Grand Hotel De La Ville in Sorrento

The hotel is of a classic design. Our room had the garden view to the rear. It was nice to hear the birds singing in the trees and eating breakfast in the garden was a delight. The evening meal was in the restaurant and the food was delicious with a classic menu and a menu that changed daily. All staff were polite and courteous. The cleaners worked hard as did the waiters. We used the pool on the ground floor as it was very hot and we wanted the shade. The pool area has some greenery which is nice and takes away the hard edges of bricks and mortar that often surround urban hotels. We sat on the rooftop terrace on evening and found it relaxing with a lovely view over the bay of Naples. The location was good a short walk away from the centre of Sorrento. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel with great service. Saturday night Sorrento dinner was wonderful food and music. Got a fabulous massage with a very skilled therapist. Pool is not heated or temp regulated as advertised. Rooms are loud because everything is tiled and you hear them cleaning early AM. Breakfast has a wonderful variety of food including eggs. Very professional staff.

Great hotel! Well appointed with friendly service and a delicious breakfast. A little outside the main shopping district and very close to train station which is great. Nice pool and sun are on the roof with view of the bay and Mount Vesuvius. Only complaint was that the evening bar server couldn't figure out how to make a decaf americano even though he could make a decaf espresso (training issue?).

My wife and I recently had a fantastic stay at the Grand Hotel de la Ville. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to be accommodating.
​The Room (519):
We stayed on the fifth floor in room 519, and I highly recommend it. It offered a perfect balance—a partial sea view on one side and a beautiful view of the mountains on the other. The room itself felt like a great retreat.
​Facilities & Grounds:
While the weather was a bit too chilly for us to take a dip in the pool, the area looked luxurious and well-maintained. The absolute highlight of the grounds, however, is the garden. The orange blossom trees were in bloom during our stay, and the scent was simply divine—it made every walk through the garden a sensory treat.
​Dining & Value:
Breakfast each morning was quite good with a solid variety of options. While this hotel is certainly on the pricier side, we found the quality of service, the luxury of the facilities, and the overall experience to be well worth the investment.
​We would definitely recommend the Grand Hotel de la Ville to anyone looking for a high-end experience in Sorrento. We can't wait to come back when it's warm enough to use that pool!

Hotel Grand de la Ville is elegant, comfortable, and perfectly located. The staff are warm and attentive, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the rooftop pool offers stunning views. A wonderful place to stay in Sorrento.

The hotel is quite good. Since we chartered a car for the trip, the hotel was easy to find and was very close to the beach, about a 20-minute walk. The room was just okay, with no view of the sea. The breakfast was great with lots of fruits.

Not bad. I think Sorrento is the most cost-effective hotel. It is safe and comfortable to stay in, but I didn't take any pictures🤣🤣🤣
