Hotel Brescia & Apartments in Boario Terme

Was here to rent a bike for 1/2 day. Bike itself was good quality but the service was horrible. No mini pump and tyre kit for rent either, no bottle holder at the bike. And the best was: I had the bike for 2.5 hours (from 11:00-13:30) and instead of 1/2 day, they charged me a full day. When I wanted to then use it for the rest of the afternoon, they told me that once returned, this is not possible (even though I had been forced to pay for a full day). Looks like they take tourists for stupid... Well, for the rest of my vacation days, I rent somewhere else. Other bike rentals in the area are much more customer-friendly.

Breakfast was great with a lot of choices. Stuff were very kind, and the location is very convenient. Room was very big compared to standard and had a view of somewhat green water pool (not so much as in the picture). With that, the rooms had no sound proofing at all, and we could hear EVERYTHING from the other TWO rooms adjunct to ours. I couldn't sleep with all the noise (we could even hear them just humming quietly). The pipe noises were the worst. There are simple sound proofing solutions even in old hotels, which would have made this experience a whole lot different...

Hello everyone! We were guests at this hotel in early March and encountered some aspects that we would like to highlight in this review. Check-in at the hotel is until 11:00 PM, and if you arrive at night, there is no possibility to check in. We informed the hotel receptionist that we would be arriving late in the evening and asked if they could leave the keys for us or allow us to check in online. Both of these options are available in many hotels across Europe where the reception is closed at night. However, at Hotel Brescia, both options were completely rejected. The staff member suggested that we cancel our reservation (and lose 50% of the paid amount) and find another hotel if we couldn't arrive on time. They didn't explain how we were supposed to find another hotel in a small town at night. In the end, we warned them that we would try to arrive on time, but at the last minute, and asked if they could make an exception and stay open for at least 10 more minutes. We rushed from Milan airport, arrived at 11:10 PM, and found the door locked. There was no staff present. As a result, we had to urgently search for a hotel in Bergamo (an hour away) in the middle of the night just to find a place to stay. In the morning, we returned and checked in at Hotel Brescia. The rooms were fairly clean, though not renovated—there were dirty and unpainted walls. On the last day of our stay, the staff decided to clean the corridor at 6 AM with a loud vacuum cleaner, waking us up. Our stay included breakfast. There was a lot of different pastries, but basic food items were lacking—there were no eggs and no vegetables. For an extra charge, they brought us a burnt omelette. The breakfast might meet the standard for three stars, but it's still unclear why basic products were missing. It was also noticeable that the staff was economizing on electricity—they only turned on the toaster when someone entered the dining room, so we had to wait about 20 minutes for it to heat up. Additionally, each table had a sign with a warning: you must only take as much food as you can eat, otherwise, you’ll be charged. Essentially, if I didn’t like something at breakfast, I had to either finish it or pay for it. Fortunately, the staff didn’t strictly enforce this. On the positive side, there were many types of juice at breakfast. Another positive was the nice restaurant with very pleasant service. The food was prepared by the chef, and the atmosphere and presentation were lovely. I’d also like to mention the pleasant design of the reception and the first floor—it was very beautiful and neat. In conclusion, I’d like to say that the hotel doesn’t really understand what customer orientation means. In cases where other hotels would have easily made exceptions without hesitation, Hotel Brescia decided to strictly adhere to the rules, which led to wasted money, time, a ruined mood, and of course, a spoiled impression of our stay at the hotel.

We had a smartbox with which we booked 5 months in advance for 2 nights, despite the advance they told us that the rooms included in the offer were sold out and we therefore had to book the comfort one, a better room (includes large space, living area and bathtub towels) paying a supplement of €40 per night; We also called 2 days before to request confirmation of the booking. The response was positive. We arrive at the hotel and are told on the spot that it was full due to the arrival of a larger group than expected. They then made us move from one hotel to an adjacent one, assuring us that the room would have had the same conditions, but due to the inconvenience, we would not have paid the supplement. I would like to point out that they, without our request, made this clarification to us! When checking in at the new hotel we specified that the booking was for 2 nights and they, despite being amazed, confirmed the accommodation. When we arrived in the room we discovered that it was not remotely similar to the one booked, not only was it not "comfortable" but it was very small, without even a bidet. The following morning we go to reception to collect our documents and we are told that we had to check out since they were full and they had agreed with the Brescia hotel that we would only stay one night. So we returned to our hotel, packing our bags in a hurry since we had already scheduled plans, and we discovered that our room wasn't ready yet, we left our bags there and went out. Upon our return (2.30pm, right at check in time), they told us, after looking for the room keys for a good 5 minutes, that it wasn't ready yet, they called the cleaning lady to have it done. While we wait, we discover that other people who arrived at that time have been sent away to another hotel: this is customary. After 30 minutes our room was finally ready (again it was not a comfort room), very spacious, new, even if the shower was taken in the dark since there was no light to illuminate it and the toilet brush was missing. To conclude, the worst thing is that we didn't pay the supplement, not because of the inconvenience but because the rooms were much smaller than the one we booked. As well as being clever, they were also dishonest.
