The location was perfect. The owners were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable for us. The shower was small, but the water pressure was excellent. The water temperature could be as cold or hot as you'd like it. The breakfast was good.
But beware, there is not an elevator. There are probably thirty stairs up, which was not a problem for us, but just a heads up. Although when we were leaving they lowered out luggage off the balcony, so that was nice to not have to carry them down. I imagine that would probably would have lifted them up too if needed. We would return here and we would recommend.

It is definately not a bad place. Yes it is relatively loud but come on... we are in the city center. Have you ever been to a city center that is quiet? My husband managed to sleep and I used earplugs as I'm sound sensitive. Albergo is super close to many turistic places and also has great restaurants around. The system of leaving key at the reception was very odd and I was scared that someone will come in but after a while I got used to it.

This hotel ruined my summer vacation. impossible to sleep in the evening because the windows are not insulating and they overlook the armored alley of restaurants/bars. In addition, the manager wakes up around 6:30 a.m. and speaks very loudly with her employees, which wakes up all the people sleeping in their rooms. and she also has a dog that barks from time to time :). In addition, the beds are rotten and the smell in the pillows is too dirty and the hallway smells of disgusting cooking which enters the rooms. I ended up getting sick on the last day of my vacation because of the fatigue of not sleeping in the evening or in the morning.
I do not recommend this hotel at all maybe sleeping outside is better than sleeping in this hotel .

The location was the only thing that stood up. You are actually in the very center of historic Palermo. But that’s unfortunately all you can enjoy. Because you must expect: No parking. No elevator. Very noisy. Old small room and balcony. Friendly hosts but this can not save the day. It’s very expensive for what you are getting,,..

I can only say one good thing about this hotel and that it was very clean. But it was up two flights of steep stairs and in the heart of - and above - the restaurant and nightlife area. My bed was very uncomfortable; a rather wobbly iron frame with a piece of hardboard covering it, on top of which was a mattress. The sheets and pillow cases were very clean but the cover was very thin and shabby. After the first morning we went out for breakfast as here it consisted of way too much sugar - even by Italian standards and was, I thought, expensive for what we were given. But...the worst experience was the relentless noise. All night with no respite. Very loud music from the bars and people wandering the streets. We didn't sleep at all for 3 nights. We stayed at two other places in different parts of Sicily, both of which were just wonderful, but I'm afraid I would never go back to, or recommend the Verdi.

I have no complaints with anything but the room I took was very small. Also the reception area was a 2 flight walk up with no elevator. The hosts were very kind and the breakfast was ample.

Very clean hotel in a fantastic location. Old fashioned fournitures that give a touch of liberty style. The lady who received us was very attentive to our needs. A very good place to stay when visiting Palermo.
Last but not least, there is a very good supervised parking at a very short distance.
