High-quality and varied buffet dining praised as 'probably the best buffet dining we’ve ever enjoyed' with excellent seafood and pasta options. Children’s entertainment team is highly committed, with activities like aqua gym and stage dancing, making it appealing for families. Rooms and public areas are generally clean and well maintained, with good air conditioning noted by guests. The location near a small sandy beach is convenient and praised for safety and suitability for snorkeling. Staff members such as waiter Florin and animation team members Aurora and Giada received positive mentions for friendliness and helpfulness. Several guests criticized the restaurant staff, particularly one individual named George/Jorge, for poor and unfriendly service. Complaints about the reception and front desk service include disorganization, lack of assistance with luggage, and missed early check-in calls. Some reviews note dated room features, including old bathrooms and weak water pressure, likened to a budget motel experience. Wi-Fi is reportedly weak outside of communal areas, which can be inconvenient for guests. Public transport options near the hotel are limited, making car hire advisable for exploring the area.

We had a lovely time. Positives: we were given 80 euros at the bar. It was half board plus, so breakfast and dinner. Wine with dinner. Room was good. Service was good. Food was fantastic. Italian and lovely. Closest town was 1 mile for shops etc. Canagione. No problem for us. The beach was about 400 metres. 10 euros if you want a sunbed. Other lovely beaches that we walked to. Great boat trip, flyer from the hotel, 65 euros. Took the bus, from just outside the hotel, to Porto Cervo and Baja Sardena. Enjoyed both. Negative: The little man that runs the restaurant. George/Jorge. (Romanian) I broke 2 rules on my second day. I filled up my water bottle in the restaurant, and I took my wine glass to the outside area. On both occasions, he spoke to me as if I was a criminal. I contained my rage, as I know my lady would not be happy if I reacted. To the management, get rid of this guy. He is bad for business. Please look at my previous reviews..all positive.

Lovely hotel, getting a bit tired around the edges but clean, tidy and looked after Food was probably the best ‘buffet’ dining we’ve ever enjoyed. Pasta heaven, fish, cooked meats all perfect. Likewise breakfast was full of choices Florin, our waiter, was a mine of useful information about beaches, sightseeing also great around the restaurant. Most of the serving staff were happy, cheerful, lots of friendly chat xx. We really looked forward to meals. The beach was wonderful, small, clean, safe, snorkelling was great, much better than other more expensive, ‘sought after’ beaches. Down side the public transport was not good, bad timings and nothing middle of the day so we had to hire a car but that was ok, lots of sightseeing x Definitely for younger families who were really looked after, our ‘tweenager’ was unimpressed by the evening entertainment We loved our holiday here xx thank you Stefano for your staff’s none stop efforts

Overall, a good experience and an enjoyable 1 week stay here with our young family. I will start with the positives: FOOD! the food was delicous, every single evening without fail. It was way beyond the standard we expected before arriving, and we were pleasantly surprised! There was lots of choice, even enough to satisfy our fussy toddler! CHILDRENS ENTERTAINMENT The highlight of our sons evening, dancing on stage with Pluto. They absolutely loved it! Although it was samey and the entertainiment starts late (9.15pm) it is also catered more for Italian speakers, which was the same for the poolside entertainment, but it didnt stop our sons from enjoying it. POOLS - A nice size adult pool and a smaller, shallow one for the younger children. A lot of the Italians take their siestas from 1-4pm so if you visit at these times it will be nice and quiet! but gets busy later in the afternoon. LOCATION - Beutiful location but we struggled being so far out with young children, getting them to walk anywhere is a challenge, Its about 20 min walk into Cannigione and you can double that with little legs in tow and in the heat! we decided to hire a car for a few days to make life easier and to allow us to explore a bit more. AMMENITIES - Dissapointed in the room ammenities, no kettle, no cups, no iron, not a lot really! a bottle of water on arrival would go a long way. My husband had to walk for an hour in the heat to get some water for the room as soon as we had arrived after a long journey. STAFF - There were a few bar staff that were friendly, but we found the majority to be a bit cold towards us, wasnt sure if its because we are British, but my husband speaks Italian fairly fluently! BEACH- The beach which is a short walk from the hotel isnt the best, i would reccommend a visit to Cala Lena which is a 3 minute drive from the hotel and much nicer! BAR - A good selection of drinks but its pricey, and they run up a tab and charge it to your room so its hard to know if its right or not at checkout unless you itemise every single thing you have purchased! our final bill seemed a bit excessive to me. Overall, a nice stay with our family, we would return but would prepare better next time to make life easier.

