AC Hotel by Marriott Milan Sesto in Sesto San Giovanni

This summer, my family and I stayed at the AC Hotel Milan Sesto, and we absolutely loved our experience. The location was perfect, and the breakfast spread each morning was incredible.

Here are some of the highlights from our stay:

Spacious, comfortable rooms: The beds were extremely comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job keeping our room spotless every day. The washrooms were also large and very comfortable with complimentary toiletries

In-room amenities: Complimentary water bottles, coffee, and tea were available, along with a large-screen TV.

Amazing breakfast: The breakfast selection was exceptional everyday - hot dishes, eggs, bacon, sausages, grilled vegetables, cheeses, fresh juices, fruits, assorted yogurts and cereals, multiple coffee options and hot chocolate, teas, and an outstanding variety of pastries and cakes. The price felt very reasonable, especially considering how expensive ready-made food can be in Italy.

Convenient location: The hotel is a short 5-minute walk from the Sesto 1 Maggio FS Metro station (the end of the red line), which takes you directly to major Milan attractions like the Duomo.

Safe, quiet area: The neighbourhood around the hotel felt safe and peaceful. We often returned late in the evenings, and the walk back to the hotel was always pleasant.

Airport transport: We took an Uber from Malpensa Airport (Terminal 1) to the hotel, which cost about €120.

Breakfast was ok but personals need to smile a bit more.😊

I had a great experience at this hotel. Starting off with Sabrina on the front desk who was very polite and friendly and whose English was first class. The rooms were great, and breakfast has a large choice of food. Location was a little far away from the town centre but nothing a metro or cab ride didn't fix.

We took the airport shuttle 🚌 from Malpensa Airport to the train station, then changed to bus No. 87 to the hotel. The area around the hotel was a bit deserted, so there weren't many options for dining out. We arrived at the hotel at 10 a.m. and luckily there was a room available, so we checked in immediately. On our first stop in Europe, we immediately experienced the hospitality and attentiveness of the Italians ☺️... The uncle in a black suit at the front desk enthusiastically asked about our travel plans. Knowing that we were going to Paris the next day, he enthusiastically told us about transportation routes and told us to pack breakfast boxes to take away. It was really thoughtful. Thank you again.

The bed was so comfortable. There was a gym where you can do cardio and weight exercises. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

The good:
Largish rooms, which we appreciated as we are long range travellers with luggage
The rooms are well-appointed and modern.
Quality bedding.
Helpful, friendly and highly competent staff.
Good breakfast.
Nice bar area .
Location is good, near a metro station and a short 15-20 minute ride into the city.

The not so good:
Restaurant closed on a Sunday

The hotel room door cannot be closed when it is closed. You need to swipe the card again to close it. Everything else is very convenient and meets Marriott standards. Mini bar and refrigerator are provided. Air conditioning is OK and not loud.
Parking is available in the basement, 18 euros/day
There are supermarkets and Japanese, Chinese and Italian restaurants nearby, so it is very convenient to eat
Next to the subway station, 100-200 meters walk, you can take Line 1 directly to Milan Cathedral and other downtown attractions. The subway is much better than New York...If someone says it is dirty~
