Perfect to use for a place to sleep!
Was apprehensive due to reviews but genuinely had a really positive experience here. Clean rooms, friendly staff and a perfect location - 5 min walk from Milan Central Station.
Little noisy at times, but expected when in a busy city.

A small yet beautiful hotel close to the Milano Centrale and another metro station. The hotel staff were amazing and wonderful. I deeply appreciate them a lot for helping me to drop off my stuff early. The room is cozy and comfortable. With a wonderful view from two windows and balcony. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to visit. Thank you again.

Don't let the ine star fool you, this hotel was a genuinely great stay. It's simple honest, and does exactly how it's promises. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked as it should.

On a very noisy street near the main train station. Lots of random people around, and I honestly didn’t feel comfortable walking there alone (you know what I mean). The hotel itself was old and poorly maintained. When I asked the staff about room amenities and possibly extending my stay, they were incredibly rude — almost shouting at me when I mentioned my disappointment with the place. It felt like I was supposed to beg the king for basic service. I wouldn’t recommend it, but maybe guests just aren’t supposed to expect much from a low-star hotel like this. Not sure.

We had a reservation and our flight got delayed. I called the reception to let them know and he said he would wait until 1am for an additional 50€. I said okay (although I find it absurd), but I also said I wasn’t sure if we would make it many 1am because it could get more dalayed, so maybe it would be 1:30am. He said he would wait maximum until 1am, and no more. I said “I understand but I can’t control the flight time” and he forced us to cancel the reservation the same day because he would leave us on the streets. Tho hotel shouldn’t be operating.
He shouted on the phone and is genuinely a heartless human being. I hope this place gets shut down. He then said we should change the flight… very aggressively.

Bare in mind this is a 1 star hotel!

Big spacious room, large bathroom that is comfortable to use and very clean.. what more could you want?

I honestly don’t know what the negative reviews were about? We had 0 issues with the rooms, the staff were nice, not chatty or anything but professional

The location is pretty optimal, 8 min walk roughly to the Milan Central station and close to a metro stop and tram

As a 1 star hotel, it is not meant to provide much amenities but they provided teas and coffees in the room which is pretty nice

Most importantly, value for money is perfect

We stayed at Hotel Calypso for 4 days. It’s a good choice for those who don’t have high expectations and are not looking for luxury.

The hotel is quite laid-back and comfortable, but it doesn’t offer anything beyond basic accommodation.

There is hot water, room cleaning, free Wi-Fi, and clean towels available. It’s suitable just for staying the night — which was exactly what we needed. It’s a reliable hotel, and overall.
We were satisfied with our stay.

*Avoid This Hotel – Disrespectful Staff & Terrible Experience*

Having stayed in hotels across different countries and cities, this was the worst experience I have ever had and lead me to write my first Google review to share my experience.

From the moment I checked in, the staff were shockingly rude. At reception, the old, bald man *threw my passport back at me*. When I asked about getting change for my city tax payment, he *yelled at me* in an insulting manner, attempt to repeat my Cantonese in a discriminatory way saying errr errr errr errr (嗯嗯嗯）. My hair literally move from the force of his yelling.

The poor treatment did not stop there. The next day, when I just opened the room door, the same staff *continued to stare at me aggressively*. At checkout, while waiting for the elevator, the housekeeper *shouted at us*.

It is pathetic that this hotel relies on tourists to sustain its business yet *treats with such hostility* . If they are unwilling to welcome international guests with basic respect, they could *delist their property from foreign booking platforms* and *explicitly state that tourists are not welcome*.

I have never in my life encountered this kind of treatment even in my working environments. I paid for the stay not begging for a free stay.

Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of hotels that will treat you with the courtesy and professionalism that every guest deserves.