The hotel is aimed at families, and has a fabulously committed Mini club and entertainment team. Aurora and Amira were so lovely to our daughter, Samuela’s aqua gym is very good and the shows whilst in Italian were fun and enjoyable. The food was great and dinner and we enjoyed plenty of the local wine they offered. It is a relaxed experience as you are allocated a table and the staff clearing tables were efficient and friendly, particularly the two men at the back who served us! WiFi is a bit iffy other than in communal areas and it is a bit of a walk into Cannigione, though it’s very pretty. The beach is lovely and sandy, though it’s cheaper to get an umbrella and use the public bit. I’d recommend using google translate to check pronunciations of places and phrases as not all locals, including bus drivers and the closest snack bar are very forgiving of you don’t speak Italian! Riva Azzura on the edge of Cannigione is a great place for ice cream, coffee, a drink or a meal.

Two stars is generous. This place is a masterclass in how not to run a hotel. 1. Arrived at 12:00, asked about early check-in. “No, but we’ll call you around 1 PM when the room is ready.” Great — we went to explore the island. Came back at 6 PM… still no call. Spoiler: they never even tried. 2. Called reception for help with luggage. The response? “There is no one at the moment.” Translation: Carry it yourself, peasant. 3. Reception is like a street market without the charm — guests crammed together, arguing over who’s first, while the staff helps whoever they feel like. 4. Tried to get a taxi for a ferry to Corsica. Receptionist Eleonora (remember this name) slides me a card for a taxi company like she’s dealing poker. I call — no cars. I go back for help, she tells me to wait… then calls another guest instead. Even the other guest looked confused, like “Aren’t you going to finish with them?” Result: we missed our ferry and had to book a later one. Bravo. If you enjoy being ignored, watching chaos unfold in real time, and feeling like an inconvenience to the people you’re paying, this is your dream destination. For the rest of us: pick literally anywhere else. P.S. The room? Fine — if you’re into dated bathrooms, weak water pressure, and cheap shower gel glued to the wall. Felt just like a budget NYC motel, minus the personality. Location is the only decent thing — close to the beach and boat rentals — which is probably why they’re still in business.

We have stayed here for the past 2 weeks and absolutely loved the hotel. Some of the reviews had me concerned before we arrived but I honestly am not sure what these were based on as we have found it a lovely place to stay. The location is great for a beautiful beach but would recommend hiring a car if you want to go further as there no shops close by and not really public transport you can rely on. The hotel itself however is very clean, comfortable and has brilliant air conditioning in the rooms! The food is brilliant and always an excellent and vast choice, something for everyone. A lot of amazing seafood. Great breakfast options also. The staff are all very friendly and attentive, the servers, waiters, reception, bar and cleaners all lovely and helpful. The animation team do an amazing job, they are not just there for the children, they put in the time with adults too playing games on the beach, exercise classes and great shows at night after the mini club. We don't usually go to these on holiday but after they told us about them, we went to see them and I am glad we did. They all work so hard every day and are very friendly, we spoke more to Giada and Aurora who are both so lovely, hard working and brilliant at their jobs! Would definitely recommend this hotel if you dont mind driving or walking to shops. Please don't be put off by the bad reviews as we have personally not experienced anything negative in the 2 weeks we have been here and everyone else seems to be happy here too. The swimming cap in the pool rule put us off using the pool a little but I think this is quite common in Italy so we just weren't used to this. All in all, a great hotel with great food and staff.

Blu Hotel Laconia Village – Where Comfort and Service Go to Die If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be trapped in a 1980s time capsule of disappointment, welcome to Blu Hotel Laconia Village. The room? Think of a cheap roadside motel, minus the charm. Moldy smell? Check. Peeling walls? Check. A mattress so thin it could double as cardboard? Oh yes. You’ll wake up more exhausted than when you went to bed. Staff interactions were... educational. I’ve learned that customer service can actually be a myth. Whether you ask for help or just say hello, prepare to be ignored, shrugged at, or met with a look that says, “Why are you ruining my day by existing?” The food deserves its own horror story. Lukewarm, bland, and served with all the enthusiasm of a funeral buffet. If you're on a diet, perfect – you’ll lose your appetite instantly. Let’s not forget the "resort" amenities. The pool area is where broken sunbeds go to die, and the loud, relentless animation team makes sure you’ll never enjoy a moment of peace. Want a relaxing vacation? Try a war zone. It might be quieter. In short, Blu Hotel Laconia Village is a masterclass in how not to run a hotel. Avoid it like you'd avoid spoiled seafood in the sun.

A good hotel. Friendly staff. The receptionist, Alesia, gave us a very warm welcome and provided all the necessary information. For the price, the room could have been a bit more modern. The breakfast could also be more varied. High marks for the staff and entertainment.
