Hotel La Madonnina

A lovely hotel right on the sea with an excellent beach club and water access area. Very helpful and responsive staff. Good value for money. Excellent local restaurants and recommendations.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. From the very beginning, everything felt easy and comfortable, which made a big difference. The food was one of the highlights. Every meal was delicious—fresh ingredients, great flavors, and nicely presented. You could tell a lot of thought went into the menu. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the quality stayed consistent, and the service during meals was just as impressive. Friendly, fast, and always with a smile.

I have just returned from a week in Ischia with my daughters. It is a beautiful island. We had a wonderful time and couldn't praise this hotel more highly. It appears to be run by a family (as most businesses in Ischia seem to be) and all the staff/family were wonderfully helpful. The rooms were spotless, the sea views (and sunsets) superb and the terrace breakfast was really good. The beach club is lovely with kind attendants. Don't be put off by the location which is on the outskirts of Casamicciola Terme - the bus service run by EAV is regular, ultra-reliable, cheap and runs until very late. Just get to Ischia Porto and by a weekly ticket from the bus station. You can get to Forio, Lacco Ameno, Ischia Porto or Ischia Ponte very easily by bus. Taxis are also always available. Our favourite trips were a recommended boat trip from Forio, a day in Negombo, and the evening vibes at Ischia Porto and Lacco. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed 3 nights in a Superior Queen Room with sea view terrace, bountiful made to order breakfast included. Room super clean, bed very comfortable, pretty decor with colorful tile floors and hand painted bathroom tiles. Plush bath towels, robes & slippers provided. Super accommodating friendly staff provided top level service, from front desk to breakfast servers who brought us made to order coffees and fresh squeezed orange juice, to beach staff:‘would you like your umbrella raised? may I bring you some towels? a drink?’ Elevators to spa and beach levels a real plus. Great bar service at beach and in main reception lounge. Peaceful location, very nice common areas and lovely grounds. Highly recommend.

La Madonnina is absolutely amazing and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Ischia! The hotel has a wonderful sun deck and sheltered area for swimming. We booked the Superior room which included breakfast and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The hotel offers a shuttle from the Casamicciola port. The manager and team are extremely nice and welcoming making sure to continually check in with us throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning to hotel La Madonnina during our next visit to Ischia.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We had a nice corner room overlooking the sea. The breakfast was fantastic. We had dinner one night and it was good, too. One day they even provided a private wine tasting at the hotel for us. It was too cold to go out and sunbathe. Did use the indoor heated/thermal pool. Would stay here again.

All the staff at LaMadonnina are friendly & helpful. Grazie mille to Aldo, the cheerful bartender, who made a zesty Americano and a lovely mocktail for my wife -- served with aperitivi and great conversation at the hotel bar. The view from our seaside room with terrace was beautiful, especially in evening. Staff recommended nice restaurants in Ischia Porto & Ischia Ponte -- close to Castello Aragonese. We spent five days on Ischia and quickly decided the bus was the easiest way to explore the island. If you get hungry for mid-day snack, try Lo Sfizio Pizzeria just down the street from LaMadonnina. They make the pizza right in front of you!

A beautifully appointed hotel overlooking the sea with its own private beach and beach bar. The staff are sweet and accommodating. The food is wonderful. Our room had a patio and private entrance making us feel like we were in our own little world.

La Madonnina is simply the best! We stayed for 4 nights and loved everything about it. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful-Mirella, Annalucia and Benedetta. The breakfast each morning had something for everyone. Francesco was the best server for breakfast and lunch with a positive can do attitude. He always took good care of us. The rooms were super clean thanks to the housekeeping staff. The beach area had everything with bar, restaurant, chairs/ umbrellas, kayaks, sea water for swimming. One of the nicest hotel beach areas we’ve visited. Also, you can easily walk into the small town of Casamicciola Terme for restaurants, shopping, etc.. Can’t wait to return again soon!

We were staying in this lovely hotel for the first leg of our honeymoon for three nights. The lovely team Upgraded us to a fabulous balcony room with a private hot tub. A real treat and a surprise. They also left us a welcome card contrasting us and a little cake, it was so lovely We enjoyed breakfast each morning, enjoyed a lunch at the beach club and a dinner one evening. The food was delicious and offered beautiful local wines. The staff were so kind and helpful from the reception staff to the wait staff. A short walk to the nearest town and a bus stop at the gate of the hotel bringing you anywhere on the island. The rooms were bright and comfortable, with classic Italian tiles which I loved. The views from the hotel were spectacular. Would recommend this hotel over and over and can’t wait to go back.
