Golden Walls Hotel in Jerusalem

I rarely write negative reviews, but my stay at the Golden Walls Hotel was so appalling that I feel obligated to warn others. What was supposed to be a pleasant trip to Jerusalem turned into a nightmare. 1. Abysmal Service and Unprofessional Staff: From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. We experienced significant delays during check-in, and the receptionists seemed bothered by our presence rather than welcoming. At one point, a staff member became verbally aggressive, which made us feel completely unsafe. 2. Dilapidated and Dirty Rooms: The "modern lounge" mentioned in the brochure is a far cry from the reality of the guest rooms. The bedroom decor is severely outdated, and the maintenance is non-existent. Our room felt cramped and small, and the cleanliness was questionable at best- we found dust everywhere and the towels provided were thin and low-quality. 3. Safety and Parking Issues: If you are traveling by car, beware. The parking situation is a disaster. Guests are told to park in an unsecured area outside, and when my vehicle was damaged, the hotel took absolutely no responsibility and offered zero assistance. The lack of security is a major concern. 4. Poor Value and Cold Food: The prices they charge are outrageous for the level of service and facilities provided. To make matters worse, while the breakfast variety was okay, the food was often served cold. Verdict: This hotel lacks basic hospitality, professionalism, and safety standards. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. Jerusalem has much better options than this overpriced and poorly managed establishment.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Golden Walls Hotel in Jerusalem. From the moment we arrived, the service felt indifferent and unprofessional. The front desk staff appeared uninterested in helping and did not provide clear information about basic amenities. Check-in was slow and disorganized. The room itself was outdated and poorly maintained. The furniture looked worn, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the overall atmosphere felt neglected. Basic standards of comfort and hygiene were simply not met. For a hotel in such a prime location near the Old City, the level of maintenance was surprisingly low. The breakfast was equally underwhelming — limited variety, mediocre quality, and items that did not appear fresh. The dining area was crowded and not well managed. What made the experience worse was the feeling that guest concerns were not taken seriously. When we raised minor issues, the response was dismissive rather than solution-oriented. Jerusalem is a beautiful and meaningful city, and staying at the right hotel can elevate the experience. Unfortunately, this property did the opposite. I would not recommend Golden Walls Hotel and would strongly suggest looking elsewhere for accommodation.
