A caring host A little difficult to find. However, everything else is great! Close to the historic center. A helpful and attentive host. Spacious and very clean room, as was the bathroom. Varied breakfast. Top-notch!

Excellent location (we were 5, including three boys). Strategic for visiting Matera on foot, leaving the car in the courtyard. Mimmo was very kind in welcoming and advising us. Super abundant breakfast. Rooms equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Thanks for everything Mimmo, we really hope to return.

B&B located inside Mr. Giordano. Clean and comfortable environment. Ideal for a one night stop as we did for visiting the city of Matera (absolutely enchanting). Recommended!!

Normal All in all, pretty good, except for the heat. The air conditioning didn't cool the entire room, and it was scorching hot. There was mold in the bathroom. The only positive note was the owner, who gave us excellent tips for visiting Matera. The breakfast was good.

Yummy place in a cozy atmosphere.

We stayed 3 years ago, it was very nice, particular environments, obtained from a former oil mill. Greeted by the owner with a white wine for an aperitif, our stay was unfortunately short but a great memory. To our surprise we saw it again on TV on channel 8, the "race" between hoteliers and hence the curiosity to review the place on googlemap and release this review.

Unique residence in historic part of town, close to centre with bars, cafes, restaurants, amenities nearby. Excellent accommodation, big comfortable room with mezzanine. Easy access with keys, avoiding need to disturb staff to get in and out. Breakfast with wide variety of options, local produce, served by friendly staff, who like the reception staff were very friendly and accommodating.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The location was perfect as it is close to both Matera Central public transportation and the main Matera town attractions. The hosts were accomodating with our last minute booking and gave a warm welcome. We would stay again.

Simple but clean hotel friendly staff gave us a lot of information by putting us in touch with a super guide. Excellent central location 150 meters and you are in the center pay parking opposite. The breakfast included at the bar under the hotel is not really satisfactory as it offers only empty frozen croissants that fill at the moment with Nutella jam or cream the same that we find at the motorway...

Dimora Santa Bárbara looks like out of a fairy tale. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms with all the amenities (wifi, snacks, fluffy towels, etc.) BUT the most amazing things: the views. Both at night and during the day you open the doors and windows and you overlook a mystical valley, the thousands of year old caves and ruins... breathtaking. Also amazing service and super kind owner.

We had such a wonderful time at this place, Ivan is an excellent host, he made as feel like at home! Our room was beautiful very different from other B&B. Our hosts, Ivan and Angelo, were really friendly and helpful. Angelo picked us up from the car park and returned us there at the end of our visit. The suite has been tastefully renovated with marble and granite floors. The kitchen and bathroom are both modern and attractive. The location is superb. I wish I could have stayed for weeks!

This place will give you the perfect time. I guarantee. Do you wnat a perfect trip in Matera? please don't waste your time looking for other accommodation. Just, just go to "Dimora santa barbara". That's it. That's all you need.

Matera, my favorite! We stayed just one night in the corner room. Clean, cute, and SPECTACULAR views! Ivan was incredibly helpful from picking us up at the parking garage to giving great directions back to Rome! I will be back, for sure!

Perfect stay to say the least. Comfortable room with excellent cleaning. Mr. Rocco was truly exquisite in his person from the welcome to the management of the guest in all its nuances, impeccable cleanliness and above all the presence of the parking lot in a central power area is really a gem not to be underestimated. Recently, I spent a Saturday night in one of the rooms of the B&B 85 center, well-kept, well-cleaned, arranged, new, warm accommodations just a few steps from the historic center of Potenza and its Santa Lucia escalators. Good breakfast with kitchenette available all day, free parking and the staff (like Mr. Rocco) always polite, friendly, approachable, sociable, helpful and smiling. Recommended 👍

Although this hotel is a little smaller, it is very good in all aspects. The facilities are very new and the location is relatively good. It is suitable for self-driving and staying there. The front desk is also very enthusiastic. If you go to that city, you will stay here again.

The overall stay experience was very good. Parking is available and is free. The room is spacious, the mattress is soft, and the hygiene is very clean. The breakfast variety is OK. The front desk was efficient. It is not too far from the main scenic spots, just a ten-minute drive.

Located in the Center of matera. Were switched to this apt because the originally booked had a heating problem. Unfortunately this one had no Window. WiFi had many interruptions. Informed owner that shower head should be repaired. Breakfast (with small varieties) location nearby.

Absolutely fantastic place. We had an excellent stay here in the heart of Sassi di Matera. The views from the room were to die for. The staff is so so so lovely. Maria Luisa provided everything we needed and explained the essentials via Whatsapp before we even took the train to Matera. The breakfast was superb. Not rich and spoiled for choice, but quality over quantity! The espresso was top notch...

I don’t feel like the host (Irene i think) was very helpful. It felt like we annoyed her. They didn’t want to help me order a taxi when I asked for help. I also asked for help to get to Araberello but the host wouldn’t advice me. The next day I asked again if she could help get me there and tell me the price and stuff but she just sent me the taxi number. Felt like we weren’t very welcome to ask questions...

Alexandro was very welcoming. Well appointed rooms, beautiful quiet courtyard for enjoying a glass of wine. The views from the terrace rooms was breathtaking. Located right in the centre of the historical city of Matera, felt safe.

There were some problem with Wc table not stable and not enough privacy since the toilet is separated to the bedroom only by one glass door. Matera is an amazing place to visit and staying at the Monaco Bianco made it even more special! Alessandro was incredibly helpful and welcoming - the perfect manager for this property. I shall happily recommend this to anyone else I know travelling to Matera.

A well-kept farmhouse. Located in the green a stone's throw from Christ the Redeemer. relaxing atmosphere, total absence of noise. I stayed at this property until this morning, I'm really very very satisfied. an oasis in the greenery, a very very satisfying relaxation ... waking up with the chirping of birds, and breathing such fresh clean air is priceless. We received a warm welcome when we arrived. We were thrilled with the location, couldn’t be more central. The room was beautiful, exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was in the cafe next door so very convenient. We were happy with our choice of pastries, fruit juice and coffees.
