Had a lovely time at the hotel and it was a very good base for exploring Pompeii and Herculaneum with the station only 5minutes walk. Hotel grounds are beautiful with lots of citrus trees and a play area for children. Staff are all lovely and polite. Breakfast suited us, but we have a sweet tooth and don’t mind pastry and cake for breakfast. Cereal, savoury and hot food options were also available and cooked well. We didn’t eat an evening meal so can’t comment on that. Some reviews we read before coming mentioned outdated decor etc but whilst the decor didn’t match our personal style this didn’t impact on the comfort or usability, of the room and the little patio with sunloungers was a lovely little space. €20 per night for a baby cot felt expensive but when we were looking at hotels in this region this seemed to be the extravagant going rate so had to be paid with an under 1.

We had a fantastic time after it was recommended by a friend who had stayed there previously, we will be looking to return next year if not sooner, the staff handled any request we had with a smile & the room & facilities were exactly as advertised & we left very happy with or holiday.

Fabulous hotel , great location and helpful staff. I visited Hotel Alpha with my young family in December and we enjoyed every minute. Great food , nice fresh clean rooms and wonderful staff that couldn’t do enough for us. I would highly recommend if you are thinking of a stay in Sorrento

This hotel is in a fantastic location and offers excellent value for money for the Sorrento area. The staff are lovely, welcoming, and always helpful, and the manager deserves a special mention for being attentive and professional. While the furniture is a bit outdated, the hotel is very clean, comfortable, and has a charming atmosphere. Overall, a pleasant stay and a great choice if you’re looking for quality at an affordable price in Sorrento.

I truly felt like a guest and at home at the same time. The breakfast was delicious, with an incredible selection. I loved the coffee. Set in a lemon grove, in the heart of the town. Close to the train station and the bus stop. From here, Sorrento can be reached on foot, with beautiful views along the way.

This is an excellent small hotel which is beautifully clean and freshly decorated. From the gleaming white marble tiles and sparkling taps and glass in the recently refurbished bathroom, the comfortable mattress, good TV with Netflix etc. , lovely balcony with views over the bay of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the distance, the room exceeded our expectations. Everything was very well run and the staff were amazing. On the first night I had the best pink gin and tonic ever from the bar! Breakfast the next day was lovely and Giuseppe (very good English) was so kind and helpful, as were all the staff in the breakfast room. Carmela (very good English) on reception was especially helpful with travel and tour arrangements and we took her recommendation for a minibus guided tour to the Amalfi coast and he was great. Don’t miss out on amazing Pompeii and Herculaneum on the train either, the station is very nearby. Many thanks to all. Sarah and Frazer

Overall, it’s ok and it’s barely making that grade. Certainly, not a 4 star, not sure who’s measuring that, but it’s not even close. AC doesn’t work, we are lucky that the weather is mild. Most of the hotel is dated - like from the seventies. Not a pleasant place to hang out. Rooms are somewhat updated and they are spacious for Europe.
Service on our first day was good, on the second, absurdly poor.
Tried to exchange some dollars, they wouldn’t do it, first hotel I’ve been to that doesn’t do that. Unfortunately, the font desk person was obnoxious about it too “we are not an exchange!” It is generally a hotel courtesy. Pool attendant (very strange person) wanted to charge me for an extra towel, and I quote; “2 people, 2 towels!” In the history of hotels, I’ve never heard of that. Just subpar performance from a hotel that boasts a 4 star rating.
Gardens are nice.
This area has so many options, pick something else is my recommendation.
