This is NOT a four star hotel at all. Firstly you cannot find it on the road as it’s poorly signposted. Once you do find it, you get out your car to be greeted by the stench of sewage. The room had a view of a wall, and we couldn’t sit outside because of the smell and the mosquitos. Apparently according to the notice in the room you’re not allowed to use the fridge or what they call ‘mini bar’ to store your own drinks, we did because that’s a ridiculous rule. Also, the shower is bad and the shower curtain sticks to you. Mosquitos will be in your room regardless of if you keep the doors shut or not. Always found them in the bath dead in the morning. Can’t take your room key with you if you go out, first for me. There’s nothing to do or walk to nearby as in an industrial type estate.
Positives, yes there are some, the room was clean, the breakfast was served at a good time and was nice, not enough choice though. Personally I would avoid this place like the plague. Don’t use the hotel restaurant next door for dinner, we got treated badly and made to feel unwelcome. Service was awful

We were placed in this ‘accommodation’ overnight after our flight home was cancelled. It bares no resemblance to the website whatsoever (photos or descriptions). The website states it is a 4 Star establishment, I understand that 4 star in the EU is not the same as in the UK, but this place was unrecognisable. Pro’s - the room was small but clean and the sole member of staff on reception was polite and tried to be helpful. Cons - Much further away from the centre of Naples than expected ( approximately 40 minute drive). In the middle of nowhere, down a side road in an industrial area. Very isolated location, no shops, bars, restaurants or food vendors within walking distance. There is No Restaurant on site, only a “breakfast room” which is open from 7am to 10am (breakfast is brought in from somewhere else). The WiFi was very intermittent and the electricity kept going off in our room. The TV didn’t work. Mini bar had two small bottles of water, there was a kettle but only 2 T-bags (camomile & earl grey) no milk. Stench from the drains is awful. Looks closed from the outside. Across the road is a municipal dump. The Best Western Residence is not a hotel, it’s more like a Motel, just rooms for hire. Fine if you’re visiting on business and just want a place to sleep. According to the website it’s perfect for families but it’s definitely not a place I would want to stay with children, nor would I visit again.

Close but expensive via taxi to get to central Naples or even to Campi Flegrei station.

Smell was really bad here and it's way further from airport than they claim on advertising. We had two taxi/ubers cancel on us because of the location. Bed was also hard as a rock and we decided to change hotels and just pay because it was non refundable

The hotel was clean and we were well received at check in. However, the location was mixed among small car dealerships and tricky to find. There is a front gate and peering through it I thought the place looked closed. No one answered the call button and we were a bit concerned. We eventually found the entrance past the gated street down some steps. We were early but were given directions to a lovely restaurant that was about a ten minute walk where we had a fabulous lunch. Our room was quirky and sparsely furnished. We had two large bathrooms and three closets but nowhere to sit except on a bed or at a small dining table. There was one small television that had about four channels. My biggest complaint was the WiFi. It worked for about five minutes and then we could never get back on. Fortunately we were only overnighting there. They arranged a taxi for the airport and the driver was on time and delightful. We booked this last minute when a reservation at a different hotel fell through and this is the viewpoint of a typical spoiled American. It was clean and safe, which was our priority.

I'd love to review this hotel but I can't. Our transfer driver from the airport dropped us outside with a look of dismay and confusion on his face. The hotel was all shuttered and closed up, and looked like it had been for a long time. We ended up in the neighbouring hotel which is apparently it's sister hotel, and is dated with few amenities. The area itself is industrial and nowhere near the beach, with nothing going on at the weekend, limited expensive travel options and only one cafe nearby which doesn't open at weekends.

we were moved to an American hotel, the only remark is that the whole staff sings terribly loud in the hallway and makes a lot of noise. Quite rude. There is no buffet for breakfast and the portions are the same for everyone. this, I would stay again. good luck

Best Hotel I have ever stayed in.
Staff very helpfull and friendly.
Catered for special needs (if necessary).

Rooms very clean. Very tastefully decorated. No clashing bright colours. Wonderful big balconies. Beautiful marble staircase.

Views of volcanic fumerals from hotel. The hotel is situated between Naples and Pozzuoli with a bus connection and bus stop right by the hotel, linking to the trains at Campi flegrei. I usually walked as there is a lot to see.

Staff all helped me plan daytrips. Nothing was too much trouble. Defiantly recommend to anyone. Very very impressed.
