Forte Village Resort - Il Castello

This review is of the resort, not the actual room we stayed in to which I gave a three stars (feel free to read my review in La Pineta).

The facilities at Forte Village and it’s privileged location with a private beach are fantastic. The SPA heavenly. The kids entertainment area, perfect. I could go on, there are a ton of positives but certainly more than one few annoyances that stops this from being a five star review (or resort).

- the beach loungers system is ridiculous. Do you want to be at the beach from 9-11 or 9-12? It’s lovely and most empty but you will have to do with a third row lounger so you can watch the first and second row who will proceed to not show up just so you can see their reserved empty seats. I suggest you allow people to pay for their loungers booking with some clever online system, the way it is now, being free and unfair, causes way too much annoyance.

- the staff buggies and bikes operate at speeds that are way too fast for the alleys, it is dangerous and one nearly crashed into a girl on a bike. I suggest you make some pedestrian only markings and streets.

- the breakfast buffet selection and service are far from five stars.

If your looking for a spot of luxury then here is the place. Facilities galore and acres of space lots of accommodation choice. The villas in the palm enclosure are quiet and really comfy. At least 3 large pools and lots of sporting choice as well. Access to the private beach is easily in walking distance from main complex. Well worth a visit if you want to spoil yourself.
