Hotel La Madonnina in Ischia Town

Fantastic hotel, the private beach area is relaxing, and the spa treatments are excellent. Nearby plenty of restaurants and the bus stop to see other parts of the island is just outside the entrance. We enjoyed the breakfast choices, with beautiful views. Staff on reception, at breakfast and in the spa were fantastic. We stayed in the superior sea view room which gives you a small garden seating area - with more amazing views. Only minor issue the showerhead could do with replacing, but the room is huge, light and airy and we loved our stay.

Excellent experience. The rooms are quiet and very clean as well as well appointed. The private beach and beach club are why I chose this hotel and were a huge benefit. This hotel felt like an oasis. The staff offer a high level of customer service and aim to be friendly and helpful. I would stay again in a heart beat. Two helpful things to know, only a few restaurants within easy walking distance. For more options take the bus or rent a scooter during your stay. While I appreciated the hotel helping with booking our boat trip, we didn’t love the provider and felt we would have enjoyed another tour provider better. Also robust complimentary breakfast buffet with a menu of dishes you can custom order including egg dishes which is rare to find in Italy. Big benefit!

Beautiful private beach. Wonderful staff. Very relaxing and heavenly.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the coast with access to a small private beach and decks to relax and a beach restaurant. The rooms were sea facing towards the bay of Naples, were very comfortable with quirky furnishings. The food was all excellent with variety and creative both for lunch and dinner All the staff were incredible, helpful, polite, friendly and everything you can wish for. If you haven’t planned ahead they can also organise trips in the island and suggest local restaurants if you want to eat out Thoroughly recommended- we will be returning

The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating to us the entire trip. The beach club with its dining opportunity, swimming sunbathing, and staff adhering to any, and all of your needs was amazing.. The people are so gracious at the hotel and treated you like a prince and a princess.. the rooms were beautiful. The view overlooking the ocean was so serene. we feel incredibly relaxed and grateful to everyone

Great waterfont hotel near Casamiccola
Perched on a cliff top just to the east of Casamiccola (less than 1mile walk), this small, boutique hotel has a great deal to love.

From the cute garden entrance to the magnificent view, the historical tile throughout, the whole hotel is a visual delight.

If there is anything better than the view, it is the delightful staff who were super friendly. Breakfast maitre'd greeted us with a smile every morning and she made sure we had all the food and coffee we needed. The desk team lead by Stefani was uniformly helpful and offered advice, recommendations and scheduled many a taxi for us. They even arranged for quick turn on some laundry the day before our departure. The bar manager (Aldo) was a fabulous host, arranging not just drinks, but lovely appetizers to go with them.

Good team at the beach where there is plenty for everyone. If you want dining, there is a lovely over water patio. If you want some sandy beach, there is a small bit of that. But through creative use of rocks and grottoes, there are places to relax (even a hammock), snorkel and swim. Sea Kayaks for the adventurous. From the smallest child to the older crowd, there was something at the beach. For me, sitting on the jetty with a cold drink (they make a very nice Hugo) and watching all the boats go back and forth was a relaxing and delightful way to relax.

Be aware, the beach requires quite a few steps to reach, so might be a bit of a challenge for those with bad knees.

Wonderful vacation - will stay again!
The hotel and the staff were nothing short of exceptional. My sister and a friend and I had a great girls get away. Our rooms were outstanding. The breakfast was amazing. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. We greatly appreciated the hotel staff assisting with transportation arrangement from the airport all the way to the front door of the hotel. There was a short walk to the closest port for dinner and everything else was a short cab or bus ride away. I look forward to visiting Ischia again and staying here!

A lovely hotel right on the sea with an excellent beach club and water access area. Very helpful and responsive staff. Good value for money. Excellent local restaurants and recommendations.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. From the very beginning, everything felt easy and comfortable, which made a big difference. The food was one of the highlights. Every meal was delicious—fresh ingredients, great flavors, and nicely presented. You could tell a lot of thought went into the menu. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the quality stayed consistent, and the service during meals was just as impressive. Friendly, fast, and always with a smile.

I have just returned from a week in Ischia with my daughters. It is a beautiful island. We had a wonderful time and couldn't praise this hotel more highly. It appears to be run by a family (as most businesses in Ischia seem to be) and all the staff/family were wonderfully helpful. The rooms were spotless, the sea views (and sunsets) superb and the terrace breakfast was really good. The beach club is lovely with kind attendants. Don't be put off by the location which is on the outskirts of Casamicciola Terme - the bus service run by EAV is regular, ultra-reliable, cheap and runs until very late. Just get to Ischia Porto and by a weekly ticket from the bus station. You can get to Forio, Lacco Ameno, Ischia Porto or Ischia Ponte very easily by bus. Taxis are also always available. Our favourite trips were a recommended boat trip from Forio, a day in Negombo, and the evening vibes at Ischia Porto and Lacco. We will definitely be returning.
