Confinale in Santa Caterina Valfurva

Awesome place! For the money - room was fine, had everything needed (or even more). Bed was comfy, room has been cleaned daily. Even during the hot days it was pleasantly cool inside. The breakfast had a good choice of everything: salty, sweet, dairy. All fresh and tasty. Highly appreciated dinners: 2 hours of great Italian cusine with great atmosphere. I really enjoyed that. What’s most important: the owners are friendly, helpful and nice people willing to make tour stay there a great experience. For sure it was one of the most exceptional hotel experiences I had because of their hospitality and friendly attitude.

The Hote Confinale is a hidden gem in the Stelvio national park just along the valley from Bormio. It is run by Francesca and her family who are the most friendly and welcoming people you could wish to meet.The food they have on offer is gourmet standard and could not be bettered in any 5 star hotel.The location of the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Gondola so minimal carrying of your ski equipment and offers great snow sure skiing because of its altitude.My friends and I have no hesitation in recommending the Confinale to anyone who wants a welcoming friendly environment with great food and easy access to snow sure skiing

The thing i will remember the most - it's owner - Francesca and her approach to people - customers . She tries very hard to make this hotel the best place for travelers . Also customer service is on high level . Very good food - i highly reccomend to be every day at 19:30 in dining room ( restaurant ) , you get a 4 diffrent plates ( first , second dish + dessert etc. - everything local and home made , you feel like you have dinner in home ) . The rooms are maybe not the bighest , its tight, but as for 2 star hotel its more than enough . In my opinion it might have 3 stars :) Was a pleasure to be your guest . Very nice little hotel in the best location imagined. Just opposite the main ski slope and in front of the ski bus. Rooms little, old-fashioned, but include everything that is needed. Amazing service in the hotel (Thank you for everything Francesca!), always helpful and friendly. Breakfasts and dinners fresh, homemade and very good. Would like to come back one day.

Cannot imagine a better place to stay for a ski holiday. The atmosphere is one of a kind. You feel like you’re at your grandmas place. Food is homemade and you will never be disappointed. Genuine Italian and Tyrolean cuisine. Hotel is owned by very friendly people that will make sure you have everything you need. Rooms are warm and cosy and cleaned daily. 5/5

Delicious, Itallian food. Brilliant room service, Dog friendly. Has a garden with trampoline, basketball, sunchairs and trampoline. Kids love it!
