Old style hotel with superb rooms, views and staff. Wonderful memories.
A trip to always remember. This hotel cannot do enough for you from the waitstaff, who are friendly. accommodating, and work SO HARD. To the concierge Giuseppe AMAZING !!!! The hotel is 5 stars +++, and the grounds beautiful. You are a 1 mile walk into Sorrento ( away from the crowds) so easy. The food ***** AMAZING everything about our stay was perfect. Thank you Cocumella... we will return
Our family will return to La Cocumella. Exquisite in every way, a buffet breakfast TDF, and the amazing Chef Concierge, Giuseppe DiPietro, who arranged our unforgettable dinners in Sorrento, train to Pompei, and a private driver to take our family to Ravello and Positano. The restaurants are wonderful, especially the divine L'Agrumeto by the pristine (and quiet) pool and the staff very welcoming. The...
What a lovely property. The hotel is beautiful. The best concierge (Giuseppe). Very accommodating and great food/bar. The beach club is exclusive and the pool is great. 10/10.
The property and the staff were magnificent. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay wonderful.
We came to GHC after ten days in Anacapri and Amalfi where we stayed in five star resorts that I thought could not be beat. I was expecting GHC to be my least favorite stop given I knew it was old. Well, this spot really was a delight. Our suite was large and had a two story outdoor area overlooking the resort and water beyond. The staff was top five I’ve ever experienced- they were so so responsive...

Amazing stay at this hotel. I stayed here in 2023 for one week and again, this year (2025) for another week.
It is a family run welcoming hotel. The service is great, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is good and accommodating if you have dietary needs.
The pool is great.
30 minute walk into Sorrento, although round the corner there is a train that takes you there in 2 minutes.

Everything was perfect but the bed !
They need to replace them
We stayed at Hotel Club Sorrento for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Everything was spotlessly clean and the food was varied, nicely cooked and presented. They have a beautiful terrace and pool and the view from the top is wonderful. It is very nicely situated with bus stops and train station minutes away. We would highly recommend this hotel and...
This is a family-owned hotel, and the service really stood out. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. They went out of their way to accommodate a gluten-free breakfast, and any time we asked for extra towels or toilet paper, they provided them right away. Our room was also kept clean throughout the stay, which we appreciated.
On the other hand, there were some downsides. The Wi...
Very welcoming the staff could not do enough including dropping off and picking up at the pick up point which was 5 minutes from the hotel. The rooms and hotel very clean, spotless, the staff never stop cleaning and the rooms have everything you need including a safe and fridge. The hotel is quite old, the rooms are very small, barely large enough for two people to squeeze in and out at the same time, the facilities are outdated, and the cleanliness is poor, which is very unsatisfactory. Firstly, there were bloodstains on the pillows, and secondly, the trash can in the bathroom was full of the previous guest's garbage, indicating the hotel cleaning staff hadn't cleaned it...
If you are coming here for the Jacuzzi don't bother. They dont heat it, and will gaslight you to think that a jacuzzi is supposed to be cold. Other than that, the kitchen staff were great, the room was clean but every room only accommodating for two people including only two chairs on the small balcony.
We absolutely loved our stay at hotel Michelangelo! The location is prime. You can’t get any closer to the sorrento train terminal and the walk down to the marina is so beautiful and a peaceful walk that we enjoyed every day. The full service breakfast is wonderful and the staff are all so kind and attentive. The rooftop bar and views are really nice we enjoyed the beautiful views of the water and...
The breakfast was amazing, unfortunately, the rooms are small but very clean. Overall great stay. It’s very close to the train station, which makes it a perfect location. But at the same time, because of the location it doesn’t have great views. It has 2 pools, they close at around 6 pm, which is early. And both of them are small.
What a place! 5 minute walk to the piazza and 2 minute walk to the station. The facilities are excellent and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We're half board and the evening meals are superb as are the breakfasts. The waiters are super lovely! We would certainly consider coming back here as this hotel ticked all the boxes!
Great location in the centre of Sorrento the hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful the rooms are a good size but appear a little dated but you're not there for the rooms. The rooftop bar Staff were great but all of them were great. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was wonderful Staff, room.local, cleanliness,& all around good feeling
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Flora. The hotel is modern, accessible, and in a great location—just a short 7–10 minute walk to the center of Sorrento. We were pleasantly upgraded from a deluxe room to a suite with breathtaking views of the volcano and ocean. The staff were friendly, though service could be a bit more polished. Overall, a wonderful property with stunning views and an ideal...
Bed was comfortable and internet was fast. Needed to work remotely and was able to be productive using their WiFi.
Ask for new section of the hotel
Location is good. We stayed at the old part of the hotel, AC is controlled by the front desk. Hair dryer was not working. Bathroom is very old. Picture shows the new part of the hotel which is much better. My first room was right next to an antique elevator.its impossible to sleep even with my ear plugs. Staffs are very friendly.
What an amazing experience! I booked an Airbnb that was not ideal and made this booking last minute. I liked it so much I stayed an extra day! So convenient, every single person that helped us was amazing and close to everything. I think I’m dove with Airbnb’s from now on. Beautiful property!
Location location location this is a great place to stay close to so many great places to visit like Positano for example. Daniella goes the extra mile to help you with everything and from here you can go everywhere if you want to.

