As female solo traveler, at first i am worried about the mixed dorm. But i can assured you at MADAMA, it is safe and sound.
Front desk is very helpful!
Breakfast prepared was good and decent amount. Can request front desk for water refill too.
You can borrow lock / hair dryer in case you need.
A short walk from Lordi TIBB metro (going uphill), Carefour nearby (1km, a good 15 minutes walk).
They helped to store my luggage after check out too!

The rooms are spacious. Plenty of utensils in the kitchen. Customer service is amazing and friendly.

I had a great stay at Madama Hostel & Bistrot during the Olympic Games. The hostel has good facilities, creative decoration and nice vibe in common areas in the bistrot. Especially I recommend Saturday night karaoke. The staff is very welcoming. They even found and returned money that I had accidentally lost, so big thanks for that!

Had a great stay at the Madama. Met by the guy on Reception who was very helpful and spoke great English. Room 10 a double with a four poster bed and an en-suite shower room, was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. All the staff were friendly and professional. The Madama is clearly a hub for locals as well as travellers and it had a fantastic atmosphere which felt safe and welcoming. If you are staying in Milan, I would highly recommend the Madama, a hidden gem and great find.

They provided free flow of sparking water and Americano and breakfast for free as well! Amenities are good and they even provided sharing bottles of shampoo/body wash. Also, it’s actually a bar at night. The minus point is the location take 30mins by train to city area and walk to nearest train station take about 10mins. Overall it was a good stay!

Madama was my first hostel experience and it was great! Beds were comfortable and the location was great, about a 5 minute walk to the metro which can get you anywhere in Milan quickly. Area is safe and always people around, but quiet. Madama’s bistrot is very lively, so if you prefer a more quiet hostel this is not for you. You can hear the kitchen working from the room but it’s usually quiet by midnight and starts up around 8 in noise. I did not mind this since I was out and about most of the time, but something to know. All the other hostel stayers were great and I made friends. Highly recommend!
