Art Hotel Gran Paradiso

This hotel has a great pool and sundeck with the most amazing views . The hotel has a modern theme with some art works . My first room was comfortable and clean, no balcony. As the aircon was not great I managed to upgrade to a 4th floor sea view room with small balcony - loved it. Rooms cleaned well each day and all towels changed . Good minifridge/bar, but no tea/coffee facility. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful - particular mention to all the restaurant and bar staff who always greet you warmly . I really enjoyed the amazing food and ate at the hotel mostly, including lunch - and again great views when dining . Some great specials such as red snapper, linguini with lobster - all washed down with great selection of wines at reasonable prices.The hotel is up a very steep hill 15mins walk to Sant Agnello or 30 mins to Sorrento . There is a regular hotel shuttle but bear this in mind as taxis €20 to 30 - and in the height of summer the walk is bit of an effort ! I had a great holiday at this hotel. The only minor issue I had was aircon in bedrooms not great - minimum 22 to 23 degrees which I find a bit warm for sleeping

A lovely friendly hotel. The staff were amazing. The views of the bay over to Vesuvius and Capri were stunning and the sunsets a sight to behold. Our room was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could have done with more cupboard space for storing clothes though. We had the bed and breakfast option and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The evening meals were definitely worth staying in for. Eugemio, Goivanni and Giuliann were amazing hosts and kept us entertained. My favourite was the Ravioli. There was a free bus service down into Sorrento but it did get oversubscribed at busy times. The hotel did their best to make sure everyone got there doing more than one shuttle. Capri by boat was a highlight of the trip as was the visit to Pompeii and Vesuvius, all organised by the hotel. Loads to do and see. We would love to come back and do more. Grazie.

We were at this hotel with a group tour and had a wonderful time. Our room was in a different part of the hotel were only 4 rooms in total were. Room, bathroom and balcony was huge. The drinks were good! The pool was great, wish it was open past 7pm. Only bad part was I could hear people moved the pool chairs around in the morning but we were up early anyway. Buffett was also good! some taxis don't like to come up the hill to pick up but they do offer a shuttle service into town. FYI: Kids took a drink out of the mini bar but didn't open it and we were charged.

We were absolutely blown away by this hotel It was so charming art deco It sat up on top of Sorrento and the views were absolutely stunning Great pool and patio the service and the staff were absolutely incredible. Wish we could’ve extended our trip for a couple extra days. We can’t say enough about this beautiful property Happily recommend to anybody visiting Sorrento Salute The Gazzolas from Canada

Just back from a week at this wonderful hotel, the views are to die for, the pool area is fantastic, plenty of sunbeds and parasols available, the rooms were bright and spotlessly clean, beds/towels changed every day, the staff can not do enough for you they are fabulous and so friendly, the breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot and cold food, also an omelette station where they make them fresh to order, great coffee!!, the evening restaurant is superb we went 3 times over our week, food was exquisite, they put on a bus service which runs 10 times a day taking you from the hotel down to Sorrento station and picking you up, this is a great idea as the hill is very narrow and steep, special mention to the lovely Carlo who works at the bar and restaurant of an evening, he is a credit to you as are all your staff, thank you for a wonderful week and we will be back

Just a word of warning to anyone thinking of booking this hotel. Check which room you have been allocated. If you don't specify you want a view of the Bay of Naples then you are likely to end up with with a room at the back of the hotel looking on to scrub land and a steep bank-side. This is not what we were expecting and my wife was in tears within two minutes of entering our room. No one mentioned anything to us about upgrading to a superior sea view room during the booking process. So be careful. The holiday wasn't cheap to start with, so to be allocated this substandard room was very disappointing. We upgraded at an extra cost of 50 Euros per night, 350 Euros in our case. However, if the hotel had been full and no upgrade possible, the initial room allocated would have spoilt our whole weeks stay. The review on 8th June 'absolute gem of a hotel' is spot on. Our new room 203, was next door to the person leaving their review. Stunning views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, but you have to pay extra for those!

Fantastic staff and service. Went above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. Views, pool and restaurant are fantastic.
Taxi is €25/30 to get to the marina but other than that super great location up in the hills!!

Hotel is set in peaceful location, however, this means it’s quite a distance on a very steep hill into town. There’s a free shuttle bus but this can be inconvenient time wise, whole holiday dictated by the timetable which is patchy. The staff are lovely, hotel is immaculate and the food is excellent, One small complaint , there are no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room which I’ve never encountered before and was a nuisance, such a simple thing to fix and together with shuttle not being frequent enough I would not not book again.

Our 2 week stay here was fabulous-honestly amazing. Spotlessly clean,Staff so friendly and helpful. Can't speak highly enough of them. Pool fantastic-sunbed area fantastic-soo relaxing. Felt very pampered. Food was fresh and of a high standard. Absolutely loved this hotel-will definitely be going back. Highly recommended 👌.
