed in the luxury pool villa at Alena Pramana Resort for three days and had a wonderful experience. This boutique five-star property just 15-20 mins from central Ubud, feels like a peaceful oasis, perfect for relaxation and quiet time.

The resort is beautifully maintained, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout our stay. Dewa, the manager, leads a capable team who took excellent care of us. They offer thoughtfully curated activities on different days of the week that guests can choose from, and the convenient shuttle service into town made getting around easy. The spa was great too!

Overall, a very pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend this lovely resort.

The staff are warm and friendly, always ready to be hospitable and provide excellent service. They are always full of smiles, making us feel at home.

The food is exquisite and surprised me with every dish. Especially the breakfast, the choices available are full of nutritional value and sufficient to sustain till next meal. The service crew will check for food allergy every single time.
The resort is strategically located to be away from the city buzz, allowing me wind down with the forestry feel. It is self sufficient by nature, which means there is no need to leave the hotel unless I wish to.

Definitely a place that we will return for our next getaway or retreat.

The breakfast was very rich and delicious, and could be delivered to the room. The staff were very nice and let us use the pool until 10 pm. There was a shuttle bus to the city, which was very convenient; just book it an hour in advance. The only minor drawback was that the shower was not well-designed and kept getting the carpet and toilet wet. The bathroom could be cleaned a little better.

It is a small but exquisite boutique hotel, which is more than 20 minutes' drive from Ubud Centre. The hotel provides 4 free shuttle buses a day, which can be booked one hour in advance. There are many foreigners staying in the hotel. The hotel has two swimming pools, which are very photogenic when the weather is good. Some free simple afternoon tea is also provided in the afternoon. The bed is two meters wide, which is no problem for 2 adults and 1 child (the baby is 6 years old). The disadvantage is that the room is small, and the check-in process is troublesome. You need to read the agreement and register some information on your mobile phone. The hotel's catering is online and full of ritual. There are also many activities arranged, but I didn't experience them due to time and weather reasons. There is a very local dirty duck rice nearby, which is 10 minutes away by taxi. It is recommended to experience it.

Amazing staff. Best service in Ubud. Amazing breakfast and restaurant. Big comfy bed and huge bathtube. I would recommend this resort to anyone!
