Beautiful hotel horrible experience at the restaurant for dinner and forbreakfast

This is definitely NOT a beach front hotel (it is actually a 20 minute walk to the beach) as advertised so I would consider that before booking. It is also NOT a 'boutique' hotel - I have stayed in far nicer places for less money that have been much nicer than this hotel. The rooms were fine however though the decor is a little outdated though the view from the balcony (if you are on at the front of the hotel) is nice and the rooms were cleaned very thoroughly every day.

My main gripe with this hotel is that they charged us €50 (yes you read that right) FIFTY EUROS for laundry when we gave them a relatively small bag of laundry which was mostly swimwear/underwear. Furthermore, whilst the laundry service is advertised as 24 hours it took over 2 DAYS (which is silly as we were only there for 5 days) for us to get the laundry back and I had to chase this several times with the staff who were massively unhelpful and, I felt, rude. I don’t accept that it cost anywhere near that price to do the laundry and it massively put us off the hotel. The pool area is fine but there are A LOT of bees/wasps flying about and in the pool which makes it an unpleasant place to sit. Breakfast is fine though the same food is served every day which I can imagine becomes repetitive if you stay for any longer than 4 days. You have to pay per day to park if you have a car- I think this should be free for guests. All in all I would probably not recommend this hotel to a friend or stay again as - putting laundry gate aside - I think it is overpriced for what you get.

Thanks very much for your reply though you seem to have missed the point re the laundry. The service was not too expensive for us to afford (clearly, as we settled our bill) - the point is that you charge 50 EUROS for washing a small amount of laundry. I note you also havent addressed the fact that it took over 24 hours for the laundry to be returned which is ridiculous, if you are going to overcharge customers for laundry at the very least make sure you deliver - as advertised - within 24 hours. Re breakfast I'm not sure serving scrambled eggs every day amounts to a varied offering but that's just me!
