Albergo Soldanella in Madesimo

Just returned from a wonderful week in Madesimo. As usual a warm welcome from Barbara, Marica and Nicole. Everything about this hotel oozes family, kindness and quality. Impeccably clean, fantastic food and comfy bedrooms. Highly recommend their Pizzochori which is a traditional dish of the region. Their pizza menu is also extensive and delicious. Looking forward to another week in 2027

This lovely albergo was a perfect place to stay in Madesimo. We really could not fault it. Family-run by lovely people who can't do enough for you, perfectly located for the pistes and ski-hire, really great regional food in truly abundant and generous quantities. We couldn't even tear ourselves away to go for apres-ski anywhere else - the drinks were reasonably priced and served with an array of nibbles on the side. Barbara, her family and team are so kind and welcoming, and they work so hard to make your stay the best it can be, as do all the staff. There is a convenient ski locker outside and boot cupboard inside, where everything seems very safe and secure. It was our first time skiing in Madesimo and we liked it very much as a resort, fairly quiet and not overcrowded, although maybe because it's small, so probably only enough for 3-4 days. We will definitely go again anyway. The only downside for us - and absolutely no fault of the hotel - was a party of noisy Brits who sometimes had the unwelcome effect of dominating the atmosphere in the dining room and bar area, some nights until all hours, much to our annoyance and embarrassment as a British couple. The hotel staff were very patient in the circumstances. It all seemed to be much to the bewilderment of an even larger group of much quieter Romans, who seemed to manage to have a perfectly good time without impinging on the experience of others.

Great food in a marvellous resort, well worth trying out while in the resort or passing by. Well worth trying out the menu if in the area or staying nearby for the full italien experience. Views and walks are typical of the Italian Alps too not too expensive either.

Barbara and her family do everything to ensure you get maximum enjoyment during your stay. Comfortable lovely clean rooms have all you need while the food is sumptuous. Amazing buffet breakfast and a great atmosphere in the evening. Not forgetting the gondola station is a snowball throw away! Can’t wait for next year.

If you are visiting this corner of heaven called Madesimo dont't hesitate to try a lovley great dinner on this restaurant.

Have stayed in four hotels in Madesimo and this is the best so far. Family run and very friendly. Amazing food especially the breakfast. Loads of hot water and heating that we had to turn off, it was so good. Nothing is too much trouble.
Great position for the ski lifts ( 75 yards to the nearest). Will definitely stay again if we can.