Enjoyed a week's stay here, but expected more of a 4-star hotel. The room was spotlessly clean but basic and not that functional - it lacked storage space with only a wardrobe, which, although provided plenty of hanging space, had no drawers or shelving. There were only 2 plug sockets, 1 in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom - not handy for charging. There was no mirror at the table in the...
Fantastic, just about perfect. The staff were friendly, appeared interested in us. They helped my wife who is learning Italian.
The views from the hotel of the Bay of Naples & Vesuvius are incredible! The pool, sun bed terrace & outside dining area are very nice. The hotel interior, however, has a budget feel to it and the so called “Superior” Room we had was tiny, poorly furnished (with no bedside tables, no chest of drawers & only a single wardrobe each with no shelves in it. The artwork in the room was creased paper posters...
My wife and I stayed here for 3 days on our honey and we would definitely recommend. The room and pool views are spectacular. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt accommodated. Transportation from the hotel to the Sorrento bus station was included and also very reliable. A big thank you to the staff for making our honeymoon experience enjoyable!
The location is very pretty high up but you need to take a shuttle which runs every hour and 15 minutes so not very easy. There is young lady at the front desk that does not seem to want to do her job regarding helping guests. They went into our rooms even after informing them not to do so. They do not have do not disturb signs!!!! The shuttle goes around picking up other guests without letting you...
This is a great hotel with a beautiful view over the bay of Naples, an excellent restaurant and wonderful staff. However, it is spoiled by an apparent reliance on American tour groups which arrive in hordes, act as if they own the place and are generally rude, loud and arrogant.

Great location near the center of town and easy walking distance to the Sorrento station and ferry terminal. The room was efficient and spotless, the breakfast service was excellent and the staff were helpful and kind at all times.
First room was too small, but Theresa made it right on third day. Theresa was very nice and accommodating, but the other reception girls could be a little friendlier. I was going to find another hotel, but Theresa saved the day.
Great variety in breakfast buffet, the staff is very attentive and friendly.

We were disappointed. Bath had one light which dimly lit. What 4 star location has plastic glasses in the bathroom. Extra charges for clean pool towels seemed excessive. Staff was friendly. Best part was the nightly entertainment. Violin and piano player was absolutely excellent!!! Location was convenient and their shuttle to Santorini an appreciated service.
Staff not friendly, did not look at their customers.
Beds were hard.
The hotel was very nice, but there were some issues. There was some exceptional staff members that went above and beyond; Angelo in the dining room and Carmen and Joseph at reception. Some of the other staff members at the reception were very hard to deal with. The hair dryer in the room kept shorting out and the air conditioning didn't work so well. The pool was very nice as well as the lounge areas
Lovely hotel with great restaurant
We stayed as a family of 4 for 5 nights and had a lovely, relaxing stay. Being able to order a La carte in the evening was a great treat. The shuttle bus to Sorrento was helpful. Responsive and kind staff. We had a lovely holiday. Thanks.
Really wanted to give this 3.5 stars but the system won’t let me.
Good points: well isolated from traffic noise. Aircon on all the time. Pool and loungers well located and sufficient. Breakfast. Transportation service into Sorrento.
Not so good: internal noise insulation poor, i.e. noise from adjacent rooms (particularly toilet flushing). Don’t bother having dinner there as other local restaurants...
The location is pretty convenient though it’s not exactly at the center of Sorrento, shuttle bus service was excellent and it takes only 5-8 mins to city center.

We thought the room was mediocre and disappointing. The property was very attractive, and the staff was very pleasant. It turns out that it was not quite the kind of property that we are used to staying in.

Hotel Grand de la Ville is elegant, comfortable, and perfectly located. The staff are warm and attentive, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the rooftop pool offers stunning views. A wonderful place to stay in Sorrento.
The photos were pretty, but when I actually went there, it was just like a motel. The location was remote and humid, so I barely managed to stay one night and leave.
The hotel is quite good. Since we chartered a car for the trip, the hotel was easy to find and was very close to the beach, about a 20-minute walk. The room was just okay, with no view of the sea. The breakfast was great with lots of fruits.
Not bad. I think Sorrento is the most cost-effective hotel. It is safe and comfortable to stay in, but I didn't take any pictures🤣🤣🤣
Pros were very attentive service, new and clean rooms, good breakfast. But there is a core drawback, this hotel is not by the sea, even the top floor of the hotel can not see a line of sea views. The really good hotels here are by the sea, have their own “cliff access”, their own beach. It it was close to the center (about a 10 minute walk) without feeling like you’re in too crowded of an area. Bonus points for the pool and the excellent morning breakfast!
A lovely hotel with friendly staff. Close to Sorrento old town and more local dining options.
Nice hotel, great breakfast. Beds were comfortable, nice pool area, close to downtown Sorrento. Staff was extremely helpful.
Really lovely place to stay. Fairly central, (which means that it's on a busy road, but double glazing and AC sorts that). The pool is really good, we didn't try the fitness suite but I'm sure that's good too. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for more!
Free breakfast was excellent, clean rooms and lobby. 20-30 minute walk from Sorrento center, I’ve seen better pools, gym closed on Sunday’s.
Our stay at Hotel Central Wellness was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotless, well organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind throughout. The amenities were great, and the breakfast was a highlight — fresh fruits and one of the best spreads we've had. No doubt, it's an excellent option for anyone staying in Sorrento!

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a joy - being served rather than having a buffet - by staff who went the extra mile to ensure satisfaction. The views from the terrace were fantastic.
The scenery is beautiful, the view is wide, and the sunset is amazing.
The hotel is in a good location, not far from the station and the pier, with an unbeatable view to enjoy the sunset, and the breakfast is average
The hotel experience in Sorrento was the best experience of this European trip. The scenery and service were very good. The Michelin one-star restaurant experience was great. Of course, the best experience was to have breakfast overlooking the bay every morning, which was very pleasant.
The room was very clean and the waiters were very friendly!
We originally wanted to stay on the island, but later we were advised to stay in Sorrento, so we made a hasty decision. We were a little worried at first, but when we got to the hotel, we were so happy. The location and scenery were so great! If you want to visit the Amalfi coastline, I really recommend staying in Sorrento. It's much quieter than Positano and Amalfi. I strongly recommend walking to...
