I am writing this review in the hope that the hotel management will take responsibility and start addressing some of the property's shortcomings, because it really would not take much for this place to become a pleasant accommodation.

The exterior of the property is beautifully maintained. The variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers gives the complex a charming, romantic, and relaxing atmosphere. I would also like to praise the swimming pool, which is well-kept, and the staff, who genuinely seem to do their best. Unfortunately, this is where the positive aspects end.

The rooms are outdated, the bed is uncomfortable, and the room was not properly cleaned. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very unhygienic refrigerator. The rooms are poorly ventilated and have a persistent damp smell. Despite airing the room regularly, we were unable to get rid of the odor. Since there are no mosquito screens on the windows, keeping them open at night is practically impossible.

Between our room and the neighboring room there was a locked connecting door with a gap of approximately 2 cm underneath, meaning there was absolutely no privacy. We spent several nights awake because our neighbor would be talking at 1:00–2:00 a.m., and then snore throughout the night. The same situation repeated itself night after night. You could hear almost every conversation, and during quieter moments even your neighbors breathing. The soundproofing is simply nonexistent.

Even all of this might have been easier to overlook if breakfast had not been such a major disappointment.

On our first morning, we arrived among the first guests (mainly because we had barely slept due to the noise). We were seated at a clean table, but the dining area smelled terrible, almost like vomit. The following day, we arrived a little later and it was nearly impossible to find a clean table.

The quality of the food is extremely poor. If you enjoy a savory and nutritious breakfast, you will likely be disappointed. The scrambled eggs appear to be made from powdered mix, are watery, tasteless, and already cold when served. The bacon is rubbery and tastes artificial, almost like plastic. The sausages are barely acceptable and, again, cold. The cold cuts selection consists of one type of cheese, ham, and one kind of dry salami. When items run out, guests have to actively search for staff and ask for refills.

Most of the food has a strange taste and gives the impression of being the lowest quality available. The sweet section is more extensive, with croissants, cookies, cakes, and pastries, so guests who prefer a sweet breakfast may find more options.

The coffee deserves a special mention—and not in a good way. It comes from an instant coffee machine that often does not even work properly, and the coffee itself is simply undrinkable. It was genuinely the worst coffee I have ever had.

The breakfast was so disappointing that after the first two days we stopped going. On two occasions, we only took some bread and prepared our own breakfast in the room using ingredients purchased from a local store.

I would like to emphasize that we are not demanding guests. However, a property that advertises itself as a four-star hotel should be able to meet a certain standard. Unfortunately, that standard is clearly not being met here.

Nice location and pooI. Anything else is really bad. I mean the rooms stink , the fridge was still dirty when we arrived . We usually dont book accomodations with breakfast , this time we did and it was the worst thing we did 😅😩 . As I am reading the latest reviews with same problems , I think the problem is the owner/manager here since he is replying to them with same answers... Good job Marco🤡

We booked 2 nights in this accomodation, but couldn’t stay there. The smell of moisture was disgusting. Bathroom full of ants.. bathroom for invalids.. the bed is from 1960’s as well as the mattress. Towels and pillow case with yellow stains. Disgusting. The smell of moisture from air condition also. We couldn’t stay there so we had to find another accomodation the same day. The staff (“the head of the reception”) didn’t even try to fix the situation, didn’t even offer another room or any kind of compensation. We left immediately.

Everything about our experience at Cala Gonone Beach Village ******. It looks good in the pictures, but everything is poorly maintained and broken. The bed beds were hard and you can feel the springs through the mattress. You can hear every neighbor throughout the walls. Our air conditioning was broken and beeped constantly through the night, it took them two days to fix it despite multiple complaints. The food is all pre-made meals and they cant even be bothered to heat it properly. The pool is pretty, but bland and cold with too much chlorine. All in all a terrible experience.

Very poor musty smelling rooms we moved which didn't help. Very poor food choice with limited time to eat it. They rushed you out bang on 9pm put food away 8.40pm. We had 60 Romainian police at the resort. Their disgusting behaviour was left unchecked. Ruin the swimming pool night and tried to break in a private dance event but nothing was done. The beach pebbles with biting fish. Two stars as regular shuttle train was nice and always had sunbeds had a big pool. As you expect of 2 star no kettle or coffee making facilties. No English TV channel not 1 out of 68 channels. Recommend trip Cala Luna boat trip. Proper sand beach

Absolutely disgusting rooms and bathrooms. Mold on curtains and in bathroom. Raised concerns with reception and they promised a manager would come and see us to resolve. This never happened. Advertised as a 4 star i wouldn't even call it a one star. This ruined our holiday. I have since raised a complaint with love holidays they are saying the hotel are denying my allegations even with photographic evidence. Check out other complaints are we all lying???? Not a way to treat paying customers to your hotel.

The hotel it's advertised as 4 star but the service , rooms , food and other amenities doesn't reflect to that . Old rooms , old mattresses and broken dirty beds , Ac noisy and working time to time.6 nights there and couldn't sleep at all.Glad that we took only bed and breakfast as there was poor selection of food , and unfriendly staff . Swimming pool and sun beds full as the resort has to many room . disappointed as money we paid doesn't reflect on the service received
